* Then came (5736 ) to him the disciples of John , saying (5723 ), Why do we and the Pharisees fast (5719 ) oft , but thy disciples fast (5719 ) not ? * And Jesus said (5627 ) unto them , Can (5736 ) the children of the bridechamber mourn (5721 ), as long as the bridegroom is (5748 ) with them ? but the days will come (5695 ), when the bridegroom shall be taken (5686 ) from them , and then shall they fast (5692 ). * No man putteth (5719 ) a piece of new cloth unto an old garment , for that which is put in to fill it up taketh (5719 ) from the garment , and the rent is made (5736 ) worse . * Neither do men put (5719 ) new wine into old bottles : else the bottles break (5743 ), and the wine runneth out (5743 ), and the bottles perish (5698 ): but they put (5719 ) new wine into new bottles , and both are preserved (5743 ).
