* You are the salt of the earth , but if the salt becomes tasteless , with what shall it be salted ? For it has strength for nothing any more but to be thrown out and to be trampled under by men . * You are the light of the world . A city situated on a mountain cannot be hidden . * Nor do they light a lamp and put it under the grain measure , but on the lampstand ; and it shines for all who are in the house . * So let your light shine before men , so that they may see your good works , and may glorify your Father in Heaven .
