* And except those days should be shortened (5681 ), there should no flesh be saved (5681 ): but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened (5701 ). * Then if any man shall say (5632 ) unto you , Lo (5628 ), here is Christ , or there ; believe (5661 ) it not . * For there shall arise (5701 ) false Christs , and false prophets , and shall shew (5692 ) great signs and wonders ; insomuch that , if it were possible , they shall deceive (5658 ) the very elect . * Behold (5628 ), I have told you before (5758 ). * Wherefore if they shall say (5632 ) unto you , Behold (5628 ), he is (5748 ) in the desert ; go not forth (5632 ): behold (5628 ), he is in the secret chambers ; believe (5661 ) it not . * For as the lightning cometh (5736 ) out of the east , and shineth (5727 ) even unto the west ; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (5704 ). * For wheresoever the carcase is (5753 ), there will the eagles be gathered together (5701 ). * Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened (5701 ), and the moon shall not give (5692 ) her light , and the stars shall fall (5699 ) from heaven , and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken (5701 ): * And then shall appear (5691 ) the sign of the Son of man in heaven : and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn (5695 ), and they shall see (5695 ) the Son of man coming (5740 ) in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory . * And he shall send (5692 ) his angels with a great sound of a trumpet , and they shall gather together (5692 ) his elect from the four winds , from one end of heaven to the other .
