* And the sixth angel sounded ; and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which was before God , * saying to the sixth angel , who had the trumpet , Loose the four angels who are bound by the great river Euphrates . * And the four angels were loosed , who were prepared for an hour , and a day , and a month , and a year , to kill a third part of men . * And the number of the horsemen was two myriads of myriads : I heard the number of them . * And I saw the horses , and those who sat upon them , thus in their appearance ; having breastplates of fire , and hyacinth , and brimstone : and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions , and out of their mouths went fire , and smoke , and brimstone . * With these three-by the fire , by the smoke , and by the brimstone-that went out of their mouths , they slew a third part of men . * And their powers are in their mouths , and in their tails ; and their tails are like serpents , having heads , and with them they injure . * Yet the remainder of men , who died not by these plagues , did not reform from the works of their hands , that they might not worship demons , and idols of gold , and silver , and brass , and stone , and wood ; which can neither see , nor hear , nor walk . * And they reformed not from their murders , and their magical incantations ; nor from their fornication , nor their thefts .
