bwe@Info @ DESCRIPTION: The Bible in Worldwide English (BWE)\par This New Testament was originally prepared by Annie Cressman, who died in 1993. She was a Canadian Bible teacher in Liberia in West Africa. Whilst teaching students in a Bible School where the language used was English, she found that she was spending more time explaining the meaning of the English than she was teaching the Bible itself. So she decided to write this simple version in easy English so that her students could easily understand.\par\par In 1959 the Full Gospel Publishing House in Toronto, Canada, printed a trial edition of the Gospel of Mark. A further edition was published in 1962 by the American Bible Society. The whole New Testament was first published by SOON Publications in India in 1969 in hardback form. This was assisted by Operation Mobilisation (OM) and was reprinted in 1971.\par\par The vision to reprint a new edition of the whole New Testament has now been carried out by SOON in conjunction with EPH and OM. Where a change to more modern words has been made, this has been kept in line with the the Authorised Version.

bwe@John:13:1 @ Before the Passover Feast had started, Jesus saw that the time had come for him to leave this world. The time had come for him to go back to his Father. He loved his own people who were in the world. And he loved them the same way right to the end.

bwe@Acts:5:38 @ So now, I say, do nothing to these men. Leave them alone. If this is the teaching or work of men, it will come to an end. But if it is of God, you cannot stop these men. You might even be fighting against God!

bwe@Acts:25:21 @ But Paul asked to wait and let Caesar judge his case. So I had him put in prison to be kept there until I can send him to Caesar.

bwe@Acts:25:25 @ But I found out that he had not done anything wrong for which he should die. He himself asked to go to Caesar, so I decided to send him.

bwe@Acts:26:18 @ I send you to them to open their eyes. Then they will turn from darkness to light. You are to take them out of Satans power and turn them to God, to be forgiven of their wrong ways. Then they will be among those who are made clean and pure by believing in me."

bwe@1Corinthians:1:17 @ Christ did not send me to baptize people, but he sent me to tell the good news. I must not tell it with the clever words of this world. That would not show what the death of Christ on a cross truly means.

bwe@1Corinthians:4:9 @ It seems to me that God has put us apostles at the end of the line. We are like men who are to be put to death. The whole world, angels and men, look at us.

bwe@1Corinthians:5:8 @ I wrote a letter to you. I told you not to be friends with people who use sex the wrong way <FI>with a person they are not married to<Fi>.

bwe@1Corinthians:5:10 @ But I wrote to you not to be friends with anyone who says he is a Christian and uses wrong sex, or always wants more, or has idols, or curses, or drinks too much strong drink, or steals. I told you not even to sit down to eat with such a person.

bwe@1Corinthians:5:12 @ God judges those who are outside. The holy writings say, Send the bad person away from among you.

bwe@1Corinthians:6:13 @ Food is for the body, and the body is for food. But God will bring both to an end. The body is not made to be used for wrong sex behaviour, but for the Lord. And the Lord is for the body.

bwe@1Corinthians:7:11 @ But if she does leave him, she must not marry again, or she must come back to her husband again. And the husband may not send away his wife.

bwe@1Corinthians:7:12 @ Here is what I say to other people. (This is my word, not the Lords.) Perhaps a Christian brother has a wife who is not a Christian. If she wants to stay with him, then he should not send her away.

bwe@1Corinthians:13:8 @ Love never ends. The gift of speaking words from God will end. The gift of speaking in different tongues or languages will stop. The gift of knowing many things will end.

bwe@1Corinthians:13:10 @ But when everything becomes perfect, that part will come to an end.

bwe@1Corinthians:15:24 @ After that the end will come. Christ will hand over the ruling power to God the Father. Christ will stop all other rulers, and everyone who has any rights and power.

bwe@1Corinthians:15:28 @ One day the Son will be over all things. And God will be over the Son. So in the end God will be over all things.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:3 @ When I get there, I will send to Jerusalem the men you all choose. They will carry your gift with your letters of approval.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:7 @ I do not want to stop off to see you just while I am going through. I want to spend some time with you, if it is the Lords will.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:11 @ So no one should despise him. But send him off with joy when he comes back to me. I will look for him to come with the other brothers.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:19 @ The people in the churches of Asia send greetings to you. Aquila and Priscilla and the Christians who meet in their house send you many Christian greetings.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:20 @ All the Christian brothers send you greetings. Greet each other with a holy kiss.

bwe@1Corinthians:16:24 @ I send my Christian love to you all.

bwe@2Corinthians:1:14 @ I wanted to visit you and then go to Macedonia. I wanted to visit you again when I was on my way back from Macedonia. Then you would send me on my way to Judea.

bwe@2Corinthians:8:17 @ We are sending another brother with him. This brother has a good name in all the churches because he tells the good news.

bwe@2Corinthians:8:20 @ And we are also sending another brother with them. We have found him to be glad to help us in many matters, many times. And now he is much more glad to help because he trusts you very much.

bwe@2Corinthians:8:21 @ I want to say this. Titus is my close friend and he works with me. And about our other brothers, they have been sent by the churches. They bring praise to Christ.

bwe@2Corinthians:9:3 @ But I am sending these brothers so that what we have said about you will be true in this way. I want you to be really ready with the gift, just as I said you would be.

bwe@2Corinthians:9:5 @ So I thought it would be good to send these brothers to you first. They will get this gift ready which you promised. Then it will be ready like a gift, and not as if you were forced to give it.

bwe@2Corinthians:11:15 @ So it is not strange if his workers also try to make themselves look like Gods workers who do right. They will come to an end like the work they do! think that I am foolish. But if you do, then please listen to me as if I were foolish. I also want to do a little talking about myself.

bwe@2Corinthians:11:19 @ You listen to a man even if he makes slaves of you, even if he spends all your money, even if he catches you in a trap, even if he is proud of himself, even if he slaps you in the face.

bwe@2Corinthians:12:14 @ For my part, I am glad to spend what I have, and to spend myself for the sake of your souls. But it seems to me that the more I love you the less you love me!

bwe@2Corinthians:12:16 @ Did I send anyone to you to get something for myself? No!
