Psalms:9:1 @
To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben Muwth #,
A Psalm of David .
I will praise thee ,
O LORD ,
with my whole heart ;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works .
*
I will be glad and rejoice in thee :
I will sing praise to thy name ,
O thou most High .
*
When mine enemies are turned back ,
they shall fall and perish at thy presence .
*
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause ;
thou satest in the throne judging right .
*
Thou hast rebuked the heathen ,
thou hast destroyed the wicked ,
thou hast put out their name for ever and ever .
*
O thou enemy ,
destructions are come to a perpetual end :
and thou hast destroyed cities #;
their memorial is perished with them .
*
But the LORD shall endure for ever :
he hath prepared his throne for judgment .
*
And he shall judge the world in righteousness ,
he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness .
*
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed ,
a refuge in times of trouble .
*
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee :
for thou ,
LORD ,
hast not forsaken them that seek thee .
*
Sing praises to the LORD ,
which dwelleth in Zion :
declare among the people his doings .
*
When he maketh inquisition for blood ,
he remembereth them :
he forgetteth not the cry of the humble #.
*
Have mercy upon me ,
O LORD ;
consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me ,
thou that liftest me up from the gates of death :
*
That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion :
I will rejoice in thy salvation y @

The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made :
in the net which they hid is their own foot taken .
*
The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth :
the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands .

*
The wicked shall be turned into hell sh @#

and all the nations that forget God .
*
For the needy shall not alway be forgotten :
the expectation of the poor #
shall not perish for ever .
*
Arise ,
O LORD ;
let not man prevail :
let the heathen be judged in thy sight .
*
Put them in fear ,
O LORD :
that the nations may know themselves to be but men .
Selah .
*
Why standest thou afar off ,
O LORD ?
why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble ?
*
The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor :
let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined .
*
For the wicked boasteth of his hearts desire ta #
avah #,
and blesseth the covetous ,
whom the LORD abhorreth .
*
The wicked ,
through the pride of his countenance ,
will not seek after God :
God is not in all his thoughts .
*
His ways are always grievous ;
thy judgments are far above out of his sight :
as for all his enemies ,
he puffeth at them .
*
He hath said in his heart ,
I shall not be moved :
for I shall never dowr #
be in adversity .
*
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud :
under his tongue is mischief and vanity .
*
He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages :
in the secret places doth he murder the innocent :
his eyes are privily set against the poor .
*
He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den :
he lieth in wait to catch the poor :
he doth catch the poor ,
when he draweth him into his net .
*
He croucheth ,
and humbleth himself ,
that the poor chel @
may fall by his strong ones .
*
He hath said in his heart ,
God hath forgotten :
he hideth his face ;
he will never see it .
*
Arise ,
O LORD ;
O God ,
lift up thine hand :
forget not the humble #.
*
Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God ?
he hath said in his heart ,
Thou wilt not require it .
*
Thou hast seen it ;
for thou beholdest mischief and spite ka #
ac #,
to requite it with thy hand :
the poor committeth himself unto thee ;
thou art the helper of the fatherless .
*
Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man :
seek out his wickedness till thou find none .
*
The LORD is King for ever and ever :
the heathen are perished out of his land .
*
LORD ,
thou hast heard the desire of the humble :
thou wilt prepare their heart ,
thou wilt cause thine ear to hear :
*
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed ,
that the man of the earth may no more oppress .

Psalms:11:1 @
To the chief Musician ,
A Psalm of David .
In the LORD put I my trust :
how say ye to my soul ,
Flee as a bird to your mountain ?
*
For ,
lo ,
the wicked bend their bow ,
they make ready their arrow upon the string ,
that they may privily #
shoot at the upright in heart .
*
If the foundations be destroyed ,
what can the righteous do ?
*
The LORD is in his holy temple ,
the LORDS throne is in heaven :

The LORD trieth the righteous :
but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth .
*
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares ,
fire and brimstone ,
and an horrible tempest :
this shall be the portion of their cup .
*
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness ;
his countenance doth behold the upright .

Psalms:12:1 @
To the chief Musician upon Sheminith ,
A Psalm of David .
Help ,
LORD ;
for the godly man ceaseth ;
for the faithful fail from among the children of men .
*
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour :
with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak .
*
The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips ,
and the tongue that speaketh proud things :
*
Who have said ,
With our tongue will we prevail ;
our lips are our own :
who is lord over us ?
*
For the oppression of the poor ,
for the sighing of the needy ,
now will I arise ,
saith the LORD ;
I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him .
*
The words of the LORD are pure words :
as silver tried in a furnace of earth ,
purified seven times shib #

Thou shalt keep them ,

thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever .

Psalms:13:1 @
To the chief Musician ,
A Psalm of David .
How long wilt thou forget me ,
O LORD ?
for ever ?
how long wilt thou hide thy face from me ?
*
How long shall I take counsel in my soul ,
having sorrow in my heart daily ?
how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me ?
*
Consider and hear me ,
O LORD my God :
lighten mine eyes ,
lest I sleep the sleep of death ;
*
Lest mine enemy say ,
I have prevailed against him ;
and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved .

But I have trusted in thy mercy ;
my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation y @

Psalms:14:1 @
To the chief Musician ,
A Psalm of David .
The fool hath said in his heart ,
There is no God .
They are corrupt ,
they have done abominable works ,
there is none that doeth good .
*
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men ,
to see if there were any that did understand ,
and seek God .
*
They are all gone aside ,
they are all together become filthy :
there is none that doeth good ,
no ,
not one .
*
Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge ?
who eat up my people as they eat bread ,
and call not upon the LORD .
*
There were they in great fear :
for God is in the generation of the righteous .
*
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor ,
because the LORD is his refuge .
*
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion !
when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people ,
Jacob shall rejoice ,
and Israel shall be glad .

Psalms:15:1 @
A Psalm of David .
LORD ,
who shall abide in thy tabernacle ?
who shall dwell in thy holy hill ?
*
He that walketh uprightly ,
and worketh righteousness ,
and speaketh the truth in his heart .
*
He that backbiteth not with his tongue ,
nor doeth evil to his neighbour ,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour .
*
In whose eyes a vile person is contemned ;
but he honoureth them that fear the LORD .
He that sweareth to his own hurt ,
and changeth not .
*
He that putteth not out his money to usury ,
nor taketh reward against the innocent .
He that doeth these things shall never be moved .

Psalms:16:1 @
Michtam of David .
Preserve me ,
O God :
for in thee do I put my trust .
*
O my soul ,
thou hast said unto the LORD ,
Thou art my Lord :
my goodness extendeth not to thee ;
*
But to the saints that are in the earth ,
and to the excellent ,
in whom is all my delight .
*
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god :
their drink offerings of blood will I not offer ,
nor take up their names into my lips .
*
The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup :
thou maintainest my lot .
*
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places ;
yea ,
I have a goodly heritage .
*
I will bless the LORD ,
who hath given me counsel :
my reins also instruct me in the night seasons .
*
I have set the LORD always before me :
because he is at my right hand ,
I shall not be moved .
*
Therefore my heart is glad ,
and my glory rejoiceth :
my flesh also shall rest in hope .
*
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell sh @#

neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption .

Thou wilt shew me the path of life :
in thy presence is fulness of joy ;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore .

Psalms:17:1 @
A Prayer of David .
Hear the right ,
O LORD ,
attend unto my cry ,
give ear unto my prayer ,
that goeth not out of feigned lips .
*
Let my sentence come forth from thy presence ;
let thine eyes behold the things that are equal .
*
Thou hast proved mine heart ;
thou hast visited me in the night ;
thou hast tried me ,
and shalt find nothing ;
I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress .
*
Concerning the works of men ,
by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer .
*
Hold up my goings in thy paths ma #
gal #,
that my footsteps slip not .
*
I have called upon thee ,
for thou wilt hear me ,
O God :
incline thine ear unto me ,
and hear my speech .
*
Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness ,
O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them .
*
Keep me as the apple of the eye bath #,
hide me under the shadow of thy wings ,
*
From the wicked that oppress me ,
from my deadly enemies ,
who compass me about .
*
They are inclosed in their own fat :
with their mouth they speak proudly ge #

*
They have now compassed us in our steps :
they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth ;
*
Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey ,
and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places .
*
Arise ,
O LORD ,
disappoint him ,
cast him down :
deliver my soul from the wicked ,
which is thy sword :
*
From men which are thy hand ,
O LORD ,
from men of the world ,
which have their portion in this life ,
and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure :
they are full of children ,
and leave the rest of their substance to their babes .
*
As for me ,
I will behold thy face in righteousness :
I shall be satisfied ,
when I awake ,
with thy likeness .
