* And as Jesus passed forth (5723 ) from thence , he saw (5627 ) a man , named (5746 ) Matthew , sitting (5740 ) at the receipt of custom : and he saith (5719 ) unto him , Follow (5720 ) me . And he arose (5631 ), and followed (5656 ) him . * And it came to pass (5633 ), as Jesus sat at meat (5740 ) in the house , behold (5628 ), many publicans and sinners came (5631 ) and sat down (5711 ) with him and his disciples . * And when the Pharisees saw (5631 ) it , they said (5627 ) unto his disciples , Why eateth (5719 ) your Master with publicans and sinners ? * But when Jesus heard (5660 ) that , he said (5627 ) unto them , They that be (5719 ) whole (5723 ) need not a physician , but they that are (5723 ) sick . * But go ye (5679 ) and learn (5628 ) what that meaneth (5748 ), I will (5719 ) have mercy , and not sacrifice : for I am not come (5627 ) to call (5658 ) the righteous , but sinners to repentance .
