* Wherefore God also hath highly exalted (5656 ) him , and given (5662 ) him a name which is above every name : * That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow (5661 ), of things in heaven , and things in earth , and things under the earth ; * And that every tongue should confess (5672 ) that Jesus Christ is Lord , to the glory of God the Father . * Wherefore , my beloved , as ye have always obeyed (5656 ), not as in my presence only , but now much more in my absence , work out (5737 ) your own salvation with fear and trembling . * For it is (5748 ) God which worketh 5723 ) in you both to will (5721 ) and to do (5721 ) of his good pleasure . * Do (5720 ) all things without murmurings and disputings : * That ye may be (5638 ) blameless and harmless , the sons of God , without rebuke , in the midst of a crooked and perverse (5772 ) nation , among whom ye shine (5743 ) as lights in the world ; * Holding forth (5723 ) the word of life ; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ , that I have not run (5627 ) in vain , neither laboured (5656 ) in vain . * Yea , and if I be offered (5743 ) upon the sacrifice and service of your faith , I joy (5719 ), and rejoice with (5719 ) you all . * For the same cause also do ye joy (5720 ), and rejoice with (5720 ) me . * But I trust (5719 ) in the Lord Jesus to send (5658 ) Timotheus shortly unto you , that I also may be of good comfort (5725 ), when I know (5631 ) your state . * For I have (5719 ) no man likeminded , who will naturally care (5692 ) for your state . * For all seek (5719 ) their own , not the things which are Jesus Christs .
