emtv@Info @ DESCRIPTION: Welcome to the third edition of The English Majority Text Version (EMTV) of the Holy Bible. This latest edition has Greek explanatory notes throughout the Bible, to aid the reader in understanding the meanings in some select places of the original Koine Greek. Also, the third edition finds itself closer to the Robinson/Pierpoint printed edition of the Byzantine majority text, rather than the Hodges/Farstad text, which the EMTV was translated from. You will notice these differences in John strkjv@7:53-8:11, as well as the entire book of Revelation. The English Majority Text Version draws from the work of both Dr.’s Hodges and Farstad, and their text, “The Greek New Testament According to the Majority Text,” as well as from Dr. Wilbur Pickering, ThM. PhD., and the EMTV has incorporated his hard work in the field of producing evidence of just what does constitute a majority reading, and, as a result of his work, and the work of others, John strkjv@7:53-8:11, and the book of Revelation reflect these variant readings. This is one of the great things about having a Bible that is translated from the majority of the trustworthy Byzantine manuscripts that are in existence—the much greater probability of accuracy. On the other side of the fence, most modern Bibles are translated from a few scant manuscripts (literally), and more often than not they do not even agree with each other. Not so with a Bible that is translated out of the majority! The experts in linguistics who have put these readings together, and diligently compared the manuscripts, had hundreds and hundreds of manuscripts to compare. It is my prayer that this work will bring honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to our God and Father; because all of this, all that we do, we do to know Him better, and to better understand His word, which He has given to mankind. “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar. (Prove strkjv@30:5,6). Peace of Christ to you all. In His service, Paul W Esposito Stauros Ministries

emtv@Matthew:1:6 @ and Jesse fathered David the king. David the king fathered Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah.

emtv@Matthew:1:18 @ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

emtv@Matthew:1:24 @ Then Joseph, having been aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had ordered him and took to [him] his wife,

emtv@Matthew:2:9 @ When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.

emtv@Matthew:2:13 @ Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take along the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is about to seek the young Child to destroy Him."

emtv@Matthew:2:16 @ Then Herod, seeing that he had been deceived by the wise men, was greatly enraged; and he sent and executed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.

emtv@Matthew:3:4 @ And John himself had his clothing [made] from camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.

emtv@Matthew:4:12 @ Now when Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He departed into Galilee.

emtv@Matthew:4:16 @ the people sitting in darkness have seen a great light, and to those who sat in the land and the shadow of death, light sprang up on them."

emtv@Matthew:5:1 @ And seeing the crowds, He went up into the mountain, and after He had sat down, His disciples approached Him.

emtv@Matthew:7:25 @ and the rain came down, and the floods came, and the winds blew and fell against that house; and it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock.

emtv@Matthew:8:1 @ When He had come down from the mountain, great crowds followed Him.

emtv@Matthew:8:5 @ Now when He had entered Capernaum, a centurion approached Him, begging Him,

emtv@Matthew:8:14 @ Now when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother having been laid up, and burning with fever.

emtv@Matthew:8:16 @ When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and He healed all that were ill,

emtv@Matthew:8:33 @ Then those who tended them fled; and going off into the city, they reported everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed [men].

emtv@Matthew:9:8 @ Now when the crowds saw, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

emtv@Matthew:9:25 @ But when the crowd had been put out, He went in and grasped her hand, and the little girl arose.

emtv@Matthew:10:3 @ Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was surnamed Thaddaeus;

emtv@Matthew:11:2 @ And when John had heard in prison about the works of the Messiah, having sent two of his disciples,

emtv@Matthew:11:20 @ Then He began to reproach the cities in which His very many miracles had been done, because they did not repent:

emtv@Matthew:11:21 @ "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

emtv@Matthew:11:23 @ And you, Capernaum, the [one] having been exalted to heaven, you will be brought down to Hades; because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

emtv@Matthew:12:7 @ But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.

emtv@Matthew:12:10 @ And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"-that they might accuse Him.

emtv@Matthew:13:5 @ But others fell on the stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth.

emtv@Matthew:13:6 @ But when the sun rose, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away.

emtv@Matthew:13:26 @ But when the stalk had sprouted and produced fruit, then the tares also appeared.

emtv@Matthew:13:44 @ "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure having been hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it, he went and sold everything he had, and bought that field."

emtv@Matthew:13:46 @ who, when he found one very precious pearl, went and sold everything he had and bought it."

emtv@Matthew:13:53 @ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, He went away from there.

emtv@Matthew:14:3 @ For Herod had laid hold of John and bound him, and put him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife.

emtv@Matthew:14:20 @ So they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up what they had left of the fragments, twelve baskets full.

emtv@Matthew:14:21 @ Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, apart from women and children.

emtv@Matthew:14:23 @ And having dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain privately to pray. And when evening had come, He was there alone.

emtv@Matthew:14:32 @ And when they had gotten into the boat, the wind ceased.

emtv@Matthew:15:37 @ So they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up what they had left of the fragments, seven hampers full.

emtv@Matthew:16:5 @ Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they forgot to take bread.

emtv@Matthew:17:5 @ While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold, a voice [came] out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"

emtv@Matthew:17:24 @ When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the temple tax came to Peter and said, "Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?"

emtv@Matthew:18:25 @ But since he had nothing with which to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and everything that he had, and to be repaid.

emtv@Matthew:18:31 @ So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and they came and narrated to their master all that had taken place.

emtv@Matthew:18:33 @ Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, as I also had compassion on you?'

emtv@Matthew:19:1 @ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, that He with from Galilee and went to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

emtv@Matthew:19:22 @ But when the young man heard the word, he went away grieved, for he had many possessions.

emtv@Matthew:20:11 @ And when they had received it, they began grumbling against the landowner,

emtv@Matthew:21:28 @ "But what do you think? A man had two children. And having come to the first, he said, 'Child, go, work today in my vineyard.'

emtv@Matthew:22:22 @ When they had heard these words, they marveled, and leaving Him, they went away.

emtv@Matthew:22:28 @ Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For [they] all had her."

emtv@Matthew:22:34 @ But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.

emtv@Matthew:23:30 @ and say, 'If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.'

emtv@Matthew:24:43 @ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have kept watch, and he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

emtv@Matthew:25:20 @ And the [one] who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, 'Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I gained five more talents besides them.'

emtv@Matthew:26:1 @ Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, that He said to His disciples,

emtv@Matthew:26:19 @ So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.

emtv@Matthew:26:24 @ Indeed, the Son of Man goes just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

emtv@Matthew:26:48 @ Now the [one] betraying Him had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I shall kiss, He is [the One]; seize Him."

emtv@Matthew:26:71 @ And when he had gone out to the gateway, another [girl] saw him and said to them there, "This [man] was with Jesus the Nazarene."

emtv@Matthew:27:16 @ And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas.

emtv@Matthew:27:17 @ Therefore when they had assembled, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you wish [that] I should release to you, Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"

emtv@Matthew:27:18 @ For he knew that they had handed Him over because of envy.

emtv@Matthew:27:29 @ When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"

emtv@Matthew:27:31 @ And when they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the robe, and dressed Him in His own clothes, and led Him away in order to crucify [Him].

emtv@Matthew:27:52 @ and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had passed away were raised;

emtv@Matthew:27:54 @ So when the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were greatly afraid, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

emtv@Matthew:27:57 @ Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.

emtv@Matthew:27:60 @ and placed it in his new tomb which he had cut in the rock; and having rolled a large stone [against] the door of the tomb, he departed.

emtv@Matthew:28:11 @ Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.

emtv@Matthew:28:12 @ When they had assembled with the elders and taking counsel, they gave sufficient silver [coins] to the soldiers,

emtv@Matthew:28:16 @ Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.

emtv@Mark:1:22 @ And they were astonished at His doctrine, for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.

emtv@Mark:3:1 @ And He entered again into the synagogue. And a man was there who had a withered hand.

emtv@Mark:3:3 @ And He said to the [one] who had the withered hand, "Step forward."

emtv@Mark:3:10 @ For He had healed many, so that all who had afflictions were crowding upon Him, so that they might touch Him.

emtv@Mark:3:18 @ Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite;

emtv@Mark:3:34 @ And when He had looked around in a circle at those sitting around Him, He said, "Here are My mother and My brothers!

emtv@Mark:4:5 @ And some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.

emtv@Mark:4:6 @ But when the sun rose it was scorched, and because it had no root it was withered up.

emtv@Mark:4:32 @ but whenever it is sown, it comes up and becomes greater than all the garden vegetables, and produces great branches, so that the birds of heaven are able to nest under its shade."

emtv@Mark:4:35 @ On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us go across to the other side."

emtv@Mark:5:3 @ who had his dwelling among the tombs. And no one could bind him, not even with chains,

emtv@Mark:5:4 @ because he often had been bound with shackles and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the shackles had been broken, and no one was able to subdue him.

emtv@Mark:5:14 @ But those feeding the pigs fled, and they reported it in the city and in the country. And they came out to see what it was that had happened.

emtv@Mark:5:15 @ Then they came to Jesus, and observed him who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and having been clothed and being of sound mind, and they were afraid.

emtv@Mark:5:16 @ And those who saw it related to them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the pigs.

emtv@Mark:5:18 @ And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed implored Him that he might be with Him.

emtv@Mark:5:19 @ But Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to your own family, and report to them all the things that the Lord has done for you, and how He had compassion on you."

emtv@Mark:5:21 @ Now when Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd was gathered to Him; and He was beside the sea.

emtv@Mark:5:26 @ and who had suffered many things under many physicians, and who had spent everything at her disposal, and was no better, but rather having become worse,

emtv@Mark:5:29 @ And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she had been healed from her affliction.

emtv@Mark:5:30 @ And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, He turned in the crowd [and] said, "Who touched My clothes?"

emtv@Mark:5:32 @ And He was looking around to see her who had done this thing.

emtv@Mark:5:33 @ But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

emtv@Mark:6:2 @ And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many when they heard were astonished, saying, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, and such miracles are coming about by His hands?

emtv@Mark:6:17 @ For Herod himself had sent and laid hold of John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife; because he had married her.

emtv@Mark:6:24 @ And when she had gone out, she said to her mother, "What shall I ask?"And she said, "The head of John the Baptist!"

emtv@Mark:6:30 @ Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and they reported to Him all things, both everything they had done and everything they had taught.

emtv@Mark:6:34 @ And when He came out, Jesus saw a large crowd, and He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

emtv@Mark:6:44 @ Now those who had eaten the loaves were five thousand men.

emtv@Mark:6:52 @ For they had not understood concerning the loaves, because their heart was hardened.

emtv@Mark:7:17 @ When He had entered a house [away] from the crowd, His disciples were asking Him about the parable.

emtv@Mark:7:25 @ For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet.

emtv@Mark:7:33 @ And when he had taken him aside from the crowd privately, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spit, He touched his tongue.

emtv@Mark:8:1 @ In those days, when a great crowd had gathered, and not having anything to eat, Jesus, having summoned His disciples and said to them,

emtv@Mark:8:7 @ And they had a few small fish; and having blessed [them], He said to set them before [the people].

emtv@Mark:8:33 @ But when He had turned and saw His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

emtv@Mark:9:7 @ And a cloud appeared overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, [saying], "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"

emtv@Mark:9:9 @ And as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should relate to no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man should rise from the dead.

emtv@Mark:9:34 @ But they were silent, for on the road they had discussed with one another who [was] greater.

emtv@Mark:10:22 @ But having become gloomy at this saying, he went away grieving, for he had many possessions.

emtv@Mark:11:6 @ And they told them just as Jesus had commanded. And they gave them permission.

emtv@Mark:11:12 @ Now the next day, after they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.

emtv@Mark:11:32 @ "But should we say, 'From men' "-they feared the people, for all had counted John to have been a prophet indeed.

emtv@Mark:12:12 @ And they sought to lay hold of Him, but they feared the crowd, for they knew that He had spoken the parable against them. And leaving Him, they went away.

emtv@Mark:12:22 @ So the seven had her and left no offspring. Last of all the woman died also.

emtv@Mark:12:23 @ [Therefore], in the resurrection, when they shall arise, whose wife of them will she be? For all seven had her [as] wife."

emtv@Mark:12:28 @ Then one of the scribes came, after he heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?"

emtv@Mark:12:44 @ For they all put in out of their excess, but this woman, out of her destitution, put in everything she had, her whole livelihood."

emtv@Mark:13:20 @ And unless the Lord had[ ]cut short the days, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the elect, whom He chose, He cut short the days.

emtv@Mark:14:16 @ So His disciples went away, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.

emtv@Mark:14:44 @ Now His betrayer had given to them a sign, saying, "Whomever I shall kiss, He is [the One]; take Him and lead [Him] away safely."

emtv@Mark:14:51 @ Now a certain young man had followed Him, having a linen cloth thrown around his naked body. And the young men seized him,

emtv@Mark:14:72 @ And for the second [time] a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, "Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times."And when he thought about it, he began to weep.

emtv@Mark:15:7 @ And there was one called Barabbas, having been bound with his fellow rebels, who had committed murder in the rebellion.

emtv@Mark:15:10 @ For he knew that because of envy the chief priests had delivered Him up.

emtv@Mark:15:15 @ So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered up Jesus, after he had Him flogged, so that He might be crucified.

emtv@Mark:15:20 @ And when they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the purple, and dressed Him in His own clothing. And led Him out so that they might crucify Him.

emtv@Mark:15:33 @ Now when the sixth hour had come, darkness came upon the whole land until the ninth hour.

emtv@Mark:15:41 @ who also would follow Him and would minister to Him when He was in Galilee; and many other women who had come up together with Him to Jerusalem.

emtv@Mark:15:44 @ And Pilate wondered if He was already dead; and having summoned the centurion, he questioned him if He had been dead long.

emtv@Mark:15:46 @ And having bought linen cloth, and having taken Him down, he wrapped Him in the linen cloth and set Him down in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock, and rolled a stone upon the door of the tomb.

emtv@Mark:16:2 @ And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

emtv@Mark:16:4 @ And having looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away-for it was exceedingly large.

emtv@Mark:16:9 @ Now having arisen early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.

emtv@Mark:16:10 @ She went and reported to those who had been with Him, as they were grieving and weeping.

emtv@Mark:16:11 @ And those, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, [they ]disbelieved.

emtv@Mark:16:14 @ Afterwards He appeared to the eleven as they were reclining at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been raised.

emtv@Mark:16:19 @ So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

emtv@Luke:1:7 @ But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

emtv@Luke:1:22 @ But having come out, he was unable to speak to them; and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he was making signs to them and remained speechless.

emtv@Luke:1:35 @ And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy Baby which is to be born shall be called the Son of God.

emtv@Luke:1:58 @ And when her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.

emtv@Luke:1:79 @ to give light to them that sit in darkness and [in ]the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

emtv@Luke:2:15 @ So it was, when the angels had departed from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go then to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us."

emtv@Luke:2:17 @ And when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.

emtv@Luke:2:20 @ Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was spoken to them.

emtv@Luke:2:24 @ and to offer a sacrifice according to what had been said in the law of the Lord, "A pair of doves or two young pigeons."

emtv@Luke:2:26 @ And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he should see the Lord's Christ.

emtv@Luke:2:36 @ Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;

emtv@Luke:2:39 @ So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth.

emtv@Luke:3:19 @ But Herod the tetrarch, being rebuked by him concerning Herodias, his brother's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,

emtv@Luke:4:13 @ Now when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

emtv@Luke:4:16 @ And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and He stood up to read.

emtv@Luke:4:20 @ And having rolled up the scroll, when He had given [it] to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were looking intently at Him.

emtv@Luke:4:33 @ Now in the synagogue [there] was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice,

emtv@Luke:4:35 @ But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silenced, and come out from him!"And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, it came out from him, and did not hurt him.

emtv@Luke:4:40 @ Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on each one of them and healed them.

emtv@Luke:5:4 @ Now when He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Put out into the deep and lower your nets for a catch."

emtv@Luke:5:6 @ And when they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was tearing.

emtv@Luke:5:9 @ For astonishment gripped him and all who were with him at the haul of fish which they had taken.

emtv@Luke:5:17 @ Now it happened on a certain day that He was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there[,] who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.

emtv@Luke:5:25 @ Immediately he rose up before them, taking up [the bed] which he had been lying on, he went off to his own house, glorifying God.

emtv@Luke:6:8 @ But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand in the midst."And he arose and stood.

emtv@Luke:6:10 @ And when He had looked around at them all, He said to him, "Stretch out your hand."And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

emtv@Luke:7:10 @ And when those who were sent returned to the house, they found the servant well who had been sick.

emtv@Luke:7:13 @ When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."

emtv@Luke:7:24 @ Now when John's messengers had departed, He began to speak to the crowds concerning John: "What have you gone out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

emtv@Luke:7:30 @ But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God for themselves, because they had not been baptized by him.

emtv@Luke:7:39 @ Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke within himself, saying, "This [Man], if He were a prophet, would know who and what sort of woman [this is] who touches Him, for she is a sinner."

emtv@Luke:7:41 @ There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other [owed ]fifty.

emtv@Luke:7:42 @ And when they had nothing with which to pay back, he freely forgave them both. Tell [Me], therefore, which of them will love him more?"

emtv@Luke:8:2 @ and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities; Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,

emtv@Luke:8:4 @ And when a large crowd had gathered, and the [people] came to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable:

emtv@Luke:8:6 @ And other [seed] fell on rock; and when it grew up, it withered away because it had no moisture.

emtv@Luke:8:27 @ And when He got out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house, but among the tombs.

emtv@Luke:8:29 @ For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For it had seized him at times, and he was bound, kept under guard, with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.

emtv@Luke:8:30 @ Jesus asked him, saying, "What is your name?"And he said, "Legion,"because many demons had entered into him.

emtv@Luke:8:34 @ And when those who fed [them] saw what had happened, they fled and reported [it] in the city and in the country.

emtv@Luke:8:35 @ Then they went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had come out [of], sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and being of sound mind. And they were afraid.

emtv@Luke:8:38 @ Now the man from whom the demons had come out was begging Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

emtv@Luke:8:42 @ for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He was going, the crowds were pressing against Him.

emtv@Luke:8:43 @ Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who though she had spent [her] whole livelihood on physicians, was not able to be healed by anyone,

emtv@Luke:8:47 @ Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she recounted to Him before all the people the reason why she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.

emtv@Luke:8:53 @ And they were ridiculing Him, knowing that she had died.

emtv@Luke:8:56 @ And her parents were amazed, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.

emtv@Luke:9:7 @ Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all the things[ ]being done by Him; and he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,

emtv@Luke:9:8 @ and by others that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the ancient prophets had arisen.

emtv@Luke:9:10 @ And the apostles, when they had returned, recounted to Him all that they had done. And taking them along, He withdrew privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

emtv@Luke:9:34 @ Now as he said these things, a cloud appeared and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.

emtv@Luke:9:36 @ When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. But they kept silent, and reported to no one in those days any of the things they had seen.

emtv@Luke:9:51 @ Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,

emtv@Luke:10:13 @ "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

emtv@Luke:10:15 @ And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

emtv@Luke:10:39 @ And the [woman] had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and was listening to His word.

emtv@Luke:11:22 @ But when someone stronger [than] he comes upon [him,] he overcomes him, [and ]he takes away his full armor in which he had trusted, and distributes his spoils.

emtv@Luke:11:38 @ And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before the meal.

emtv@Luke:12:1 @ Now in the meantime, as an innumerable crowd had gathered together so that they were stepping on one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

emtv@Luke:12:39 @ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have kept watch, and not allowed his house to be broken into.

emtv@Luke:13:1 @ And some [people] were present at that very time, reporting to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

emtv@Luke:13:6 @ He also spoke this parable: "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit on it and found none.

emtv@Luke:13:11 @ And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over and was not able to straighten herself up.

emtv@Luke:13:14 @ But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, "There are six days in which one should work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day."

emtv@Luke:14:2 @ And behold, there was a certain man before Him who had dropsy.

emtv@Luke:15:11 @ Then He said: "A certain man had two sons.

emtv@Luke:15:14 @ But when he had spent everything, there arose a severe famine throughout that country, and he began to be in need.

emtv@Luke:16:1 @ He also said to His disciples: "There was a certain rich man who had a manager, and this [man] was accused to him as wasting his possessions.

emtv@Luke:16:8 @ So the master praised the unrighteous manager because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this age are shrewder in their own generation than the sons of light.

emtv@Luke:16:20 @ But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,

emtv@Luke:16:23 @ And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom.

emtv@Luke:19:15 @ And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, that he commanded those servants to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, so that he might know who gained what by trading.

emtv@Luke:19:20 @ Then another came, saying, 'Master, behold your mina, which I had laid away in a handkerchief.

emtv@Luke:19:37 @ And as He was approaching the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,

emtv@Luke:19:42 @ saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things pertaining to your peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.

emtv@Luke:20:19 @ And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him that very hour, but they were afraid-for they knew that He had spoken this parable against them.

emtv@Luke:20:33 @ Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had her [as] wife."

emtv@Luke:21:4 @ For all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put [in] all the livelihood which she had."

emtv@Luke:22:13 @ So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.

emtv@Luke:22:14 @ When the hour had come, He reclined [to eat], and the twelve apostles with Him.

emtv@Luke:22:52 @ Then Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to Him, "Have you come out, as against a bandit, with swords and clubs?

emtv@Luke:22:55 @ Now when they had lit a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat in their midst.

emtv@Luke:22:59 @ Then after about one hour had passed, another was firmly insisting, saying, "Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean."

emtv@Luke:22:61 @ And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, "Before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times."

emtv@Luke:23:8 @ Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he was hoping to see some miracle being done by Him.

emtv@Luke:23:12 @ That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

emtv@Luke:23:19 @ who because of a certain insurrection having occurred in the city had been thrown into prison, and for murder.

emtv@Luke:23:25 @ And he released whom they were requesting, who because of insurrection and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

emtv@Luke:23:47 @ And when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man!"

emtv@Luke:23:48 @ And all the crowds which came together for this spectacle, when they saw what had happened, beat their own chests and returned.

emtv@Luke:23:51 @ (this [man] had not agreed to their decision and deed), from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

emtv@Luke:23:53 @ And having taken it down, he wrapped it in a linen cloth, and put it in a tomb cut out of rock, where no one had ever lain before.

emtv@Luke:23:55 @ And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was placed.

emtv@Luke:24:1 @ And on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared.

emtv@Luke:24:12 @ But Peter rose up and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen strips lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

emtv@Luke:24:14 @ And they were conversing with one another about all these things which had happened.

emtv@Luke:24:23 @ And not finding His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive.

emtv@Luke:24:24 @ And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it thus just as also the women had said; but Him they did not see."

emtv@Luke:24:35 @ And they described the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.

emtv@Luke:24:40 @ When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

emtv@Luke:24:52 @ And after they had worshipped Him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

emtv@John:1:24 @ Now those who had been sent were from the Pharisees.

emtv@John:2:3 @ And when the wine had given out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."

emtv@John:2:9 @ Now when the head steward tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the head steward called the bridegroom

emtv@John:2:22 @ Therefore, when He was raised up from among the dead, His disciples remembered that He spoke this [thing,] and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

emtv@John:2:25 @ and had no need that anyone should testify concerning man, for He himself knew what was in man.

emtv@John:4:1 @ Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and was baptizing more disciples than John

emtv@John:4:8 @ For His disciples had gone away into the city, that they might buy provisions.

emtv@John:4:10 @ Jesus answered and said to her, "If you had known the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given to you living water."

emtv@John:4:18 @ "for you have had five husbands, and [the one] whom you now have is not your husband; in this you have said truly."

emtv@John:4:40 @ So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.

emtv@John:4:47 @ When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and asked Him that He might come down and heal his son, for he was about to die.

emtv@John:4:54 @ This again is the second sign Jesus did, after He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

emtv@John:5:5 @ Now there was a certain man there who had an ailment [for ]thirty-eight years.

emtv@John:5:6 @ When Jesus saw this [man] lying there, and knew that he already had been in [that condition] a long time, He said to him, "Do you wish to become well?"

emtv@John:5:13 @ But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had turned aside, while a crowd was in that place.

emtv@John:5:15 @ The man went away and reported to the Jews that Jesus was the [One ]who had made him well.

emtv@John:6:13 @ Therefore they gathered [them] up, and they filled twelve baskets of fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.

emtv@John:6:14 @ Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, "This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world."

emtv@John:6:17 @ and having entered into the boat, they were going across the sea to Capernaum. And darkness had already come, and Jesus had not come to them.

emtv@John:6:22 @ On the next day, when the crowd which had remained on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other boat there, except that one in which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not entered into the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone-

emtv@John:6:23 @ however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks-

emtv@John:7:9 @ When He had said these things to them, He remained in Galilee.

emtv@John:7:10 @ But when His brothers had gone up, then also He Himself went up to the feast, not openly, but as [it were] in secret.

emtv@John:7:30 @ Therefore they were seeking to arrest Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

emtv@John:8:3 @ Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman who had been caught in adultery, and having stood her in [the] midst,

emtv@John:8:20 @ These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, while teaching in the temple; and no one seized Him, for His time had not yet come.

emtv@John:8:31 @ Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, truly you are My disciples.

emtv@John:9:11 @ He answered and said, "A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.' When I had gone and washed, I received [my ]sight."

emtv@John:9:18 @ But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he was blind and received [his] sight, until they called the parents of him who had received [his] sight.

emtv@John:9:22 @ These things[ ]his parents said because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone should confess that He was Christ, he would be excommunicated.

emtv@John:9:35 @ Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and having found him, He said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?"

emtv@John:11:2 @ Now it was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with myrrh, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

emtv@John:11:17 @ Therefore when He had come, Jesus found that he had already been in the tomb four days.

emtv@John:11:19 @ And many of the Jews had come to the [women] around Martha and Mary, so that they might console them concerning their brother.

emtv@John:11:21 @ Then Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.

emtv@John:11:28 @ And when she had said these things, she went out and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you."

emtv@John:11:30 @ Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met Him.

emtv@John:11:32 @ Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, seeing Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."

emtv@John:11:33 @ Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.

emtv@John:11:45 @ Therefore many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and seeing the things which Jesus had done, believed in Him.

emtv@John:11:46 @ But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.

emtv@John:11:57 @ Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a command, that if anyone knew where He was, he should report [it], so that they might seize Him.

emtv@John:12:1 @ Then Jesus, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had died, whom He raised from the dead.

emtv@John:12:6 @ This he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to pilfer the things which were placed in it.

emtv@John:12:9 @ Now a large crowd from the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

emtv@John:12:14 @ Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, he sat on it; as it is written:

emtv@John:12:18 @ On account of this the crowd also met Him, because they heard that He had done this sign.

emtv@John:12:29 @ Therefore the crowd which was standing and heard were saying that it had thundered. Others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."

emtv@John:12:37 @ But even though He had done so many signs in their presence, they did not believe in Him,

emtv@John:13:1 @ Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

emtv@John:13:3 @ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,

emtv@John:13:12 @ So when He had washed their feet, and had taken His garments, He reclined again, and said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?

emtv@John:13:21 @ When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in His spirit, and testified and said, "Most assuredly I say to you, one of you will betray Me."

emtv@John:13:29 @ For some were thinking, since Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, "Buy [the ]things of which we need for the feast,"or that he should give something to the poor.

emtv@John:13:31 @ When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been glorified, and God has been glorified in Him.

emtv@John:14:7 @ "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now [on] you know Him and you have seen Him."

emtv@John:15:22 @ If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse concerning their sin.

emtv@John:15:24 @ If I had not done the works among them which no one else has done, they would have no sin; but now they have both seen and they have hated both Me and My Father.

emtv@John:17:5 @ And now, O Father, glorify Me alongside Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

emtv@John:18:18 @ And the servants and attendants who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they were warming themselves. Now Peter was standing with them and warming himself.

emtv@John:18:22 @ And when He had said these things, one of the attendants who stood by slapped Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, "Is this how You answer the high priest?"

emtv@John:19:11 @ Jesus answered, "You would have no authority at all against Me unless it had been given to you from above. Therefore the one who betrayed Me to you has a greater sin."

emtv@John:19:28 @ After this, Jesus, seeing that all things already had been fulfilled, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said, "I thirst!"

emtv@John:19:41 @ Now in the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been buried.

emtv@John:20:1 @ On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

emtv@John:20:7 @ and the facecloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen strips, but apart from [them,] having been rolled up in one place.

emtv@John:20:12 @ And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

emtv@John:20:18 @ Mary Magdalene went reporting to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] He had spoken these things to her.

emtv@John:20:22 @ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

emtv@John:21:4 @ But as daybreak had already come, Jesus stood upon the shore; however the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

emtv@John:21:7 @ Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!"Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and he threw himself into the sea.

emtv@John:21:15 @ So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, [son] of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?"He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I care for You."He said to him, "Feed My lambs."

emtv@John:21:19 @ But this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."

emtv@John:21:20 @ Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had reclined on His chest at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

emtv@Acts:1:2 @ until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

emtv@Acts:1:6 @ Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"

emtv@Acts:1:13 @ And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying; both Peter and James and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

emtv@Acts:2:1 @ And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

emtv@Acts:2:27 @ Because You will not abandon my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

emtv@Acts:2:30 @ "Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to seat [Him ]on his throne,

emtv@Acts:2:31 @ foreseeing [this], he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, "that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption."

emtv@Acts:2:44 @ Now all who believed were together, and they had all things in common,

emtv@Acts:2:45 @ and they were selling their possessions and goods, and were dividing them among all, to the degree that anyone had a need.

emtv@Acts:3:10 @ Then they recognized that this was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and amazement because of that which had happened to him.

emtv@Acts:3:11 @ And while the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, utterly astonished.

emtv@Acts:3:12 @ So when Peter saw [this], he replied to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

emtv@Acts:3:13 @ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

emtv@Acts:3:20 @ and that He may send He who had been ordained to be your Messiah, Jesus,

emtv@Acts:4:13 @ Now when they observed the boldness of Peter and John, and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

emtv@Acts:4:14 @ But because they saw standing with them the man who had been healed, they had nothing to say against [them].

emtv@Acts:4:21 @ So having threatened them further, they released them, finding no way of punishing them, on account of the people, because they all were glorifying God over that which had occurred.

emtv@Acts:4:22 @ For the man was over forty, on whom had come about this sign of healing.

emtv@Acts:4:23 @ And being released, they came to their own, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

emtv@Acts:4:31 @ And when they had prayed, the place where they were gathered was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

emtv@Acts:4:32 @ Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things belonging to him was his own, but they had all things in common.

emtv@Acts:4:34 @ Nor was there anyone needy among them; for all who were owners of lands or houses were selling them, and were bringing the proceeds of the things which had been sold,

emtv@Acts:4:35 @ and were placing them beside the feet of the apostles; and they were distributing to each, to the degree that anyone had need.

emtv@Acts:5:7 @ And it happened about three hours later, that his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.

emtv@Acts:5:15 @ so that they were bringing the sick[ ]and placing them on couches and pallets, so that as Peter was passing by, at least his shadow might fall on some of them.

emtv@Acts:6:6 @ whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

emtv@Acts:7:5 @ And He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a place to put his foot on, and He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him, though he had no child.

emtv@Acts:7:23 @ Now when he had turned forty years old, it came into his heart to look upon his brothers, the sons of Israel.

emtv@Acts:7:44 @ "The tabernacle of the testimony was with our fathers in the wilderness, just as the One speaking to Moses commanded him, to make it according to the pattern that he had seen,

emtv@Acts:8:7 @ For many of those having unclean spirits [had ]cried out with a loud voice, [and the spirits ]came out; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

emtv@Acts:8:11 @ But they gave heed to him because of the long time that he had astonished them with the magic arts.

emtv@Acts:8:14 @ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,

emtv@Acts:8:16 @ For He had not yet fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of Christ Jesus.

emtv@Acts:8:27 @ So he got up and went; and behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, a court official of Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem worshipping,

emtv@Acts:9:19 @ And when he had received food, he was strengthened. Now Saul was with the disciples in Damascus three days.

emtv@Acts:9:27 @ But Barnabas, taking hold of him, brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that He had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he spoke boldly in the name of Jesus.

emtv@Acts:9:31 @ Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, and going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, were multiplying.

emtv@Acts:9:33 @ And he found there a certain man named Aeneas, who had been confined to a bed for eight years,[ ]who was paralyzed.

emtv@Acts:10:7 @ Now when the angel who had been speaking to Cornelius had departed, he called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually.

emtv@Acts:10:17 @ Now as Peter was very perplexed within himself as to what the vision which he had seen might mean, behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius, having found by inquiry the house of Simon, stood at the gateway.

emtv@Acts:10:45 @ And those of the circumcision who believed were astounded, as many as had come with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.

emtv@Acts:11:1 @ Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that even the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

emtv@Acts:11:13 @ And he related to us how he had seen the angel in his house, standing and saying to him, 'Send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter,

emtv@Acts:12:17 @ And motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he related to them how the Lord had led him out of the prison. And he said, "Tell these things to James and to the brothers."And going out, he went to another place.

emtv@Acts:12:18 @ Now when day came, there was no small disturbance among the soldiers, as to what had become of Peter.

emtv@Acts:13:5 @ And arriving in Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.

emtv@Acts:13:12 @ Then when the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, being amazed at the teaching of the Lord.

emtv@Acts:13:24 @ after John had first proclaimed before His coming, the baptism of repentance to Israel.

emtv@Acts:14:8 @ And a certain man in Lystra, powerless in his feet, was sitting, lame from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

emtv@Acts:14:9 @ This [man] heard Paul speaking; who, gazing intently on him and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

emtv@Acts:14:23 @ And having chosen elders for them in every church, [and ]having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

emtv@Acts:14:26 @ From there they sailed to Antioch, from where they were commended to the grace of God for the work which they had completed.

emtv@Acts:14:27 @ Now arriving and gathering the church together, they related all that God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith for the Gentiles.

emtv@Acts:15:4 @ And having come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they declared all that God had done with them.

emtv@Acts:15:12 @ Then all the multitude stopped speaking and listened to Barnabas and Paul telling as many signs and wonders as God had done among the Gentiles through them.

emtv@Acts:15:13 @ Now after they had finished speaking, James answered, saying, "Men and brothers, listen to me:

emtv@Acts:15:21 @ "For Moses has had from ancient generations those who proclaim him in each city, being read in the synagogues from one Sabbath to another."

emtv@Acts:15:31 @ And when they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement.

emtv@Acts:15:33 @ And when time had passed, they were dismissed with peace from the brothers to the apostles.

emtv@Acts:15:38 @ But Paul considered it fitting not to take along with them the one who withdrew from them in Pamphylia, and who had not gone together with them to the work.

emtv@Acts:16:2 @ who had a good testimony by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium.

emtv@Acts:16:4 @ And as they were going through the cities, they were delivering to them the decrees to keep, which had been decided by the apostles and the elders at Jerusalem.

emtv@Acts:16:6 @ Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the Galatian region, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in Asia,

emtv@Acts:16:10 @ Now when he saw the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

emtv@Acts:17:23 @ for as I passed by and considered the objects of your worship, I found also an altar on which it had been inscribed: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, [Him] whom being ignorant of you worship, this [One] I announce to you:

emtv@Acts:18:2 @ And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with Priscilla his wife (because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to depart from Rome); he came to them,

emtv@Acts:18:18 @ Now Paul still remained there a good while, then bid farewell to the brothers, and sailed away for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. He had his hair cut off in Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow.

emtv@Acts:18:24 @ Now a certain Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, had arrived in Ephesus.

emtv@Acts:18:25 @ This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things about the Lord, although he knew only the baptism of John.

emtv@Acts:18:27 @ And when he desired to go across to Achaia, having urged him on, the brothers wrote to the disciples [there] to receive him; and when he arrived, he assisted greatly with those who had believed through grace;

emtv@Acts:19:18 @ And many of those who had believed were coming, confessing and disclosing their deeds.

emtv@Acts:19:32 @ Then others were calling out something different, for the assembly was confused, and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.

emtv@Acts:20:1 @ Now after the disturbance had ceased, Paul, summoning the disciples and greeting them, went away to go to Macedonia.

emtv@Acts:20:13 @ Now we, having gone ahead on the ship, put to sea for Assos, from there intending to take Paul on board; for thus it had been arranged, since he intended to go on foot.

emtv@Acts:20:16 @ For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, in order that it might not happen to him to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying, if it was possible for him to be in Jerusalem [on] the Day of Pentecost.

emtv@Acts:21:1 @ Now when it came to pass that we had put to sea, having withdrawn from them, running a straight course we came to Cos, and on the next [day] to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.

emtv@Acts:21:3 @ When we had sighted Cyprus, and had left it behind [on the ]left, we sailed to Syria, and put in to harbor in Tyre, for the ship was unloading its cargo.

emtv@Acts:21:5 @ But when it came about that we had completed the days [there], having gone out we departed, all [of them] accompanying us, together with [their ]wives and children, until [we were] outside the city. And having bowed [our] knees on the shore, we prayed.

emtv@Acts:21:9 @ Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

emtv@Acts:21:19 @ And having greeted them, he reported one by one those[ ]things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

emtv@Acts:21:29 @ For they had seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.

emtv@Acts:21:31 @ And seeking to kill him, a report went up to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem had been stirred up,

emtv@Acts:21:33 @ And the commander, approaching, took hold of him, and ordered him to be bound with two chains; and he was inquiring who he might be and what he had done.

emtv@Acts:21:35 @ But when he arrived at the stairs, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd.

emtv@Acts:22:29 @ Then immediately those who were about to interrogate him withdrew from him; and even the commander was afraid, having learned he was a Roman, and that he had bound him.

emtv@Acts:23:7 @ And when he had spoken this, there came to be a dispute between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided.

emtv@Acts:23:13 @ And there were over four hundred who had made this plot;

emtv@Acts:23:29 @ and I found that he was accused concerning questions of their law, [but] had no accusation [against him] worthy of death or chains.

emtv@Acts:24:2 @ And when he had been called, Tertullus began to accuse [him], saying: "Attaining much peace by you and successes coming about for this nation by your foresight,

emtv@Acts:24:27 @ But after two years had passed, Felix received Porcius Festus as his successor; and Felix, desiring to grant favors to the Jews, left Paul in prison.

emtv@Acts:25:1 @ Now when Festus had set foot in the province, after three days he went up to Jerusalem from Ceasarea.

emtv@Acts:25:6 @ And when he had stayed among them more than ten days, he went down to Caesarea. And the next day, sitting on the judgment seat, he commanded Paul to be brought.

emtv@Acts:25:7 @ When he arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing many and serious accusations against Paul, which they were not able to prove,

emtv@Acts:25:17 @ "Therefore when they had assembled here, having made no delay, on the next day I took my seat at the judicial bench, and I commanded the man to be brought [in];

emtv@Acts:25:19 @ but had some questions against him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who had died, whom Paul affirmed to be living.

emtv@Acts:25:23 @ Therefore on the next day, when Agrippa and Bernice had come with all pomp, and had entered into the auditorium together with the commanders and the prominent men of the city, and when Festus had commanded, Paul was brought.

emtv@Acts:25:25 @ But when I came to understand him to have done nothing worthy of death, and also he had appealed to His Majesty the Emperor, I decided to send him.

emtv@Acts:26:14 @ And when we all had fallen down to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.'

emtv@Acts:26:30 @ When he had said these things, the king stood up, as well as the governor and Bernice and those sitting together with them;

emtv@Acts:26:32 @ Then Agrippa said to Festus, "This man could have been released if he had not appealed to Caesar."

emtv@Acts:27:9 @ Now when much time had been spent, the voyage having already become dangerous, because the Fast had already gone by, Paul recommended,

emtv@Acts:27:13 @ And when a south wind blew gently, supposing they had attained their purpose, they weighed anchor and sailed along close in shore to Crete.

emtv@Acts:27:21 @ Now when they had abstained from food for a long time, then stood Paul in the midst of them and said, "Men, you should have followed my advice and not put to sea from Crete, and to spare [yourselves ]this hardship and loss.

emtv@Acts:27:28 @ And having taken a sounding, they found it to be twenty fathoms; and when they had gone a little farther, they took soundings again and found it to be fifteen fathoms;

emtv@Acts:27:39 @ Now when it became day, they did not recognize the land; but they noticed a certain bay which had a beach, on which they resolved, if possible, to run the ship ashore.

emtv@Acts:28:2 @ And the natives were showing us extraordinary kindness; for having kindled a fire they accepted us all into [their] society, because of the rain which had begun, and because of the cold.

emtv@Acts:28:3 @ But when Paul had gathered a large bundle of sticks and put them on the fire, a viper having come out because of the heat, fastened on his hand.

emtv@Acts:28:6 @ And they were expecting him to be about to swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had waited for a long time and observed nothing unusual happening to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god.

emtv@Acts:28:11 @ Now after three months we put to sea in a ship that had wintered on the island, [belonging] to Alexandria, with the figurehead of the Twin Brothers.

emtv@Acts:28:17 @ And it came to pass after three days that Paul called together those who were prominent among the Jews; and when they had come together, he said to them: "Men, brothers, though I have done nothing against the people or the customs of our forefathers, yet I was handed over as a prisoner from Jerusalem, into the hands of the Romans,

emtv@Acts:28:18 @ who, when they had examined me, were wanting to release me because there was no cause for my case.

emtv@Acts:28:19 @ But when the Jews spoke in opposition, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything of which to accuse my nation.

emtv@Acts:28:25 @ And being in disagreement with one another, they went away after Paul had said one word: "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

emtv@Acts:28:29 @ And when he had said these things, the Jews went away, having a great dispute among themselves.

emtv@Romans:4:11 @ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while ]in uncircumcision, so that he should be the father of all those that believe, although uncircumcised, so that righteousness should also be imputed to them,

emtv@Romans:4:12 @ and the father of circumcision to those not only of circumcision, but also to those following in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham[ had while] in uncircumcision.

emtv@Romans:4:21 @ and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to do.

emtv@Romans:7:7 @ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? By no means! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known lust unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

emtv@Romans:9:23 @ and so that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,

emtv@Romans:9:29 @ And just as Isaiah foretold: "If the LORD of hosts had not left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and would have resembled Gomorrah."

emtv@1Corinthians:1:15 @ lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name.

emtv@1Corinthians:2:8 @ which none of the rulers of this age understood (for had they understood, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory).

emtv@1Corinthians:7:29 @ But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened; so that from now on even those having wives should be as though they had none,

emtv@1Corinthians:15:55 @ "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"

emtv@2Corinthians:1:9 @ Yes, we have had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,

emtv@2Corinthians:2:13 @ I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but saying farewell to them, I departed for Macedonia.

emtv@2Corinthians:3:9 @ For if the ministry of condemnation [had] glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

emtv@2Corinthians:7:5 @ For indeed, when we came to Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side; outside [were] fightings, inside [were] fears.

emtv@2Corinthians:8:6 @ so that we urged Titus, that just as he had begun before, thus he would also finish this grace also in you.

emtv@2Corinthians:8:15 @ As it is written, "He [who ga]there[d] much did not have too much, and he [who gathered] little had no lack."

emtv@2Corinthians:9:5 @ Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brothers, that they should go before [me] to you, and should arrange in advance your generous gift, which you had previously promised, [that] this would be ready, thus as a blessing and not as grudgingly given.

emtv@Galatians:2:2 @ And I went up by revelation, and I set before them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those with influence, lest somehow I might run, or had run, in vain.

emtv@Galatians:2:7 @ but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted [with] the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter [was with the gospel ]for the circumcised,

emtv@Galatians:3:19 @ Why then the law? It was added on account of transgressions, until the Seed should come to whom it had been promised; and it was commanded through angels by the hand of a mediator.

emtv@Galatians:3:21 @ Therefore, [is] the law against the promises of God? By no means! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

emtv@Galatians:4:4 @ But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

emtv@Galatians:4:22 @ For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by the servant girl, the other by a freewoman.

emtv@Ephesians:3:9 @ and to enlighten all [as to] what is the administration of the mystery, which had been hidden from the ages in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;

emtv@Philippians:2:26 @ since he was longing for you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.

emtv@Colossians:2:17 @ which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.

emtv@1Thessalonians:1:9 @ For they themselves report about us what kind of entrance we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

emtv@1Thessalonians:2:8 @ In this way longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

emtv@1Thessalonians:3:5 @ Because of this, when I could no longer endure [it], I sent to learn about your faith, lest somehow the tempter had tempted you, and our labor be in vain.

emtv@Hebrews:1:3 @ who being the radiance of His glory and the exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

emtv@Hebrews:4:2 @ For indeed we have had the gospel preached [to us] just as those also; but the word which they heard did not profit those, not having been mixed with faith in those having heard it.

emtv@Hebrews:4:8 @ For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not have spoken afterward of another day.

emtv@Hebrews:5:7 @ who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up both prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears to the [One] who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His fear of God,

emtv@Hebrews:6:15 @ And so, after he had been patient, he obtained the promise.

emtv@Hebrews:8:5 @ who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses had been warned when he was about to complete the tabernacle, for He says, "See, you shall make all things according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain."

emtv@Hebrews:8:7 @ For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.

emtv@Hebrews:9:1 @ Now even the first [covenant] had ordinances of [divine] service and the earthly sanctuary.

emtv@Hebrews:9:5 @ and above it [were] cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; concerning these things we cannot now speak in detail.

emtv@Hebrews:9:6 @ Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,

emtv@Hebrews:9:19 @ For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses according to law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

emtv@Hebrews:10:1 @ For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the image itself of the things, can never with the same sacrifices, which they offer continually every year, make those approaching perfect.

emtv@Hebrews:10:2 @ Otherwise they would not have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.

emtv@Hebrews:10:6 @ In burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin You had no pleasure.

emtv@Hebrews:10:8 @ Earlier saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and [sacrifices] for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them"(which are offered according to the law),

emtv@Hebrews:10:15 @ But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,

emtv@Hebrews:11:5 @ By faith Enoch was translated [so as] not to see death, "and he was not found, because God translated him"; for before his translation he had obtained witness that he was pleasing to God.

emtv@Hebrews:11:11 @ By faith Sarah herself also received power for conception of seed, and she bore a child past the normal age, because she regarded [Him] faithful who had promised.

emtv@Hebrews:11:15 @ And indeed if they had remembered that land from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to turn back.

emtv@Hebrews:11:17 @ By faith Abraham, when he was tested, had offered up Isaac, and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten [son],

emtv@Hebrews:11:31 @ By faith the prositute Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.

emtv@Hebrews:12:9 @ Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we respected [them.] Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?

emtv@James:1:17 @ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

emtv@1Peter:2:10 @ who formerly [were] not a people but now [are the] people of God, who had not received mercy, but now have received mercy.

emtv@1John:2:7 @ Brothers, I am not writing a new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.

emtv@1John:2:19 @ They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but [they went out] in order that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

emtv@2John:1:5 @ And now I ask you, lady, not as writing a new commandment to you, but one which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.

emtv@2John:1:12 @ Although I had many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, in order that our joy may be fulfilled.

emtv@3John:1:13 @ I had many things to write, but I do not wish to write to you with pen and ink.

emtv@Revelation:1:16 @ He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was as the sun shining in its strength.

emtv@Revelation:1:18 @ I am He who lives, and became dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

emtv@Revelation:4:7 @ The first living being was like a lion, the second living being [was ]like a calf, the third living being had a face of a man, and the fourth living being was like a flying eagle.

emtv@Revelation:6:2 @ And behold, a white horse. And he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering, and to conquer.

emtv@Revelation:6:5 @ And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living being say, "Come."And behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.

emtv@Revelation:6:8 @ And behold, a pale horse, and he who sat on it was named Death, and Hades was following him. And authority was given to him over a fourth of the earth, to kill with [the ]sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

emtv@Revelation:7:2 @ Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it had been granted to harm the earth and the sea,

emtv@Revelation:8:6 @ So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound the trumpets.

emtv@Revelation:9:8 @ They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions.

emtv@Revelation:9:9 @ And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots with many horses rushing into battle.

emtv@Revelation:9:10 @ And they had tails like scorpions, and stings. And in their tails they have power to harm men five months,

emtv@Revelation:9:14 @ saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels having been bound at the great river Euphrates."

emtv@Revelation:9:15 @ So the four angels were released, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill a third of mankind.

emtv@Revelation:12:16 @ But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon had cast out of his mouth.

emtv@Revelation:13:3 @ And one of his heads [was ]as if it had been slain to death, and his wound of death was healed. And the whole world marveled after the Beast.

emtv@Revelation:13:11 @ Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon.

emtv@Revelation:13:14 @ And he deceives my own [people] who dwell on the earth by the signs which were given to him to do before the Beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound-and came to life! -from the sword.

emtv@Revelation:14:3 @ And they sang a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one was able to learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemed from the earth.

emtv@Revelation:16:18 @ And there were lightnings and thunders, and noises; and there was a great earthquake, such as had not occurred since men came into being on the earth, so great an earthquake, so great!

emtv@Revelation:18:19 @ "And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and sorrowing, and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, by which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! Because in one hour she was laid waste.'

emtv@Revelation:18:24 @ And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all those who had been slain on the earth."

emtv@Revelation:19:20 @ Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

emtv@Revelation:20:4 @ And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the Beast or his image, and they did not receive the mark on their forehead or on their hand. And they came to life and reigned with Christ [for] the thousand years.

emtv@Revelation:20:13 @ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works.

emtv@Revelation:20:14 @ Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

emtv@Revelation:21:1 @ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And there was no more sea.

emtv@Revelation:21:9 @ Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls being full with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the wife, the bride of the Lamb."

emtv@Revelation:21:14 @ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

emtv@Revelation:21:15 @ And he who spoke with me had a measure, a golden reed, so that he might measure the city, and its gates.

emtv@Revelation:21:23 @ The city had no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
