* And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together (5631 ), he demanded (5711 ) of them where Christ should be born (5743 ). * And they said (5627 ) unto him , In Bethlehem of Judaea : for thus it is written (5769 ) by the prophet , * And thou Bethlehem , in the land of Juda , art (5748 ) not the least among the princes of Juda : for out of thee shall come (5695 ) a Governor (5740 ), that shall rule (5692 ) my people Israel . * Then Herod , when he had privily called (5660 ) the wise men , enquired of them diligently (5656 ) what time the star appeared (5730 ). * And he sent (5660 ) them to Bethlehem , and said (5627 ), Go (5679 ) and search (5657 ) diligently for the young child ; and when ye have found (5632 ) him , bring me word again (5657 ), that I may come (5631 ) and worship (5661 ) him also .
