* And Jesus answered (5679 ) and spake (5627 ) unto them again by parables , and said (5723 ), * The kingdom of heaven is like (5681 ) unto a certain king , which made (5656 ) a marriage for his son , * And sent forth (5656 ) his servants to call (5658 ) them that were bidden (5772 ) to the wedding : and they would (5707 ) not come (5629 ). * Again , he sent forth (5656 ) other servants , saying (5723 ), Tell (5628 ) them which are bidden (5772 ), Behold (5628 ), I have prepared (5656 ) my dinner : my oxen and my fatlings are killed (5772 ), and all things are ready : come (5773 ) unto the marriage . * But they made light of (5660 ) it , and went their ways (5627 ), one to his farm , another to his merchandise : * And the remnant took (5660 ) his servants , and entreated them spitefully (5656 ), and slew (5656 ) them . * But when the king heard (5660 ) thereof , he was wroth (5681 ): and he sent forth (5660 ) his armies , and destroyed (5656 ) those murderers , and burned up (5656 ) their city . * Then saith he (5719 ) to his servants , The wedding is (5748 ) ready , but they which were bidden (5772 ) were (5713 ) not worthy . * Go ye (5737 ) therefore into the highways , and as many as ye shall find (5632 ), bid (5657 ) to the marriage . * So those servants went out (5631 ) into the highways , and gathered together (5627 ) all as many as they found (5627 ), both bad and good : and the wedding was furnished (5681 ) with guests (5740 ). * And when the king came in (5631 ) to see (5664 ) the guests (5740 ), he saw (5627 ) there a man which had not on (5765 ) a wedding garment : * And he saith (5719 ) unto him , Friend , how camest thou (5627 ) in hither not having (5723 ) a wedding garment ? And he was speechless (5681 ). * Then said (5627 ) the king to the servants , Bind (5660 ) him hand and foot , and take him away (5657 ), and cast (5628 ) him into outer darkness ; there shall be (5704 ) weeping and gnashing of teeth . * For many are (5748 ) called , but few are chosen .
