* When he was come down (5631 ) from the mountain , great multitudes followed (5656 ) him . * And , behold (5628 ), there came (5631 ) a leper and worshipped (5707 ) him , saying (5723 ), Lord , if thou wilt (5725 ), thou canst (5736 ) make me clean (5658 ). * And Jesus put forth (5660 ) his hand , and touched (5662 ) him , saying (5723 ), I will (5719 ); be thou clean (5682 ). And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (5681 ). * And Jesus saith (5719 ) unto him , See (5720 ) thou tell (5632 ) no man ; but go thy way (5720 ), shew (5657 ) thyself to the priest , and offer (5628 ) the gift that Moses commanded (5656 ), for a testimony unto them . * And when Jesus was entered (5631 ) into Capernaum , there came (5627 ) unto him a centurion , beseeching (5723 ) him , * And saying (5723 ), Lord , my servant lieth (5769 ) at home sick of the palsy , grievously tormented (5746 ). * And Jesus saith (5719 ) unto him , I will come (5631 ) and heal (5692 ) him . * The centurion answered (5679 ) and said (5713 ), Lord , I am (5748 ) not worthy that thou shouldest come (5632 ) under my roof : but speak (5628 ) the word only , and my servant shall be healed (5701 ). * For I am (5748 ) a man under authority , having (5723 ) soldiers under me : and I say (5719 ) to this man , Go (5676 ), and he goeth (5736 ); and to another , Come (5736 ), and he cometh (5736 ); and to my servant , Do (5657 ) this , and he doeth (5719 ) it . * When Jesus heard (5660 ) it , he marvelled (5656 ), and said (5627 ) to them that followed (5723 ), Verily I say (5719 ) unto you , I have not found (5627 ) so great faith , no , not in Israel . * And I say (5719 ) unto you , That many shall come (5692 ) from the east and west , and shall sit down (5701 ) with Abraham , and Isaac , and Jacob , in the kingdom of heaven . * But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out (5701 ) into outer darkness : there shall be (5704 ) weeping and gnashing of teeth . * And Jesus said (5627 ) unto the centurion , Go thy way (5720 ); and as thou hast believed (5656 ), so be it done (5676 ) unto thee . And his servant was healed (5681 ) in the selfsame hour . * And when Jesus was come (5631 ) into Peters house , he saw (5627 ) his wifes mother laid (5772 ), and sick of a fever (5723 ). * And he touched (5662 ) her hand , and the fever left (5656 ) her : and she arose (5681 ), and ministered (5707 ) unto them . * When the even was come (5637 ), they brought (5656 ) unto him many that were possessed with devils (5740 ): and he cast out (5627 ) the spirits with his word , and healed (5656 ) all that were (5723 ) sick : * That it might be fulfilled (5686 ) which was spoken (5685 ) by Esaias the prophet , saying (5723 ), Himself took (5627 ) our infirmities , and bare (5656 ) our sicknesses . * Now when Jesus saw (5631 ) great multitudes about him , he gave commandment (5656 ) to depart (5629 ) unto the other side . * And a certain scribe came (5631 ), and said (5627 ) unto him , Master , I will follow (5692 ) thee whithersoever thou goest (5741 ). * And Jesus saith (5719 ) unto him , The foxes have (5719 ) holes , and the birds of the air have nests ; but the Son of man hath (5719 ) not where to lay (5725 ) his head . * And another of his disciples said (5627 ) unto him , Lord , suffer (5657 ) me first to go (5629 ) and bury (5658 ) my father . * But Jesus said (5627 ) unto him , Follow (5720 ) me ; and let (5628 ) the dead bury (5658 ) their dead . * And when he was entered (5631 ) into a ship , his disciples followed (5656 ) him . * And , behold (5628 ), there arose (5633 ) a great tempest in the sea , insomuch that the ship was covered (5745 ) with the waves : but he was asleep (5707 ). * And his disciples came (5631 ) to him , and awoke (5656 ) him , saying (5723 ), Lord , save (5657 ) us : we perish (5731 ). * And he saith (5719 ) unto them , Why are ye (5748 ) fearful , O ye of little faith ? Then he arose (5685 ), and rebuked (5656 ) the winds and the sea ; and there was (5633 ) a great calm . * But the men marvelled (5656 ), saying (5723 ), What manner of man is (5748 ) this , that even the winds and the sea obey (5719 ) him ! * And when he was come (5631 ) to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes , there met (5656 ) him two possessed with devils (5740 ), coming (5740 ) out of the tombs , exceeding fierce , so that no man might (5721 ) pass (5629 ) by that way . * And , behold (5628 ), they cried out (5656 ), saying (5723 ), What have we to do with thee , Jesus , thou Son of God ? art thou come (5627 ) hither to torment (5658 ) us before the time ? * And there was (5713 ) a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding (5746 ). * So the devils besought (5707 ) him , saying (5723 ), If thou cast us out (5719 ), suffer (5657 ) us to go away (5629 ) into the herd of swine . * And he said (5627 ) unto them , Go (5720 ). And when they were come out (5631 ), they went (5627 ) into the herd of swine : and , behold (5628 ), the whole herd of swine ran violently (5656 ) down a steep place into the sea , and perished (5627 ) in the waters . * And they that kept (5723 ) them fled (5627 ), and went their ways (5631 ) into the city , and told (5656 ) every thing , and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils (5740 ). * And , behold (5628 ), the whole city came out (5627 ) to meet Jesus : and when they saw (5631 ) him , they besought (5656 ) him that he would depart (5632 ) out of their coasts . * And he entered (5631 ) into a ship , and passed over (5656 ), and came (5627 ) into his own city . * And , behold (5628 ), they brought (5707 ) to him a man sick of the palsy , lying (5772 ) on a bed : and Jesus seeing (5631 ) their faith said (5627 ) unto the sick of the palsy ; Son , be of good cheer (5720 ); thy sins be forgiven (5769 ) thee . * And , behold (5628 ), certain of the scribes said (5627 ) within themselves , This man blasphemeth (5719 ). * And Jesus knowing (5631 ) their thoughts said (5627 ), Wherefore think (5736 ) ye evil in your hearts ? * For whether is (5748 ) easier , to say (5629 ), Thy sins be forgiven (5769 ) thee ; or to say (5629 ), Arise (5669 ), and walk (5720 )? * But that ye may know (5762 ) that the Son of man hath (5719 ) power on earth to forgive (5721 ) sins , (then saith he (5719 ) to the sick of the palsy ,) Arise (5685 ), take up (5657 ) thy bed , and go (5720 ) unto thine house . * And he arose (5685 ), and departed (5627 ) to his house . * But when the multitudes saw (5631 ) it , they marvelled (5656 ), and glorified (5656 ) God , which had given (5631 ) such power unto men . * And as Jesus passed forth (5723 ) from thence , he saw (5627 ) a man , named (5746 ) Matthew , sitting (5740 ) at the receipt of custom : and he saith (5719 ) unto him , Follow (5720 ) me . And he arose (5631 ), and followed (5656 ) him . * And it came to pass (5633 ), as Jesus sat at meat (5740 ) in the house , behold (5628 ), many publicans and sinners came (5631 ) and sat down (5711 ) with him and his disciples . * And when the Pharisees saw (5631 ) it , they said (5627 ) unto his disciples , Why eateth (5719 ) your Master with publicans and sinners ? * But when Jesus heard (5660 ) that , he said (5627 ) unto them , They that be (5719 ) whole (5723 ) need not a physician , but they that are (5723 ) sick . * But go ye (5679 ) and learn (5628 ) what that meaneth (5748 ), I will (5719 ) have mercy , and not sacrifice : for I am not come (5627 ) to call (5658 ) the righteous , but sinners to repentance . * Then came (5736 ) to him the disciples of John , saying (5723 ), Why do we and the Pharisees fast (5719 ) oft , but thy disciples fast (5719 ) not ? * And Jesus said (5627 ) unto them , Can (5736 ) the children of the bridechamber mourn (5721 ), as long as the bridegroom is (5748 ) with them ? but the days will come (5695 ), when the bridegroom shall be taken (5686 ) from them , and then shall they fast (5692 ). * No man putteth (5719 ) a piece of new cloth unto an old garment , for that which is put in to fill it up taketh (5719 ) from the garment , and the rent is made (5736 ) worse . * Neither do men put (5719 ) new wine into old bottles : else the bottles break (5743 ), and the wine runneth out (5743 ), and the bottles perish (5698 ): but they put (5719 ) new wine into new bottles , and both are preserved (5743 ). * While he spake (5723 ) these things unto them , behold (5628 ), there came (5631 ) a certain ruler , and worshipped (5707 ) him , saying (5723 ), My daughter is even now dead (5656 ): but come (5631 ) and lay (5628 ) thy hand upon her , and she shall live (5695 ). * And Jesus arose (5685 ), and followed (5656 ) him , and so did his disciples . * And , behold (5628 ), a woman , which was diseased with an issue of blood (5723 ) twelve years , came (5631 ) behind him , and touched (5662 ) the hem of his garment : * For she said (5707 ) within herself , If I may but touch (5672 ) his garment , I shall be whole (5701 ). * But Jesus turned him about (5651 ), and when he saw (5631 ) her , he said (5627 ), Daughter , be of good comfort (5720 ); thy faith hath made thee whole (5758 ). And the woman was made whole (5681 ) from that hour . * And when Jesus came (5631 ) into the rulers house , and saw (5631 ) the minstrels and the people making a noise (5746 ), * He said (5719 ) unto them , Give place (5720 ): for the maid is not dead (5627 ), but sleepeth (5719 ). And they laughed him to scorn (5707 ). * But when the people were put forth (5681 ), he went in (5631 ), and took (5656 ) her by the hand , and the maid arose (5681 ). * And the fame hereof went abroad (5627 ) into all that land . * And when Jesus departed (5723 ) thence , two blind men followed (5656 ) him , crying (5723 ), and saying (5723 ), Thou Son of David , have mercy (5657 ) on us . * And when he was come (5631 ) into the house , the blind men came (5656 ) to him : and Jesus saith (5719 ) unto them , Believe ye (5720 ) that I am able (5736 ) to do (5658 ) this ? They said (5719 ) unto him , Yea , Lord . * Then touched he (5662 ) their eyes , saying (5723 ), According to your faith be it (5676 ) unto you . * And their eyes were opened (5681 ); and Jesus straitly charged (5662 ) them , saying (5723 ), See (5720 ) that no man know (5720 ) it . * But they , when they were departed (5631 ), spread abroad his fame (5656 ) in all that country . * As they went out (5740 ), behold (5628 ), they brought (5656 ) to him a dumb man possessed with a devil (5740 ). * And when the devil was cast out (5685 ), the dumb spake (5656 ): and the multitudes marvelled (5656 ), saying (5723 ), It was never so seen (5648 ) in Israel . * But the Pharisees said (5707 ), He casteth out (5719 ) devils through the prince of the devils . * And Jesus went about (5707 ) all the cities and villages , teaching (5723 ) in their synagogues , and preaching (5723 ) the gospel of the kingdom , and healing (5723 ) every sickness and every disease among the people . * But when he saw (5631 ) the multitudes , he was moved with compassion (5675 ) on them , because they fainted (5713 ) (5772 ), and were scattered abroad (5772 ), as sheep having (5723 ) no shepherd . * Then saith (5719 ) he unto his disciples , The harvest truly is plenteous , but the labourers are few ; * Pray ye (5676 ) therefore the Lord of the harvest , that he will send forth (5632 ) labourers into his harvest . * And when he had called (5666 ) unto him his twelve disciples , he gave (5656 ) them power against unclean spirits , to cast them out (5721 ), and to heal (5721 ) all manner of sickness and all manner of disease .
