* Jehovah is my light and my salvation ; whom shall I fear ? Jehovah is the strength of my life ; of whom shall I be afraid ? * When the wicked , my enemies and my foes , came upon me to eat my flesh , they stumbled and fell . * Though an army should encamp against me , my heart shall not fear ; though war should rise against me , in this I have confidence . * One thing I have desired from Jehovah , that I will seek after : That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life , to behold the beauty of Jehovah , and to inquire in His temple . * For in the time of evil He shall hide me in His den , in the secrecy of His tent He shall hide me ; He shall lift me up upon a rock . * And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me ; and I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tent . I will sing ; yea , I will make music unto Jehovah . * Hear , O Jehovah , when I cry out with my voice , and have mercy upon me and answer me . * When You say , Seek My face , my heart has said unto You , Your face , O Jehovah , I will seek . * Hide not Your face from me ; turn not Your servant away in anger . You have been my help ; do not leave me , nor forsake me , O God of my salvation . * When my father and my mother forsake me , then Jehovah will gather me up . * Teach me Your way , O Jehovah , and lead me in a plain path , because of my enemies . * Do not deliver me over to the will of my enemies ; for false witnesses have risen up against me , and such as breathe out violence . * I would have fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living . * Wait upon Jehovah ; be of good courage , and He shall strengthen your heart ; wait , I say , upon Jehovah !
