* I say (5719 ) the truth in Christ , I lie (5736 ) not , my conscience also bearing me witness (5723 ) in the Holy Ghost , * That I have (5748 ) great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart . * For I could wish (5711 ) that myself were (5750 ) accursed from Christ for my brethren , my kinsmen according to the flesh : * Who are (5748 ) Israelites ; to whom pertaineth the adoption , and the glory , and the covenants , and the giving of the law , and the service of God , and the promises ; * Whose are the fathers , and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came , who (5752 ) is over all , God blessed for ever . Amen . * Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect (5758 ). For they are not all Israel , which are of Israel : * Neither , because they are (5748 ) the seed of Abraham , are they all children : but , In Isaac shall thy seed be called (5701 ). * That is (5748 ), They which are the children of the flesh , these are not the children of God : but the children of the promise are counted (5736 ) for the seed . * For this is the word of promise , At this time will I come (5695 ), and Sara shall have (5704 ) a son . * And not only this ; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one (5723 ), even by our father Isaac ; * (For the children being not yet born (5685 ), neither having done (5660 ) any good or evil , that the purpose of God according to election might stand (5725 ), not of works , but of him that calleth (5723 );)
