gltv@Joshua:22:23 @ If we built an altar for ourselves to turn away from following after Jehovah, or to sacrifice on it burnt offering and food offering, or to offer on it sacrifices of peace, may Jehovah Himself require it.

gltv@Joshua:22:27 @ but it shall be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, to do the service of Jehovah before Him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings; that your sons may not say to our sons in the future, You have no portion in Jehovah.

gltv@Joshua:22:28 @ And we said, And it shall be, when they say this to us, and to our generations hereafter, that we shall say, See the pattern of the altar of Jehovah, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering or for sacrifice, but it is a witness between us and you.

gltv@Joshua:22:29 @ Far be it from us to rebel against Jehovah, and to turn away today from following after Jehovah, to build an altar for burnt offering, for food offering, and for sacrifice, apart from the altar of Jehovah our God, which is before His tabernacle!

gltv@Joshua:23:7 @ so as not to go in among these nations, these who are left with you; and that you do not make mention of the name of their gods, nor shall you swear, nor shall you serve them, nor shall you bow yourselves to them.

gltv@Joshua:23:10 @ One man of you shall pursue a thousand; for Jehovah your God is He who is fighting for you, as He has spoken to you.

gltv@Joshua:23:14 @ And, behold! Today I am going in the way of all the earth, and you know with all your heart and with all your soul that there has not failed one thing of all the good things which Jehovah your God has spoken concerning you; all of it has come to you; there has not one thing failed of it.

gltv@Joshua:23:15 @ And it shall be, as every good thing which Jehovah your God has spoken to you comes to you, so shall Jehovah bring on you every evil thing, until He destroys you from off this good land which Jehovah your God has given to you,

gltv@Joshua:23:16 @ when you transgress the covenant of Jehovah your God which He commanded you, and when you have gone and served other gods, and have bowed yourselves to them, then the anger of Jehovah shall glow against you; and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which He has given to you.

gltv@Joshua:24:2 @ And said to all the people, So says Jehovah the God of Israel, Your fathers have in the past lived Beyond the River (Terah the father of Abraham and father of Nahor) and they served other gods.

gltv@Joshua:24:12 @ And I sent the hornet before you, and it cast them out before you, two kings of the Amorite, not by the sword nor by your how.

gltv@Joshua:24:14 @ Now, then, fear Jehovah, and serve Him in sincerity and truth, and turn away from the gods which your fathers served Beyond the River, and in Egypt; and you serve Jehovah.

gltv@Joshua:24:15 @ And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods whom your fathers served Beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

gltv@Joshua:24:17 @ For Jehovah our God is He who has brought us and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves, and who has done these great signs before our eyes, and has preserved us in all the way in which we have gone, and among all the people through whom we have passed.

gltv@Joshua:24:18 @ And Jehovah has cast out all the peoples, even the Amorite inhabiting the land before us. We also will serve Jehovah, for He is our God.

gltv@Joshua:24:22 @ And said to the people, You are witnesses against yourselves, that you have chosen Jehovah for yourselves, to serve Him (for they said, We are witnesses)

gltv@Joshua:24:23 @ and now turn away from the strange gods among you, and incline your heart to Jehovah the God of Israel.

gltv@1Samuel:12:10 @ And they cried to Jehovah and said, We have sinned, for we forsook Jehovah and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, but now deliver us from the hand of our enemies and we will serve You.

gltv@1Samuel:12:11 @ And Jehovah sent Jerubbaal, and Bedan, and Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you from the hand of your enemies from all around; and you lived securely.

gltv@1Samuel:12:12 @ And you saw that Nahash the king of the sons of Ammon came against you, and you said to me, No, for a king shall reign over us even though Jehovah your God was king over you.

gltv@1Samuel:12:14 @ If you will fear Jehovah and serve Him, and listen to His voice, and do not rebel against the mouth of Jehovah, then you, both you and also the king who reigns over you, shall follow Jehovah your God.

gltv@1Samuel:12:15 @ But if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah, and you rebel against the mouth of Jehovah, then the hand of Jehovah shall be against you and against your fathers.

gltv@1Samuel:12:16 @ Also, now present yourselves and see this great thing that Jehovah will do before your eyes.

gltv@1Samuel:12:17 @ Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call to Jehovah and He will give sounds and rain. And know and see that your evil is great, that which you have done in the eyes of Jehovah, to ask a king for yourselves.

gltv@1Samuel:12:19 @ And all the people said to Samuel, Pray to Jehovah your God for your servants, and not we will die, for we have added this evil to all our sins to ask a king for ourselves.

gltv@1Samuel:12:20 @ And Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You have done all this evil, only do not turn aside from following Jehovah, and serve Jehovah with all your heart.

gltv@1Samuel:12:24 @ Only fear Jehovah and serve Him in truth with all your heart, for see that He has done great things for you.

gltv@1Samuel:12:25 @ But if you still do evilly, both you and your king will be swept away.

gltv@1Samuel:13:13 @ And Samuel said to Saul, You have acted foolishly that you have not kept the command of Jehovah your God which He commanded you. For now Jehovah would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

gltv@1Samuel:13:14 @ But now your kingdom shall not stand. Jehovah has sought out for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Jehovah has appointed him as leader over His people. For you have not kept that which Jehovah commanded you.

gltv@1Samuel:14:7 @ And his armorbearer said to him, Do all that is in your heart; turn yourself. Behold, I am with you according to your heart.

gltv@1Samuel:14:8 @ And Jonathan said, Behold, we will cross over to the men and show ourselves to them.

gltv@1Samuel:14:9 @ If they say this to us, Stand still until we reach you, then we will stand in our place and not go up to them.

gltv@1Samuel:14:10 @ But if they say this, Come up to us, then we will go up, for Jehovah has given them into our hand; and this will be the sign for us.

gltv@1Samuel:14:19 @ And it happened while Saul spoke to the priest, that the turmoil which was in the camp, even the Philistines went on, going and increasing. And Saul said to the priest, Withdraw your hand.

gltv@1Samuel:14:28 @ And one of the people answered and said, Your father certainly took an oath of the people, saying, Cursed shall be the man who eats food today. And the people were weak.

gltv@1Samuel:14:34 @ And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people and say to them, Each one bring his ox near to me, and each his sheep, and you slaughter here, and eat; and you shall not sin against Jehovah, to eat with the blood. And each of all the people brought near his ox in his hand that night, and they slaughtered there.

gltv@1Samuel:14:36 @ And Saul said Let us go down after the Philistines by night and plunder them until the morning light, and not a man remains among them. And they said, Do all that is good in your eyes. And the priest said, Let us draw near here to God.

gltv@1Samuel:14:40 @ And he said to all Israel, You be on one side, and my son Jonathan and I will be on another side. And the people said to Saul, Do that which is good in your eyes.

gltv@1Samuel:15:15 @ And Saul said, They have brought them from Amalek, because the people had pity on the best of the flock, and of the herd, in order to sacrifice to Jehovah your God. And the rest we have exterminated.

gltv@1Samuel:15:17 @ And Samuel said, Were you not, even you, little in your own eyes before becoming leader of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed you as king over Israel.

gltv@1Samuel:15:21 @ And the people took from the spoil of the flock, and the first of the herd, that devoted, to sacrifice to Jehovah your God in Gilgal.

gltv@1Samuel:15:24 @ And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, for I have transgressed the mouth of Jehovah and your word, because I feared the people, and I listened to their voice.

gltv@1Samuel:15:28 @ And Samuel said to him, Jehovah has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to your neighbor who is better than you.

gltv@1Samuel:15:30 @ And he said, I have sinned. Honor me now, I beg you, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and return with me. And I shall worship Jehovah your God.

gltv@1Samuel:15:33 @ And Samuel said, As your sword has bereaved women of children, so shall your mother be bereft among women. And Samuel cut Agag in pieces before Jehovah in Gilgal.

gltv@1Samuel:15:35 @ And Samuel never again saw Saul until the day of his death, for Samuel mourned for Saul. And Jehovah repented that He had caused Saul to reign over Israel.

gltv@1Samuel:16:1 @ And Jehovah said to Samuel, Until when will you mourn for Saul, for I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have seen a king for Me among his sons.

gltv@1Samuel:16:2 @ And Samuel said, How can I go? When Saul hears, then he will kill me. And Jehovah said, You shall take a heifer from the herd in your hand, and shall say, I have come to sacrifice to Jehovah.

gltv@1Samuel:16:5 @ And he said, Peace! I have come to sacrifice to Jehovah. Sanctify yourselves and you shall come to me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

gltv@1Samuel:16:16 @ Please let our lord say to your servants before you, let them seek out a man who knows how to play on the harp. And it shall be, when the evil spirit from God is upon you, then he shall play with his hand, and it shall be well with you.

gltv@1Samuel:16:19 @ And Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said, Send your son David to me, who is with the flock.

gltv@1Samuel:17:8 @ And he stood and called to the ranks of Israel, and said to them, Why do you come out to set in order the battle? Am I not the Philistine, and you Saul's servants? Choose one of yourselves, and let him come to me.

gltv@1Samuel:17:17 @ And Jesse said to his son David, Please take to your brothers an ephah of this roasted grain and these ten loaves, and run to the camp, to your brothers.

gltv@1Samuel:17:18 @ And you shall take these ten cuttings of cheese to the commander of the thousand, and you shall visit your brothers, as to how they fare. And you shall bring their token.

gltv@1Samuel:17:28 @ And his eldest brother Eliab heard when he spoke to the men. And Eliab's anger burned against David. And he said, Why is it you have come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the evil of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.

gltv@1Samuel:17:32 @ And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and will fight with this Philistine.

gltv@1Samuel:17:34 @ And David said to Saul, Your servant has been a shepherd among sheep for his father. And the lion came, and the bear, and took away a sheep out of the flock.

gltv@1Samuel:17:36 @ Your servant has struck both the lion and the bear, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, for he has reproached the armies of the living God.

gltv@1Samuel:17:44 @ And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the field.

gltv@1Samuel:17:46 @ Today Jehovah shall shut you up into my hand, and I shall strike you, and take off your head from you and give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the earth today. And all the earth shall know that there is a God for Israel.

gltv@1Samuel:17:47 @ And all this company shall know that Jehovah does not save by sword and by spear, but that the battle belongs to Jehovah, and He has given you into our hand.

gltv@1Samuel:17:55 @ And when Saul saw David going out to meet the Philistine, he said to Abner, the army commander, Whose son is this youth, Abner? And Abner said, As your soul lives, O king, I do not know.

gltv@1Samuel:17:58 @ And Saul said to him, Whose son are you, boy? And David said, The son of your servant Jesse, the Bethlehemite.

gltv@1Samuel:18:6 @ And it happened as they came in, as David returned from striking the Philistine, the women came out from all the cities of Israel to sing with the dancers, to meet Saul the king with tambourines and with joy and three-stringed instruments.

gltv@1Samuel:18:23 @ And Saul's servants spoke these words in David's ears. And David said, Is it a light thing in your eyes to be son-in-law to the king? And I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed.

gltv@1Samuel:19:11 @ And Saul sent messengers to David's house to watch him, and to kill him in the morning. And his wife Michal told David, saying, If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.

gltv@1Samuel:20:1 @ And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? What is my iniquity, and what my sin before your father, that he is seeking my life?

gltv@1Samuel:20:3 @ And David again swore and said, Your father has certainly known that I have found favor in your eyes; and he said, Do not let Jonathan know this, that he not be grieved. And yet, as Jehovah lives, and your soul lives, there is only a step between me and death.

gltv@1Samuel:20:4 @ And Jonathan said to David, What your soul may say, I also will do for you.

gltv@1Samuel:20:6 @ If your father at all looks for me, then you shall say, David asked earnestly of me to run to his city Bethlehem; for the yearly sacrifice is there for all the family.

gltv@1Samuel:20:7 @ If he shall say so, Good! Peace shall be for your servant. But if it burns him greatly, know that evil has been determined by him.

gltv@1Samuel:20:8 @ And you shall do kindness to your servant, for you have brought your servant with you into a covenant of Jehovah. And if there is iniquity in me, you kill me. For why is this, that you bring me to your father?

gltv@1Samuel:20:10 @ Then David said to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? Or what if your father answers harshly?

gltv@1Samuel:20:12 @ And Jonathan said to David, Jehovah the God of Israel be witness when I search my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, and behold, there is good toward David, and I do not send to you, and do not reveal it in your ear.

gltv@1Samuel:20:13 @ So may Jehovah do to Jonathan, and do much more than this, if it should seem good to my father to do evil to you, then I will reveal it in your ear and send you away. And you shall go in peace; and may Jehovah be with you, as He was with my father.

gltv@1Samuel:20:15 @ but you shall not cut off your kindness from my house forever, not even when Jehovah cuts off the enemies of David, each one from off the face of the earth.

gltv@1Samuel:20:18 @ And Jonathan said to him, Tomorrow is the new moon, and you shall be expected, for your seat will be empty.

gltv@1Samuel:20:29 @ And he said, Please send me away, for we have a family sacrifice in the city, and my brother commanded me. And now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me be released, and to see my brothers. So he has not come to the table of the king.

gltv@1Samuel:20:30 @ And the anger of Saul glowed against Jonathan. And he said to him, Son of a perverse rebelliousness! Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your shame, and to the shame of the nakedness of your mother?

gltv@1Samuel:20:31 @ For as long as the son of Jesse lives on earth you shall not be established, you and your kingdom. And now send and bring him to me, for he is a son of death.

gltv@1Samuel:20:42 @ And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, because we have sworn, the two of us, in the name of Jehovah, saying, Jehovah shall be between you and me, and between my seed and your seed forever. And he rose up and went. And Jonathan went into the city.

gltv@1Samuel:21:1 @ And David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech trembled at meeting David, and said to him, Why are you by yourself, and no man with you?

gltv@1Samuel:21:3 @ And now, what is there under your hand? Give five loaves into my hand, or whatever is found.

gltv@1Samuel:21:8 @ And David said to Ahimelech, Is there not here under your hand spear or sword? For I have taken neither my sword or my weapons, for the king's matter was urgent.

gltv@1Samuel:21:9 @ And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck in the valley of Elah; behold, it is wrapped in the cloak behind the ephod. If you desire, take it for yourself; for there is no other here except it. And David said, There is none like it. Give it to me.

gltv@1Samuel:22:2 @ And every man in distress, and every man who had a creditor, and every man bitter of soul, gathered themselves to him. And he became commander over them. And about four hundred men were with him.

gltv@1Samuel:22:13 @ And Saul said to him, Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse by your giving bread and a sword to him, and to ask of God for him, to rise up against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

gltv@1Samuel:22:14 @ And Ahimelech answered the king and said, And who among all your servants is as David the faithful, and son-in-law of the king; who does your bidding, and is honorable in all your house?

gltv@1Samuel:22:15 @ Have I today begun to ask of God for him? Far be it from me! Do not let the king lay anything against his servant, against any of my father's house, for your servant has known nothing of this, more or less.

gltv@1Samuel:22:16 @ And the king said, You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and your father's house.

gltv@1Samuel:22:22 @ And David said to Abiathar, I knew on that day when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he certainly would tell Saul. I am accountable for all the lives of your father's house.

gltv@1Samuel:22:23 @ Stay with me. Do not fear. For he who seeks my life seeks your life. For with me you will be under protection.

gltv@1Samuel:23:4 @ And David once again inquired of Jehovah. And Jehovah answered him and said, Rise up, go down to Keilah, for I have given the Philistines into your hand.

gltv@1Samuel:23:10 @ And David said, O Jehovah the God of Israel, Your servant has surely heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city because of me.

gltv@1Samuel:23:11 @ Will the masters of Keilah shut me up into his hand? Will Saul come down as Your servant has heard? I pray You, Jehovah the God of Israel, tell your servant. And Jehovah said, He will come down.

gltv@1Samuel:23:20 @ And now, come down according to all the desires of your soul, O king. Come down, and our duty is to deliver him up into the king's hand.

gltv@1Samuel:24:4 @ And David's men said to him, Behold, the day of which Jehovah said to you, Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it is good in your eyes. But David rose up and quietly cut off the skirt of Saul's robe.

gltv@1Samuel:24:10 @ See, this day your eyes have seen how Jehovah has delivered you today into my hand in the cave. And one said to kill you, but I had pity on you. And I said, I shall not put out my hand against my lord, for he is the anointed of Jehovah.

gltv@1Samuel:24:11 @ And my father, behold! Yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand. For in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in my hand, and I have not sinned against you. Yet you are hunting my soul, to take it.

gltv@1Samuel:24:15 @ Yea, Jehovah shall be judge, and shall judge between you and me. Yea, He shall see and contend for my cause, and shall deliver me out of your hand.

gltv@1Samuel:24:16 @ And it happened, when David finished speaking these words to Saul, Saul said, Is this your voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice and wept.

gltv@1Samuel:24:18 @ And you have today shown that you have dealt well with me, in that Jehovah shut me up into your hand, and you did not kill me.

gltv@1Samuel:24:20 @ And now, behold, I know that you shall certainly reign, and the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.

gltv@1Samuel:25:1 @ And Samuel died, and all Israel was gathered, and mourned for him. And they buried him in his house, in Ramah. And David rose up and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

gltv@1Samuel:25:6 @ And say this, Long life and peace to you! And peace to your house, and peace to all that you have.

gltv@1Samuel:25:7 @ And now, I have heard that you have shearers. And your shepherds have been with us; we have not shamed them, nor was anything missing to them all the days they were in Carmel.

gltv@1Samuel:25:8 @ Ask your young men, and they will tell you. And may the young men find favor in your eyes, for we have come at a good day. Please give that which your hand finds to your servants, and to your son, to David.

gltv@1Samuel:25:13 @ And David said to his men, Each man gird on his sword. And David also girded on his sword. And about four hundred men went up after David and two hundred stayed by the baggage.

gltv@1Samuel:25:14 @ And one young man of the youths told Abigail the wife of Nabal, saying, Behold, David has sent messengers out of the wilderness to bless our lord, and he screamed at them.

gltv@1Samuel:25:17 @ And now, know and consider what you should do; for evil has been determined against our lord, and on all his house. And he is a son of worthlessness, no one can speak to him.

gltv@1Samuel:25:24 @ And she fell at his feet and said, On me, even me, my lord, be the iniquity. And I beg you, let your handmaid speak in your ears; and hear the words of your handmaid.

gltv@1Samuel:25:25 @ I beg you, do not let my lord set his heart toward this man of worthlessness, on Nabal. For as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and foolishness is with him. And I, your handmaid, did not see the young men of my lord whom you sent.

gltv@1Samuel:25:26 @ And now, my lord, as Jehovah lives, and as your soul lives, in that Jehovah has withheld you from coming in with blood, and delivering your hand for you; even now let your enemies be as Nabal, even those seeking evil to my lord.

gltv@1Samuel:25:27 @ And now this blessing which your handmaid has brought to my lord, even let it be given to the young men who go after my lord.

gltv@1Samuel:25:28 @ I beg you, bear with the transgression of your handmaid, for Jehovah shall certainly make a sure house for my lord. For my lord has fought the battles of Jehovah, and evil has not been found in you all your days.

gltv@1Samuel:25:29 @ And if a man rises up to pursue you, and to seek your soul (and the soul of my lord has been bound up in the bundle of life with Jehovah your God). And the souls of your enemies, He shall sling them from the hollow of the sling.

gltv@1Samuel:25:31 @ that this shall not be for a cause of staggering, or of stumbling of heart to my lord, either to shed blood for nothing, or that my lord saved himself. And may Jehovah do good to my lord, and you remember your handmaid.

gltv@1Samuel:25:33 @ And blessed is your discernment. And blessed are you in that you have kept me from coming in with blood this day, and from delivering myself with my own hand.

gltv@1Samuel:25:35 @ And David received from her hand what she had brought to him. And he said to her, Go in peace to your house. See, I have heard your voice, and have accepted your face.

gltv@1Samuel:25:41 @ And she rose up and bowed her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let your handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

gltv@1Samuel:26:8 @ And Abishai said to David, God has shut up your enemy into your hand today. And now, I beg you, let me strike him with a spear, even to the earth one time, and I will not repeat it to him.

gltv@1Samuel:26:10 @ And David said, As Jehovah lives, except Jehovah strike him, or his day shall come and he dies, or he goes down and is devoured in battle,

gltv@1Samuel:26:15 @ And David said to Abner, Are you not a man? And who is like you in Israel? But why have you not watched over your lord the king? For one of the people came in to destroy your lord the king.

gltv@1Samuel:26:16 @ This thing which you have done is not good. As Jehovah lives, you also are sons of death, in that you have not watched over your lord, over the anointed of Jehovah. And now, see where the king's spear is, and the jar of water which was at his head-place?

gltv@1Samuel:26:17 @ And Saul recognized the voice of David, and said, Is this your voice, my son David? And David said, My voice, my lord, O king!

gltv@1Samuel:26:21 @ And Saul said, I have sinned. Return, my son David, for I shall not do evil to you any more, because my life has been precious in your eyes today. Behold, I have acted foolishly, and I have erred exceedingly much.

gltv@1Samuel:26:24 @ And behold, as your life has been highly esteemed in my eyes today, so let my soul he highly esteemed in the eyes of Jehovah. And may He deliver me out of all distress.

gltv@1Samuel:27:5 @ And David said to Achish, Please, if I have found favor in your eyes, they shall give to me a place in one of the cities of the field, and I shall live there. Yea, why should your servant live in the royal city with you?

gltv@1Samuel:27:7 @ And the number of days which David lived in the field of the Philistines was a year and four months.

gltv@1Samuel:28:1 @ And in those days it happened that the Philistines gathered their armies for warfare, to fight against Israel. And Achish said to David, You shall surely go out with me in the army, you and our men.

gltv@1Samuel:28:2 @ And David said to Achish, By this you shall know that which your servant will do. And Achish said to David, Then I appoint you keeper of my head all the days.

gltv@1Samuel:28:3 @ And Samuel was dead. And all Israel had mourned for him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his city. And Saul had taken away the mediums and spiritists out of the land.

gltv@1Samuel:28:16 @ And Samuel said, And why do you ask me, since Jehovah has departed from you and is your foe?

gltv@1Samuel:28:17 @ And Jehovah is doing for Himself as He spoke by my hand. And Jehovah is tearing the kingdom out of your hand, and is giving it to your neighbor, to David.

gltv@1Samuel:28:19 @ Yea, Jehovah is also giving Israel into the hand of the Philistines along with you. And tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. And Jehovah will give the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

gltv@1Samuel:28:21 @ And the woman came to Saul. And she saw that he was greatly distressed, and said to him, Behold, your servant has listened to your voice, and I put my life in my hand, and I obeyed your words which you spoke to me.

gltv@1Samuel:28:22 @ And now I beg you, you also listen to the voice of your servant, and I will set before you a bit of bread; and eat, and there will be strength in you when you go on your way.

gltv@1Samuel:28:24 @ And the woman had a fat calf in the house. And she hurried and slaughtered it, and took flour, and kneaded it, and baked unleavened cakes of it.

gltv@1Samuel:29:6 @ And Achish called David and said to him, As Jehovah lives, Surely you are upright and good in my eyes in your going out and in your coming in with me in the camp. For I have not found evil in you from the day of your coming in to me until today. But you are not good in the eyes of the rulers.

gltv@1Samuel:29:8 @ And David said to Achish, But what have I done? And what have you found in your servant from the day that I have been in your presence until today, that I may not go in and fight against the enemies of my lord the king?

gltv@1Samuel:29:10 @ And now, you and the servants of your lord who have come with you rise early in the morning. When you have light, then go.

gltv@1Samuel:30:10 @ And David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred men stood, who were too exhausted to pass over the torrent Besor.

gltv@1Samuel:30:17 @ And David struck them from the twilight even to the evening of the next day. And not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled.

gltv@1Samuel:30:23 @ And David said, You shall not do so, my brothers, with that which Jehovah has given to us. And He has protected us, and has given the troop which came against us into our hand.

gltv@1Samuel:31:4 @ And Saul said to his armorbearer, Draw your sword and thrust it through me, lest come these uncircumcised ones and thrust it through me and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. So Saul took the sword and fell on it.

gltv@2Samuel:1:12 @ And they mourned and wept and fasted until the evening, for Saul, and for his son Jonathan, and for the people of Jehovah, and for the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.

gltv@2Samuel:1:14 @ And David said to him, Why were you not afraid to put forth your hand to destroy the anointed of Jehovah?

gltv@2Samuel:1:16 @ And David said to him, Your blood be on your own head, for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I put to death the anointed of Jehovah.

gltv@2Samuel:1:19 @ The beauty of Israel is slain on your high places. How are the mighty fallen!

gltv@2Samuel:1:24 @ Daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you with scarlet delights, who put ornaments of gold on your clothing.

gltv@2Samuel:1:25 @ How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain on your high places!

gltv@2Samuel:1:26 @ I am distressed over you, my brother Jonathan. You were very delightful to me; your love was wonderful to me, more than the love of women.

gltv@2Samuel:2:5 @ And David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said to them, Blessed are you of Jehovah, in that you have done this kindness with your lord, with Saul, that you have buried him.

gltv@2Samuel:2:7 @ And now, let your hands be made strong, and be valiant; for your lord Saul is dead. And also, the house of Judah has anointed me as king over them.

gltv@2Samuel:2:21 @ And Abner said to him, Turn aside to your right, or to your left, and seize one of the young men for yourself, and take his spoil for yourself. And Asahel was not willing to turn aside from following him.

gltv@2Samuel:2:22 @ And Abner said again to Asahel, Turn aside from following me. Why should I strike you to the earth? And how shall I lift up my face to your brother Joab?

gltv@2Samuel:2:26 @ And Abner called to Joab, and said, Does the sword devour forever? Do you not know that it will be bitter in the end? And until when will you say to the people to turn back from after their brothers?

gltv@2Samuel:3:4 @ And the fourth was Adonijah the son of Haggith. And the fifth was Shephatiah the son of Abital.

gltv@2Samuel:3:8 @ And Abner was exceedingly angry over the words of Ishbosheth. And he said, Am I a dog's head, that I deal with kindness with the house of your father Saul in regards to Judah today, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not caused you to be found in the hand of David, and you charge a stroke against me with this woman today?

gltv@1Kings:1:12 @ And now, come, please let me counsel you with counsel, and save your life, and the life of your son Solomon.

gltv@1Kings:1:13 @ Go up and go in to king David. And you shall say to him, My lord, O king, have you not sworn to your handmaid, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne? And why does Adonijah reign?

gltv@1Kings:1:14 @ Behold, while you are speaking with the king, then I will come in after you and will confirm your words.

gltv@1Kings:1:17 @ And she said to him, My lord, you have sworn to your handmaid by Jehovah your God, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.

gltv@1Kings:1:19 @ And he sacrifices oxen, and fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king's sons, and Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army. But he has not called to your servant Solomon.

gltv@1Kings:1:26 @ But as for me, I, your servant, and for Zadok the priest, and for Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and for your servant Solomon, he has not called.

gltv@1Kings:1:27 @ If this thing is to come about from my lord the king, then you have not caused your servant to know who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

gltv@1Kings:1:30 @ surely as I swore to you by Jehovah, the God of Israel, saying, Surely your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place; surely so I will do this day.

gltv@1Kings:1:33 @ And the king said to them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and you shall cause my son Solomon to ride on my mule, and cause him to go down to Gihon.

gltv@1Kings:1:43 @ And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Truly our lord, king David, has caused Solomon to reign.

gltv@1Kings:1:47 @ And also the king's servants have come in to bless our lord, king David, saying, Your God shall make the name of Solomon better than your name, and his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed himself on the bed.

gltv@1Kings:1:53 @ And king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came in and bowed to king Solomon. And Solomon said to him, Go to your house.

gltv@1Kings:2:3 @ and keep the charge of Jehovah your God, to walk in His ways, to keep statutes, His commands, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you may do wisely all that you do, and there wherever you may turn,

gltv@1Kings:2:4 @ so that Jehovah may establish His word which He spoke to me, saying, If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul, saying, There shall not be a man to you cut off from the throne of Israel.

gltv@1Kings:2:6 @ and you shall do according to your wisdom, and shall not let his gray hair go down to Sheol in peace.

gltv@1Kings:2:7 @ You shall be merciful to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and they shall be among those eating at your table, for so they drew near to me when I fled from the face of your brother Absalom.

gltv@1Kings:2:16 @ And now I am asking one petition of you. Do not turn away your face. And she said to him, Speak.

gltv@1Kings:2:17 @ And he said, Please speak to king Solomon, for he will not turn away your face, that he give to me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife.

gltv@1Kings:2:20 @ And she said, I ask one small petition of you. Do not turn away my face. And the king said to her, Ask, my mother, for I will not turn away your face.

gltv@1Kings:2:21 @ And she said, let Abishag the Shunammite be given to your brother Adonijah for a wife.

gltv@1Kings:2:26 @ And the king said to Abiathar the priest, Go to Anathoth, to your fields. For you are deserving of death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you have borne the ark of the Lord Jehovah before my father David, and because you were afflicted in all the things with which my father was afflicted.

gltv@1Kings:2:36 @ And the king sent and called Shimei and said to him, Build a house for yourself in Jerusalem and live there, and do not go out from there anywhere.

gltv@1Kings:2:37 @ And it shall be, in the day you go out and cross the torrent Kidron, you shall certainly know that dying you shall die; your blood shall be on your head.

gltv@1Kings:2:38 @ And Shimei said to the king, The word is good. As my lord the king has spoken, so your servant shall do. And Shimei lived in Jerusalem many days.

gltv@1Kings:2:39 @ And it happened at the end of three years, two of Shimei's servants fled to Achish the son of Maachah, the king of Gath. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, your servants are in Gath.

gltv@1Kings:2:44 @ And the king said to Shimei, You shall know all the evil that your heart has known, that which you did to my father David. Now Jehovah has turned back your evil on your head.

gltv@1Kings:3:6 @ And Solomon said, You have shown great kindness to Your servant, my father David, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness and in uprightness of heart with You. And You have kept for him this great kindness, and have given to him a son sitting on his throne, as today.

gltv@1Kings:3:7 @ And now, O Jehovah my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David. And I am a little man-child; I do not know to go out and to come in.

gltv@1Kings:3:8 @ And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a numerous people that cannot be numbered or counted for multitude.

gltv@1Kings:3:9 @ Also give to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this, Your great people?

gltv@1Kings:3:11 @ And God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself many days, nor asked riches for yourself, nor asked the life of your enemies, and have asked for discernment for yourself, to understand judgment,

gltv@1Kings:3:12 @ behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given to you a wise and understanding heart, so that there was none like you before you, and after you none shall rise up like you.

gltv@1Kings:3:13 @ And also, I have given you that which you have not asked, both riches and honor, that there shall not be a man like you among the kings all your days.

gltv@1Kings:3:14 @ And if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commands, as your father David walked, then I will prolong your days.

gltv@1Kings:3:20 @ And she rose up in the middle of the night and took my son from beside me and laid it in her bosom; and your handmaid was asleep. And she laid her dead son in my bosom.

gltv@1Kings:3:22 @ And the other woman said, No, but my son is the living, and your son the dead. And this one said, No, but your son is dead, and my son the living. And they spoke before the king.

gltv@1Kings:3:23 @ And the king said, This one says, This is my son, the living one, and your son the dead. And that one says, No, but your son is the dead, and my son the living.

gltv@1Kings:3:26 @ And the woman whose son was the living one said to the king (for her womb yearned over her son) yea, she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and do not at all put it to death. And this one said, Let it be neither yours or mine, divide it.

gltv@1Kings:4:22 @ And Solomon's food for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal,

gltv@1Kings:5:5 @ And, behold, I am commanding a house to be built to the name of Jehovah my God, as Jehovah spoke to my father David, saying, Your son whom I will appoint in your place on your throne, he shall build the house for My name.

gltv@1Kings:5:6 @ And now, command and they shall cut down for me cedars out of Lebanon. And my servants shall be with your servants. And I will give you hire for your servants according to all that you say. For you know that there is not a man among us knowing to cut timber like the Sidonians.

gltv@1Kings:5:8 @ And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have heard that for which you have sent to me. I will do all your will as to cedar wood and fir wood.

gltv@1Kings:5:14 @ And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses. They were a month in Lebanon, two months in their own house. And Adoniram was over the labor force.

gltv@1Kings:6:1 @ And it happened in the four hundred and eightieth year from the exodus of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year, in the month of Zif, it is the second month, in the reigning of Solomon over Israel he built the house for Jehovah.

gltv@1Kings:6:12 @ As to this house that you are building, if you shall walk in My statutes, and shall do My judgments, and shall do all My commandments, to walk in them, then I shall establish your word with you which I spoke to your father David.

gltv@1Kings:6:18 @ And the cedar for the house inside was with carvings of gourds and flowers spread out; the whole was cedar; not a stone was seen.

gltv@1Kings:6:33 @ So also he made side post for the entrance of the temple from the olive tree, a fourth part.

gltv@1Kings:6:36 @ And he built the inner court, three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams.

gltv@1Kings:6:37 @ The house of Jehovah was founded in the fourth year, in the month of Zif.

gltv@1Kings:7:2 @ And he built the house of the forest of Lebanon. Its length was a hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits on four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars.

gltv@1Kings:7:8 @ As to his house where he lived, the other court was within the porch, as this work was. Solomon also made a house for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken, like this porch.

gltv@1Kings:7:9 @ And these were of costly stone according to the measures of hewn stones, sawed with a saw, inside and out, even from the foundation to the coping, and from the outside, to the great court.

gltv@1Kings:7:12 @ And the great court all around was three rows of hewn stone and a row of cedar beams, even for the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and for the porch of the house.

gltv@1Kings:7:19 @ And the capitals on the top of the pillars in the porch were lily-work, four cubits.

gltv@1Kings:7:24 @ And gourds were below its brim all around, going around it, ten by the cubit, circling the sea all around; the gourds were cast in two rows when it was cast.

gltv@1Kings:7:27 @ And he made ten bases of bronze; four cubits the length of the one base, and four cubits the breadth, and three cubits the height.

gltv@1Kings:7:30 @ And the one base had four wheels of bronze, and axles of bronze. And its four feet were supports to them; under the basin were casted supports with wreaths at each side.

gltv@1Kings:7:32 @ And the four wheels were under the borders. And the hands of the wheels were in the base; and the height of the one wheel was a cubit and a half.

gltv@1Kings:7:34 @ And there were four supports to the four corners of one base; the supports were of the base itself.

gltv@1Kings:7:38 @ And he made ten basins of bronze; the one basin contained forty baths. The one basin was four cubits, one basin on the one base, to the ten bases.

gltv@1Kings:7:42 @ and the four hundred pomegranates for the two gratings, two rows of pomegranates for each grating, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars;

gltv@1Kings:8:18 @ and Jehovah said to my father David, Because it has been in your heart to build a house for My name, you have done well that it has been in your heart;

gltv@1Kings:8:19 @ only, you shall not build the house, but your son who shall come out from your loins, he shall build the house for My name.

gltv@1Kings:8:21 @ and set there a place for the ark, in which is the covenant of Jehovah which He made with our fathers when He brought them out from the land of Egypt.

gltv@1Kings:8:23 @ and said, Jehovah, God of Israel, there is no God like You in the heavens above or on the earth beneath; who keeps covenant and mercy with Your servants that walk before You with all their heart;

gltv@1Kings:8:24 @ Who have kept for Your servant David, my father, that which You spoke to him; yea, You spoke with Your mouth, and with Your hand have fulfilled it as it is this day.

gltv@1Kings:8:25 @ And now, Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Your servant David, my father, that which You spoke to him, saying, There shall not be cut off from you a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel; only, if your sons watch their way, to walk before Me as you have walked before Me.

gltv@1Kings:8:26 @ And now, O God of Israel, let it be established, I beseech You, Your word which You have spoken to Your servant, my father David.

gltv@1Kings:8:28 @ Yet You have turned toward the prayer of Your servant, and to his supplication, O Jehovah my God, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today;

gltv@1Kings:8:29 @ for Your eyes are open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You have said, My name shall be there; to listen to the prayer which Your servant prays toward this place.

gltv@1Kings:8:30 @ And You shall listen to the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel when they shall pray toward this place; yea, You shall listen in Your dwelling-place, in Heaven; and You shall hear and shall forgive.

gltv@1Kings:8:31 @ If any man sins against his neighbor, and an oath be exacted of him to cause him to swear, and the oath has come before Your altar in this house,

gltv@1Kings:8:32 @ then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall act, and shall judge Your servants, to declare the wicked to be wicked, to put his way on his head, and to declare the righteous to be righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

gltv@1Kings:8:33 @ When Your people Israel are stricken before the enemy, when they sin against You, if they turn again to You, and confess Your name, and pray and make supplication to You in this house;

gltv@1Kings:8:34 @ then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and shall bring them back to the land that You gave to their fathers.

gltv@1Kings:8:35 @ When the heavens are restrained, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against You, and they have prayed toward this place, and confess Your name, and have turned from their sin because You have afflicted them,

gltv@1Kings:8:36 @ then You shall hear in Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your servants, and of Your people Israel, for You shall teach them the good way in which they shall go, and shall give rain on Your land which You have given to Your people for an inheritance.

gltv@1Kings:8:38 @ any prayer, any supplication that shall come from any man of all of Your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and shall spread his palms toward this house,

gltv@1Kings:8:39 @ then You shall hear in Heaven Your dwellingplace and shall forgive and shall act, and shall give to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You have known, You alone, the heart of all the sons of Adam),

gltv@1Kings:8:40 @ so that they shall fear You all the days that they are living on the face of the land that You have given to our fathers.

gltv@1Kings:8:41 @ And also, to the alien who is not of Your people Israel, and has come from a land afar off for Your name's sake,

gltv@1Kings:8:42 @ (for they shall hear of Your great name, and of Your strong hand, and of Your stretched out arm, and he shall have come in and prayed toward this house,)

gltv@1Kings:8:43 @ You shall hear in Heaven, Your dwellingplace, and shall do according to all that the stranger calls to You for, so that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have built.

gltv@1Kings:8:44 @ If Your people shall go out to battle against its enemy, in the way that You have sent them, and they have prayed to Jehovah the way of the city which You have chosen, and of the house which I have built for Your name,

gltv@1Kings:8:48 @ and, they have turned back to You with all their heart, and with all the their soul, in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and have prayed to You the way of their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name,

gltv@1Kings:8:49 @ then You shall hear their prayer and their supplication in Heaven Your dwellingplace, and shall maintain their cause,

gltv@1Kings:8:50 @ and shall forgive Your people who have sinned against You, even all their transgressions which they have transgressed against You, and shall give them mercy before their captors, and they shall have mercy on them.

gltv@1Kings:8:51 @ For they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out of Egypt, out of the midst of the furnace of iron;

gltv@1Kings:8:52 @ for Your eyes shall be open to the supplication of Your servant, and to the supplication of Your people Israel, to listen to them in all that they call to You for;

gltv@1Kings:8:53 @ for You have separated them to Yourself for an inheritance out of all the peoples of the earth, as You spoke by the hand of Your servant Moses when You brought out our fathers from Egypt, O Lord Jehovah.

gltv@1Kings:8:57 @ Jehovah our God is with us as He has been with our fathers; He shall not forsake us or leave us,

gltv@1Kings:8:58 @ to incline our heart to Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and His statutes, and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers;

gltv@1Kings:8:59 @ and these words of mine which I have prayed before Jehovah be near to Jehovah our God by day and by night, to maintain the cause of His servant, and the cause of His people Israel, the matter of each day in its day;

gltv@1Kings:8:61 @ let your heart therefore be perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments, as at this day.

gltv@1Kings:8:64 @ On that day the king sanctified the middle of the court that was before the house of Jehovah, for he had made the burnt offering there, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings; because the bronze altar that was before Jehovah was too small to contain the burnt offering, and the food offering, and the fat of the peace offerings.

gltv@1Kings:8:65 @ And at that time Solomon made a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before Jehovah our God, seven days and seven days, fourteen days.

gltv@1Kings:9:3 @ And Jehovah said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which you have made supplication before Me; I have sanctified this house that you have built to put My name there forever; and My eyes and My heart shall be there forever.

gltv@1Kings:9:4 @ And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, in singleness of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you; you shall keep My statutes and My judgments;

gltv@1Kings:9:5 @ then I shall establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I spoke to your father David, saying, there shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.

gltv@1Kings:9:6 @ If you at all turn back, you and your sons, from following me, and do not keep My commands, My statutes which I have set before you, and you shall go and serve other gods and bow yourselves to them,

gltv@1Kings:9:28 @ and they came to Ophir and took gold from there, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it in to king Solomon.

gltv@1Kings:10:6 @ And she said to the king, The word that I heard in my land was true as to your matters and your wisdom.

gltv@1Kings:10:8 @ Oh the happiness of your men! Oh the happiness of your servants, these who stand before you continually, who hear your wisdom!

gltv@1Kings:10:9 @ Blessed be Jehovah your God who delighted in you, to put you on the throne of Israel, because Jehovah loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do judgment and righteousness.

gltv@1Kings:10:26 @ And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen, and he had a thousand, four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; and he placed them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem.

gltv@1Kings:11:2 @ of the nations which Jehovah said to the sons of Israel, You shall not go in to them, and they shall not go in to you; surely they shall turn aside your heart after their gods; Solomon clung to these in love.

gltv@1Kings:11:11 @ And Jehovah said to Solomon, Because this has been done by you, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes that I charged on you, I shall surely tear the kingdom from you and shall give it to your servant.

gltv@1Kings:11:12 @ Only, I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David; I shall tear it out of your son's hand.

gltv@1Kings:11:13 @ Only I will not tear away all the kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for my servant David's sake, and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen.

gltv@1Kings:11:22 @ And Pharaoh said to him, But what are you lacking with me, that, lo, you are seeking to go to your land? And he said, Nothing. However, you shall certainly send me away.

gltv@1Kings:11:31 @ And he said to Jeroboam, Take ten pieces for yourself. For so says Jehovah, God of Israel, Behold, I am tearing the kingdom from the hand of Solomon and giving to you the ten tribes.

gltv@1Kings:11:37 @ And I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.

gltv@1Kings:12:4 @ Your father made our yoke hard; and now you should lighten some of the hard service of your father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve you.

gltv@1Kings:12:9 @ And he said to them, What do you advise, and we shall answer the people who have spoken to me, saying, Lighten some of the yoke that your father put upon us?

gltv@1Kings:12:10 @ And they spoke to him, the young men who had grown up with him, saying, So you shall say to this people who have spoken to you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, and you make it light on us; so you shall speak to them, My little finger is thicker than the loins of my father,

gltv@1Kings:12:11 @ and now my father laid a heavy yoke on you, and I will add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, and I will surely chastise you with scorpions.

gltv@1Kings:12:14 @ and spoke to them according to the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I shall add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, and I will surely chastise you with scorpions.

gltv@1Kings:12:16 @ And all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, and the people sent the king back word, saying, What portion do we have in David? Yea, there is no inheritance in the son of Jesse; to your tents, O Israel; now see to your house, O David! And Israel went to its tents.

gltv@1Kings:12:24 @ So says Jehovah, You shall not go up nor fight with your brothers the sons of Israel. Each turn back to his house, for this thing has been from Me. And they heard the word of Jehovah, and turned to go back, according to the word of Jehovah.

gltv@1Kings:12:28 @ And the king took counsel and made two calves of gold. And he said to them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Behold your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt!

gltv@1Kings:13:3 @ And on that day he gave a sign, saying, This is the sign that Jehovah has spoken, Behold, the altar is torn, and the ashes that are on it poured out.

gltv@1Kings:13:5 @ And the altar was torn, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of Jehovah.

gltv@1Kings:13:6 @ And the king answered and said to the man of God, Please entreat the face of Jehovah your God, and pray for me, and my hand shall come back to me. And the man of God entreated the face of Jehovah, and the hand of the king came back to him, and it was as at the beginning.

gltv@1Kings:13:7 @ And the king spoke to the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh yourself, and I will give you a gift.

gltv@1Kings:13:8 @ And the man of God said to the king, If you would give me the half of your house, I would not go in with you, nor will I eat bread, nor will I drink water in this place.

gltv@1Kings:13:18 @ And he said to him, I also am a prophet like yourself, and an angel spoke to me by the word of Jehovah, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, and he shall eat bread and water (he lied to him).

gltv@1Kings:13:21 @ and he cried to the man of God who came from Judah, saying, So says Jehovah, Because you have resisted the mouth of Jehovah, and have not kept the command that Jehovah your God charged you,

gltv@1Kings:13:22 @ and turned back and ate bread and drank water in the place of which He said to you, You shall not eat bread nor drink water; your carcass shall not come to the burying place of your fathers.

gltv@1Kings:13:29 @ And the prophet took up the carcass of the man of God and placed it on the ass, and brought it back; and the old prophet came into the city to mourn and to bury him.

gltv@1Kings:13:30 @ And he placed his carcass in his own grave, and they mourned for him, O my brother!

gltv@1Kings:14:2 @ And Jeroboam said to his wife, Please rise up and disguise yourself, that you may not be known to be the wife of Jeroboam. And you shall go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there. He spoke to me of being king over this people.

gltv@1Kings:14:3 @ And you shall take ten loaves in your hand, and biscuits, and a flask of honey, and come to him. He will tell you what shall become of the boy.

gltv@1Kings:14:9 @ and you did evil above all who have been before you, and went and made for yourself other gods and molten images to provoke Me to anger; and you have cast Me behind your back

gltv@1Kings:14:12 @ And you, rise up, go to your house. When your feet enter the city, the boy shall die.

gltv@1Kings:14:13 @ And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him, for only this one of Jeroboam shall come to the grave because there has been found in him a good thing toward Jehovah, God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.

gltv@1Kings:14:18 @ And they buried him, and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of Jehovah that He spoke by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.

gltv@1Kings:15:19 @ A treaty between you and me, between my father and your father! Behold, I have sent you a present of silver and gold. Go, break your treaty with Baasha the king of Israel, that he go up from me.

gltv@1Kings:15:33 @ Inn the third year of Asa the king of Judah, Baasha the son of Ahijah reigned over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty four years.

gltv@1Kings:16:3 @ behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

gltv@1Kings:17:1 @ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

gltv@1Kings:17:11 @ And she went to bring it. And he called to her and said, Please bring me a bit of bread in your hand.

gltv@1Kings:17:12 @ And she said, As Jehovah your God lives, I do not have a cake, only a handful of meal in a pitcher, and a little oil in a jar; and behold, I am gathering two sticks and will go in and prepare for myself and for my son; and we shall eat it, and die.

gltv@1Kings:17:13 @ And Elijah said to her, Do not fear, go, do according to your word, only first make me a little cake of it, and bring to me and afterward prepare for you and for your son.

gltv@1Kings:17:19 @ And he said to her, Give me your son; and he took him out of her bosom, and caused him to go up into the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed.

gltv@1Kings:17:23 @ And Elijah took the boy and brought him down from the upper room of the house, and gave him to his mother; and Elijah said, See your son lives!

gltv@1Kings:17:24 @ And the woman said to Elijah, Now I know this, that you are a man of God, and the word of Jehovah in your mouth is truth.

gltv@1Kings:18:1 @ And it happened after many days the word of Jehovah came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will give rain on the face of the earth.

gltv@1Kings:18:11 @ And now, you are saying, Go, say to your lord, Behold, Elijah.

gltv@1Kings:18:12 @ And it shall be, I will go away from you, and the Spirit of Jehovah will lift you up, where I do not know, and I will come to tell Ahab, and he will not find you, and he will kill me. And your servant has feared Jehovah from my youth.

gltv@1Kings:18:18 @ And he answered, I have not disturbed Israel, but you and the house of your father, in that you have forsaken the commands of Jehovah, and you have gone after the Baals.

gltv@1Kings:18:19 @ And now send, gather all Israel to me, to Mount Carmel and four hundred and fifty of the prophets of Baal, and four hundred of the prophets of Asherah, who eat at the table of Jezebel.

gltv@1Kings:19:10 @ And he said, I have been very zealous for Jehovah the God of Hosts, for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant; they have thrown down Your altars, and they have killed Your prophets with the sword, and I am left, I alone, and they seek to take my life.

gltv@1Kings:19:14 @ And he said, I have been very zealous for Jehovah, God of Hosts for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant; they have thrown down Your altars, and they have slain Your prophets by the sword; and I, I alone, am left; and they seek to take my life.

gltv@1Kings:20:9 @ And he said to the messengers of Ben-hadad, Say to my lord the king, All that you sent for to your servant at the first, I will do; but this thing I am not able to do; and the messengers went and took word back to him.

gltv@1Kings:21:22 @ And I shall give up your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked to anger, and have caused Israel to sin.

gltv@2Kings:18:21 @ Now, behold, you have trusted for yourself on the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt, which if a man lean on it, it will go into his hand and pierce it! So is Pharaoh the king of Egypt to all those who trust in him.

gltv@2Kings:18:22 @ And when you say to me, We have trusted to Jehovah our God, is it not He whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, and has said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Before this altar you shall bow yourselves in Jerusalem?

gltv@2Kings:18:23 @ And, now, I ask you, exchange pledges for yourself to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will give to you two thousand horses if you are able to give for yourself riders on them.

gltv@2Kings:19:4 @ It may be that Jehovah your God will hear all the words of the chief cupbearer, with which his master the king of Assyria has sent him to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which Jehovah your God has heard; and you shall lift up prayer for the remnant that is found.

gltv@2Kings:19:27 @ But I have known your sitting down, and your going out, and your coming in, and your rage against Me.

gltv@2Kings:19:28 @ Because of your raging against Me, and because your arrogance has come up into My ears, even I will put My hook in your nose, and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way which you came.

gltv@2Chronicles:6:27 @ then You shall hear from Heaven, and shall forgive the sin of Your servants, and of Your people Israel, because You have taught them the good way in which they should walk, and have given rain on Your land that You have given to Your people for an inheritance.

gltv@2Chronicles:6:29 @ Whatever prayer, whatever supplication shall be made for any man, and for all Your people Israel, when they know each one his own plague, and his own grief, and he shall spread out his palms toward this house;

gltv@2Chronicles:6:40 @ Now, My God, I beseech You, let Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer of this place;

gltv@2Chronicles:34:16 @ And Shaphan brought the Book in to the king, and brought the king back word again, saying, All that has been given into the hand of your servants, they are doing.

gltv@2Chronicles:34:17 @ And they poured out the silver found in the house of Jehovah, and gave it into the hands of those appointed, and into the hands of those doing the work.

gltv@2Chronicles:34:21 @ Go, seek Jehovah for me and for him who is left in Israel and in Judah, as to the words of the book that has been found, for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is poured out on us, because our fathers have not kept the word of Jehovah, to do according to all that is written in this book.

gltv@2Chronicles:34:25 @ because they have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods so as to provoke Me with all the works of their hands; and My wrath shall be poured out on this place, and it shall not be quenched.

gltv@2Chronicles:34:27 @ Because your heart is tender, and you were humbled before God when you heard His words concerning this place, and concerning its inhabitants, and were humbled before Me, and have torn your garments and wept before Me; I have even heard also, says Jehovah.

gltv@2Chronicles:34:28 @ Behold I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes will not look upon all the evil I shall bring upon this place, and on its inhabitants. And they brought the king word again.

gltv@2Chronicles:35:1 @ And Josiah performed a Passover in Jerusalem to Jehovah, and they killed the passover offering on the fourteenth of the first month.

gltv@2Chronicles:35:3 @ and said to the Levites who were teaching all Israel, who were sanctified to Jehovah, Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David the king of Israel built; it shall not be a burden on your shoulders. Now serve Jehovah your God, and His people Israel,

gltv@2Chronicles:35:4 @ and prepare by the house of your fathers, according to your courses, by the writing of David the king of Israel, and by the writing of his son Solomon,

gltv@2Chronicles:35:5 @ and stand in the sanctuary, by the divisions of the house of the fathers of your brothers, the sons of the people, and the portion of the house of the father of the Levites;

gltv@2Chronicles:35:6 @ and kill the passover offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the word of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.

gltv@2Chronicles:35:10 @ And the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses, according to the command of the king.

gltv@2Chronicles:35:21 @ And he sent messengers to him, saying, What do I have to do with you, O king of Judah? I am not coming against you today, but toward the house with which I have war; and God said for me to hasten; stop yourself from opposing God, who is with me, and He shall not destroy you.

gltv@2Chronicles:35:24 @ And his servants passed him out from the chariot, and caused him to ride in a second chariot of his, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died and was buried in the graves of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem were mourning for Josiah.

gltv@Ezra:1:10 @ thirty basins of gold, four hundred and ten silver basins of a second kind, a thousand other vessels.

gltv@Ezra:1:11 @ All the vessels of gold and of silver (five thousand and four hundred) Sheshbazzar made to go up all when the exiled were caused to go up from Babylon to Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:2:7 @ The sons of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.

gltv@Ezra:2:15 @ The sons of Adin, four hundred and fifty four.

gltv@Ezra:2:31 @ The sons of the other Elam, a thousand, two hundred and fifty four.

gltv@Ezra:2:40 @ The Levites: The sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the sons of Hodaviah, seventy four.

gltv@Ezra:2:67 @ their camels four hundred and thirty five, their asses six thousand, seven hundred and twenty.

gltv@Ezra:4:2 @ then they came to Zerubbabel and to the head of the fathers and said to them, Let us build with you, for we seek your God, as you. And we have not sacrificed to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here.

gltv@Ezra:4:3 @ But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of the fathers of Israel said to them, It is not for you and for us to build a house to our God. But we ourselves will together build to Jehovah the God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.

gltv@Ezra:4:11 @ this is the copy of the letter which they sent to him, to Artaxerxes the king: Your servants, the men of the province Beyond the River, and now,

gltv@Ezra:4:15 @ so that he may search in the book of the records of your fathers, and you shall discover in the book of the records and shall know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful to kings and to provinces; and insurrection was stirred up in it in the past; for which reason this city was destroyed.

gltv@Ezra:5:12 @ But because our fathers had provoked to wrath the God of Heaven, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, and he tore down this house, and he exiled its people to Babylon.

gltv@Ezra:6:6 @ Now, Tatnai, governor of the province Beyond the River, Shetharboznai, and your associates, the officials who are Beyond the River, you be far from there.

gltv@Ezra:6:17 @ And they offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and twelve male goats, for a sin offering for all Israel, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

gltv@Ezra:6:19 @ And the sons of the exile performed the Passover on the fourteenth of the first month.

gltv@Ezra:7:14 @ since you have been sent by the king, and by his seven counselors to ask about Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of your God in your hand;

gltv@Ezra:7:17 @ Therefore of this you shall diligently buy with this silver bulls, rams, lambs, with their food offerings, and their drink offerings, and offer them on the altar of the house of your God in Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:7:18 @ And whatever shall seem good to you and to your brothers to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, do that after the will of your God.

gltv@Ezra:7:19 @ Also the vessels which are given to you for the service of the house of your God, deliver before the God of Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:7:20 @ And the rest of the needs of the house of your God which falls to you to give, give it out of the king's treasure house.

gltv@Ezra:7:25 @ And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God in your hand, you appoint judges and magistrates who may judge all the people who are Beyond the River; all who know the laws of your God; and those who do not know, you cause to know.

gltv@Ezra:7:26 @ And whoever will not do the law of your God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed diligently on him, whether to death, or to exile, or to confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.

gltv@Ezra:7:27 @ Blessed be Jehovah, the God of our fathers, who has put this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of Jehovah in Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:8:17 @ And I sent them with command to Iddo, the chief of the place Casiphia, and I put in their mouth words to say to Iddo, to his brothers the temple-slaves, at the place Casiphia; that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

gltv@Ezra:8:18 @ And by the good hand of our God on us, they brought us a man of understanding from the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel, and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brothers, eighteen.

gltv@Ezra:8:21 @ Then I called a fast there at the river Ahava, so that we might humble ourselves before our God, in order to seek from Him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our goods.

gltv@Ezra:8:22 @ For I was ashamed to ask of the king troops and horsemen to help us against the enemy of the way, because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God is on all those who seek Him for good; but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.

gltv@Ezra:8:23 @ So we fasted and prayed to our God for good. And He was pleased to hear us.

gltv@Ezra:8:25 @ And I weighed to them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, the offering of the house of our God, which the king and his counselors, and his lords, and all Israel who were there had lifted up.

gltv@Ezra:8:28 @ And I said to them, You are holy to Jehovah, and the articles also are holy. And the silver and the gold are a free gift to Jehovah, the God of your fathers.

gltv@Ezra:8:30 @ So the priests and the Levites took the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the articles, to bring them to Jerusalem, to the house of our God.

gltv@Ezra:8:31 @ And we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was on us, and He delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and ambushers along the way.

gltv@Ezra:8:33 @ And on the fourth day the silver and the gold and the articles were weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest. And with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, the Levites.

gltv@Ezra:9:6 @ And I said, O my God, I am ashamed and wounded to lift up my face to You, O my God. For our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guiltiness has grown to the heavens.

gltv@Ezra:9:7 @ Since the days of our fathers we have been in great guilt until this day. And for our iniquities we, our kings, our priests, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder, and to shame of faces to this day.

gltv@Ezra:9:8 @ And now, for a little time grace has been shown from Jehovah our God to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in His holy place, so that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a little reviving in our bondage.

gltv@Ezra:9:9 @ For we were slaves, yet our God has not left us in our bondage, but has given mercy to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to raise up the house of our God, and to make stand its ruins, and to give to us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

gltv@Ezra:9:10 @ And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken Your commandments

gltv@Ezra:9:11 @ which You have commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, The land into which you go, to possess it, it is an unclean land with the impurity of the people of the lands, with their abominations with which they have filled it, from mouth to mouth with their uncleanness.

gltv@Ezra:9:12 @ And now do not give your daughters to their sons, and do not take their daughters to your sons, or seek their peace, or their wealth forever, so that you may be strong and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your sons forever.

gltv@Ezra:9:13 @ And after all that has come on us for our evil deeds, and for our great guilt, since You our God have held back the rod on our iniquities, and have given us such an escape as this.

gltv@Ezra:9:14 @ Shall we again break Your commandments and intermarry with the people of these abominations? Would You not be angry with us until You had crushed us, until there is no remnant or survivor?

gltv@Ezra:9:15 @ O Jehovah the God of Israel, You are righteous. For we are left as escapees, as it is this day. Behold, we are before You in our guilt, for none is able to stand before You because of this.

gltv@Ezra:10:2 @ And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, answered and said to Ezra, We have sinned against our God, and have dwelt with foreign women from the peoples of the land. Yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

gltv@Ezra:10:3 @ And now let us cut a covenant with our God to put away all the women, and those born of them, according to the counsel of the Lord and of those who tremble at the command of our God. And let it be done according to the law.

gltv@Ezra:10:6 @ Then rose up from before the house of God and went into the room of Johanan the son of Eliashib. And he went there, and he did not eat food, nor did he drink, for he mourned for the perfidy of the exiles.

gltv@Ezra:10:11 @ And now make confession to Jehovah God of your fathers and do His will. And separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign women.

gltv@Ezra:10:12 @ Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice Right! According to your word it is on us to do.

gltv@Ezra:10:14 @ Please let our rulers for all the congregation stand, and let all those who have dwelt with foreign women in our cities come at a set time, and with them the elders of every city, and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter has turned from us.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:4 @ And it happened, when I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of Heaven.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:6 @ let Your ear now be open, and Your eyes open, so that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You today, day and night, for Your servants the sons of Israel; and confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both I and my father's house have sinned.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:7 @ We have acted utterly corrupt against You, and have not kept the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which You commanded Your servant Moses.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:8 @ I beseech You, remember the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, If you sin, I will scatter you among the peoples.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:10 @ And these are Your servants and Your people whom You have redeemed by Your great power and by Your strong hand.

gltv@Nehemiah:1:11 @ O Lord, I beg You, let Your ear be open to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to fear Your name. And I beg You, bless Your servant today and grant him mercy before this man. For I was cupbearer to the king.

gltv@Nehemiah:2:2 @ And the king said to me, Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart. Then I was very much afraid.

gltv@Nehemiah:2:5 @ and I said to the king, If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you would send me to Judah to the city of my fathers' tombs, so that I might build it.

gltv@Nehemiah:2:6 @ And the king said to me, the queen also sitting beside him, For how long shall your journey be? And when will you return? So it pleased the king, and he sent me; and I set him a time.

gltv@Nehemiah:3:25 @ Palal the son of Uzai repaired across from the corner, and the tower which sticks out from the king's high house, that was by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh repaired.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:4 @ O our God, hear. For we are despised. And turn their curse on their own head, and give them for a prey in the land of captivity.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:9 @ But we made our prayer to our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:11 @ And our foes have said, They shall not know or see until we come in the middle of them and kill them, and cause the work to cease.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:14 @ And I saw. And I rose up and said to the nobles and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and terrible, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:15 @ And it happened, when our enemies heard that it was known to us, and that God had broken their counsel, all of us returned to the wall, each one to his work.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:20 @ In whatever place you hear the sound of the ram's horn, gather there to us. Our God will fight for us.

gltv@Nehemiah:4:23 @ So neither I, nor my brothers, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us put off our clothes, though each had his vessel of water.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:2 @ For some were saying, With our sons and our daughters, we are many. let us take up grain for them, so that we may eat and live.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:3 @ Some also were saying, We have mortgaged our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses; let us take up grain because of the famine.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:4 @ And some were saying, We have borrowed silver for the king's tax, on our fields, and our vineyards,

gltv@Nehemiah:5:5 @ yet now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers; as their sons, so are our sons; and, behold, we are bringing our sons and our daughters into bondage, to be slaves; yea, there are some of our daughters brought into bondage. And there is no power for our hand, and our fields and our vineyards are to other men.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:8 @ And I said to them, According to our ability we have redeemed our brothers, the Jews who were sold to the nations. And will you yet sell your brothers? Or shall they be sold to us? Then they were silent, and did not find a word.

gltv@Nehemiah:5:9 @ Also I said, The thing you do is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?

gltv@Nehemiah:6:1 @ And it happened, when it was heard by Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and to the rest of our enemies, that I had built the wall, and that no break was left in it though at that time I had not set up doors on the gates,

gltv@Nehemiah:6:4 @ And they sent to me four times in this way. And I answered them in the same way.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:8 @ And I sent to him, saying, These things which you are saying are not happening, for you pretend them out of your own heart.

gltv@Nehemiah:6:16 @ And it happened when all our enemies heard, and all the nations who were around us saw, they were very much lowered in their own eyes. For they saw that this work was done by our God.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:12 @ The sons of Elam were a thousand, two hundred and fifty four.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:23 @ The sons of Bezai were three hundred and twenty four.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:34 @ The sons of the other Elam were a thousand, two hundred and fifty four.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:43 @ The Levites: the sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the sons of Hodevah, were seventy four.

gltv@Nehemiah:7:69 @ their camels, four hundred and thirty five; their asses, six thousand, seven hundred and twenty.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:9 @ And the governor, and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to Jehovah your God. Do not mourn or weep, For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:10 @ Then he said to them, Go eat the fat, and drink of the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be sorry, for the joy of Jehovah is your stronghold.

gltv@Nehemiah:8:16 @ And the people went out and brought in, and made booths for themselves, each man on his roof and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the plaza of the Water Gate, and in the plaza of the Ephraim Gate.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:1 @ And on the twenty fourth day of this month the sons of Israel were gathered with fasting and with sackcloth, and with earth on them.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:3 @ And they stood up in their place and read in the Book of the Law of Jehovah their God a fourth part of the day. And a fourth part they confessed and worshiped Jehovah their God.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:5 @ Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah said, Stand up! Bless Jehovah your God forever and ever. And blessed be the Name of Your Glory, even He being exalted above all blessing and praise.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:8 @ And You found his heart faithful before You, and cut with him the covenant to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it to his seed. And You have performed Your words, for You are righteous.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:9 @ And You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Sea of Reeds.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:10 @ And You gave signs and wonders on Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of the land. For You knew that they were seething against them. And You made a name for Yourself, as it is this day.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:14 @ And You made Your holy sabbath known to them, and You commanded commandments, statutes, and laws, to them by the hand of Your servant Moses.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:15 @ And You gave them bread from the heavens for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst. And You said to them that they should go in to possess the land which You had raised Your hand to give them.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:16 @ But they and our fathers seethed, and hardened their necks, and did not listen to Your commands.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:17 @ And they refused to obey, and were not mindful of Your wonders which You did among them. But they hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a leader to return them to their bondage. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and did not forsake them.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:18 @ Yea, when they had made a casted calf for themselves, and said, This is your god who brought you up out of Egypt, and had worked great blasphemies,

gltv@Nehemiah:9:19 @ Yet You in Your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud did not depart from them by day to lead them in the way, nor the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way in which they should go.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:20 @ You also gave Your good Spirit to teach them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:25 @ And they took strong cities and a rich land, and occupied houses full of all goods, wells already dug, vineyards and oliveyards and fruit trees in abundance. And they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and lived luxuriously in Your great goodness.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:26 @ But they were disobedient, and rebelled against You, and cast Your law behind their backs. And they killed Your prophets who testified against them, to turn them to You. And they worked great blasphemies.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:27 @ And You gave them into the hand of their enemies, who distressed them. And in the time of their distress, they cried to You; and You heard from Heaven. And according to Your manifold mercies, You gave them deliverers, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:28 @ But after a rest to them, they turned to doing evil before You. And You left them in the hand of their haters, and they ruled over them. But they came back and cried to You, and You heard them from Heaven, and You delivered them according to Your mercies.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:29 @ And You testified against them to bring them again to Your Law, but they seethed, and did not listen to Your commands, but were against Your judgments; they sinned in them, which if a man do, he shall live in them. And they gave a rebellious shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:30 @ But many years You had patience with them, and testified against them by Your Spirit, by Your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. And You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:31 @ But for Your great mercies, You did not consume nor forsake them; for You are a gracious and merciful God.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:32 @ And now our God, the great, the mighty and the fearful God, keeping the covenant and the mercy, let it not seem little before You, all the trouble which has found us, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our priests, and to our prophets, and to our fathers, and to all Your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria to this day.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:34 @ And our kings, our rulers, our priests, and our fathers have not kept Your law, nor listened to Your commands and Your testimonies with which You testified against them.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:35 @ And they have not served You in their kingdom, and in Your great goodness which You gave to them, and in the large and rich land which You gave before them. And they did not turn from their evil works.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:36 @ Behold, we are slaves today, even the land that You gave to our fathers to eat its fruit and its good, behold, we are slaves in it.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:37 @ And it yields much increase to the kings whom You have set over us because of our sinning. And they rule over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure; and we are in great distress.

gltv@Nehemiah:9:38 @ And because of all this, we are cutting a sure covenant and writing it, and our rulers, Levites, and priests are sealing it.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:29 @ were holding fast to their brothers, their honored ones; and were entering into a curse and into an oath, to walk in God's law which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to keep and to do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and His judgments and His statutes.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:30 @ And we swore that we would not give our daughters to the people of the land nor take their daughters for our sons.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:32 @ Also, we put commands on ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

gltv@Nehemiah:10:34 @ And we made fall the lots among the priests, and the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn on the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is written in the Law;

gltv@Nehemiah:10:35 @ also to bring the firstfruits of our ground, and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of Jehovah;

gltv@Nehemiah:10:36 @ also to bring the first-born of our sons, and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law; and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:37 @ And that we should bring the firstfruits of our dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all kinds of trees, of wine, and of oil, to the priests, to the rooms of the house of our God; and the tithes of our ground to the Levites; and they, the Levites, might have the tithes in all the cities we worked.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:38 @ And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites, tithing the Levites; and the Levites shall bring up the tithes of the tithes to the house of our God to the rooms, into the treasure house.

gltv@Nehemiah:10:39 @ For the sons of Israel, and the sons of Levi, shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine, and the oil, to the rooms, and there shall be the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests ministering, and the gatekeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:6 @ All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty eight mighty men.

gltv@Nehemiah:11:18 @ All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred and eighty four.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:2 @ because they did not meet the sons of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. But our God turned the curse to a blessing.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:4 @ And before this, Eliashib the priest, who was set over the rooms of the house of our God, who was related to Tobiah,

gltv@Nehemiah:13:7 @ And I came to Jerusalem, and understood the evil which Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:18 @ Did not your fathers do this, and did not our God bring all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by defiling the Sabbath.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:22 @ And I commanded the Levites that they should be cleansing themselves, and they should come guarding the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. O my God, remember me for this also and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:25 @ And I contended with them, and put a curse on them, and struck some of them, and I plucked their hair. And I made them swear by the name of God, saying, You shall not give your daughter to their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons, or for yourselves.

gltv@Nehemiah:13:27 @ Shall we then listen to you, to do this great evil, to sin against our God in living with foreign women?

gltv@Esther:1:5 @ And when these days were fulfilled, the king made a banquet for all the peoples who were found in Shushan the palace, both to great and to small, for seven days in the court of the garden of the king's palace.
