* Why do the (note :)The conspiracy of the Gentiles , the murmuring of the Jews and power of kings cannot prevail against Christ .(:note ) heathen rage , and the people imagine a vain thing ? * The Kings of the earth band themselues , and the princes are assembled together against the Lord , and against his Christ . * * But he that dwelleth in the heauen , shall laugh : the Lord shall haue them in derision . * * Euen I haue set my King vpon Zion mine holy mountaine . * I will declare the (note :)To show that my calling to the kingdom is from God .(:note ) decree : the LORD hath said unto me , Thou [art ] my Son ; this That is to say , concerning man 's knowledge , because it was the first time that David appeared to be elected by God . So it is applied to Christ in his first coming and manifestation to the world . day have I begotten thee . * Ask of me , and I shall give [thee ] the heathen [for ] thine inheritance , and the (note :)Not only the Jews but the Gentiles also .(:note ) uttermost parts of the earth [for ] thy possession . * Thou shalt krush them with a scepter of yron , and breake them in pieces like a potters vessell . * * Serue the Lorde in feare , and reioyce in trembling . *
