akjv@Genesis:19:17 @ And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for your life; look not behind you, neither stay you in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest you be consumed.

akjv@Genesis:19:19 @ Behold now, your servant has found grace in your sight, and you have magnified your mercy, which you have showed to me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:

akjv@Genesis:20:4 @ But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, will you slay also a righteous nation?

akjv@Genesis:20:6 @ And God said to him in a dream, Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart; for I also withheld you from sinning against me: therefore suffered I you not to touch her.

akjv@Genesis:20:7 @ Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for you, and you shall live: and if you restore her not, know you that you shall surely die, you, and all that are yours.

akjv@Genesis:20:9 @ Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, What have you done to us? and what have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? you have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.

akjv@Genesis:20:13 @ And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father' house, that I said to her, This is your kindness which you shall show to me; at every place where we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

akjv@Genesis:20:15 @ And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before you: dwell where it pleases you.

akjv@Genesis:20:16 @ And to Sarah he said, Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to you a covering of the eyes, to all that are with you, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

akjv@Genesis:21:12 @ And God said to Abraham, Let it not be grievous in your sight because of the lad, and because of your female slave; in all that Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac shall your seed be called.

akjv@Genesis:21:17 @ And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said to her, What ails you, Hagar? fear not; for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.

akjv@Genesis:21:18 @ Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in your hand; for I will make him a great nation.

akjv@Genesis:21:23 @ Now therefore swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son' son: but according to the kindness that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land wherein you have sojourned.

akjv@Genesis:21:26 @ And Abimelech said, I know not who has done this thing; neither did you tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

akjv@Genesis:21:29 @ And Abimelech said to Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves?

akjv@Genesis:21:30 @ And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shall you take of my hand, that they may be a witness to me, that I have dig this well.

akjv@Genesis:22:2 @ And he said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell you of.

akjv@Genesis:22:3 @ And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and split the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went to the place of which God had told him.

akjv@Genesis:22:5 @ And Abraham said to his young men, Abide you here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.

akjv@Genesis:22:12 @ And he said, Lay not your hand on the lad, neither do you any thing to him: for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son from me.

akjv@Genesis:22:16 @ And said, By myself have I sworn, said the LORD, for because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son:

akjv@Genesis:22:17 @ That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is on the sea shore; and your seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

akjv@Genesis:22:18 @ And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.

akjv@Genesis:22:19 @ So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelled at Beersheba.

akjv@Genesis:23:4 @ I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a burial plot with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

akjv@Genesis:23:6 @ Hear us, my lord: you are a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchers bury your dead; none of us shall withhold from you his sepulcher, but that you may bury your dead.

akjv@Genesis:23:8 @ And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

akjv@Genesis:23:9 @ That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a burial plot among you.

akjv@Genesis:23:11 @ No, my lord, hear me: the field give I you, and the cave that is therein, I give it you; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it you: bury your dead.

akjv@Genesis:23:13 @ And he spoke to Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if you will give it, I pray you, hear me: I will give you money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

akjv@Genesis:23:15 @ My lord, listen to me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that between me and you? bury therefore your dead.

akjv@Genesis:24:2 @ And Abraham said to his oldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray you, your hand under my thigh:

akjv@Genesis:24:3 @ And I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

akjv@Genesis:24:4 @ But you shall go to my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife to my son Isaac.

akjv@Genesis:24:5 @ And the servant said to him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land: must I needs bring your son again to the land from from where you came?

akjv@Genesis:24:6 @ And Abraham said to him, Beware you that you bring not my son thither again.

akjv@Genesis:24:7 @ The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father' house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spoke to me, and that swore to me, saying, To your seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife to my son from there.

akjv@Genesis:24:8 @ And if the woman will not be willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

akjv@Genesis:24:12 @ And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray you, send me good speed this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.

akjv@Genesis:24:14 @ And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down your pitcher, I pray you, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also: let the same be she that you have appointed for your servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that you have showed kindness to my master.

akjv@Genesis:24:17 @ And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray you, drink a little water of your pitcher.

akjv@Genesis:24:19 @ And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for your camels also, until they have done drinking.

akjv@Genesis:24:23 @ And said, Whose daughter are you? tell me, I pray you: is there room in your father' house for us to lodge in?

akjv@Genesis:24:31 @ And he said, Come in, you blessed of the LORD; why stand you without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

akjv@Genesis:24:37 @ And my master made me swear, saying, You shall not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

akjv@Genesis:24:38 @ But you shall go to my father' house, and to my kindred, and take a wife to my son.

akjv@Genesis:24:40 @ And he said to me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father' house:

akjv@Genesis:24:41 @ Then shall you be clear from this my oath, when you come to my kindred; and if they give not you one, you shall be clear from my oath.

akjv@Genesis:24:42 @ And I came this day to the well, and said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go:

akjv@Genesis:24:43 @ Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin comes forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray you, a little water of your pitcher to drink;

akjv@Genesis:24:44 @ And she say to me, Both drink you, and I will also draw for your camels: let the same be the woman whom the LORD has appointed out for my master' son.

akjv@Genesis:24:45 @ And before I had done speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down to the well, and drew water: and I said to her, Let me drink, I pray you.

akjv@Genesis:24:46 @ And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.

akjv@Genesis:24:47 @ And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter are you? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor' son, whom Milcah bore to him: and I put the earring on her face, and the bracelets on her hands.

akjv@Genesis:24:49 @ And now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

akjv@Genesis:24:50 @ Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceeds from the LORD: we cannot speak to you bad or good.

akjv@Genesis:24:51 @ Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her, and go, and let her be your master' son' wife, as the LORD has spoken.

akjv@Genesis:24:58 @ And they called Rebekah, and said to her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.

akjv@Genesis:24:60 @ And they blessed Rebekah, and said to her, You are our sister, be you the mother of thousands of millions, and let your seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

akjv@Genesis:25:18 @ And they dwelled from Havilah to Shur, that is before Egypt, as you go toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brothers.

akjv@Genesis:25:23 @ And the LORD said to her, Two nations are in your womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from your bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

akjv@Genesis:25:30 @ And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray you, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

akjv@Genesis:25:31 @ And Jacob said, Sell me this day your birthright.

akjv@Genesis:26:2 @ And the LORD appeared to him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell you of:

akjv@Genesis:26:3 @ Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you; for to you, and to your seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father;

akjv@Genesis:26:4 @ And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

akjv@Genesis:26:9 @ And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is your wife; and how said you, She is my sister? And Isaac said to him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

akjv@Genesis:26:10 @ And Abimelech said, What is this you have done to us? one of the people might lightly have lien with your wife, and you should have brought guiltiness on us.

akjv@Genesis:26:16 @ And Abimelech said to Isaac, Go from us; for you are much mightier than we.

akjv@Genesis:26:24 @ And the LORD appeared to him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham your father: fear not, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your seed for my servant Abraham' sake.

akjv@Genesis:26:27 @ And Isaac said to them, Why come you to me, seeing you hate me, and have sent me away from you?

akjv@Genesis:26:28 @ And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with you: and we said, Let there be now an oath between us, even between us and you, and let us make a covenant with you;

akjv@Genesis:26:29 @ That you will do us no hurt, as we have not touched you, and as we have done to you nothing but good, and have sent you away in peace: you are now the blessed of the LORD.

akjv@Genesis:27:3 @ Now therefore take, I pray you, your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

akjv@Genesis:27:4 @ And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless you before I die.

akjv@Genesis:27:6 @ And Rebekah spoke to Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard your father speak to Esau your brother, saying,

akjv@Genesis:27:7 @ Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless you before the LORD before my death.

akjv@Genesis:27:8 @ Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command you.

akjv@Genesis:27:9 @ Go now to the flock, and fetch me from there two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for your father, such as he loves:

akjv@Genesis:27:10 @ And you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, and that he may bless you before his death.

akjv@Genesis:27:13 @ And his mother said to him, On me be your curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.

akjv@Genesis:27:15 @ And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her oldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son:

akjv@Genesis:27:18 @ And he came to his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who are you, my son?

akjv@Genesis:27:19 @ And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau your first born; I have done according as you bade me: arise, I pray you, sit and eat of my venison, that your soul may bless me.

akjv@Genesis:27:20 @ And Isaac said to his son, How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD your God brought it to me.

akjv@Genesis:27:21 @ And Isaac said to Jacob, Come near, I pray you, that I may feel you, my son, whether you be my very son Esau or not.

akjv@Genesis:27:24 @ And he said, Are you my very son Esau? And he said, I am.

akjv@Genesis:27:25 @ And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son' venison, that my soul may bless you. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank.

akjv@Genesis:27:28 @ Therefore God give you of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

akjv@Genesis:27:29 @ Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you: be lord over your brothers, and let your mother' sons bow down to you: cursed be every one that curses you, and blessed be he that blesses you.

akjv@Genesis:27:31 @ And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son' venison, that your soul may bless me.

akjv@Genesis:27:32 @ And Isaac his father said to him, Who are you? And he said, I am your son, your firstborn Esau.

akjv@Genesis:27:33 @ And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? yes, and he shall be blessed.

akjv@Genesis:27:35 @ And he said, Your brother came with subtlety, and has taken away your blessing.

akjv@Genesis:27:36 @ And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he has supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Have you not reserved a blessing for me?

akjv@Genesis:27:37 @ And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now to you, my son?

akjv@Genesis:27:38 @ And Esau said to his father, Have you but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

akjv@Genesis:27:39 @ And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold, your dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;

akjv@Genesis:27:40 @ And by your sword shall you live, and shall serve your brother; and it shall come to pass when you shall have the dominion, that you shall break his yoke from off your neck.

akjv@Genesis:27:42 @ And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said to him, Behold, your brother Esau, as touching you, does comfort himself, purposing to kill you.

akjv@Genesis:27:43 @ Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee you to Laban my brother to Haran;

akjv@Genesis:27:44 @ And tarry with him a few days, until your brother' fury turn away;

akjv@Genesis:27:45 @ Until your brother' anger turn away from you, and he forget that which you have done to him: then I will send, and fetch you from there: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?

akjv@Genesis:28:1 @ And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

akjv@Genesis:28:2 @ Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel your mother' father; and take you a wife from there of the daughers of Laban your mother' brother.

akjv@Genesis:28:3 @ And God Almighty bless you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, that you may be a multitude of people;

akjv@Genesis:28:4 @ And give you the blessing of Abraham, to you, and to your seed with you; that you may inherit the land wherein you are a stranger, which God gave to Abraham.

akjv@Genesis:28:6 @ When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from there; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, You shall not take a wife of the daughers of Canaan;

akjv@Genesis:28:13 @ And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac: the land where on you lie, to you will I give it, and to your seed;

akjv@Genesis:28:14 @ And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

akjv@Genesis:28:15 @ And, behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places where you go, and will bring you again into this land; for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken to you of.

akjv@Genesis:28:22 @ And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God' house: and of all that you shall give me I will surely give the tenth to you.

akjv@Genesis:29:4 @ And Jacob said to them, My brothers, from where be you? And they said, Of Haran are we.

akjv@Genesis:29:5 @ And he said to them, Know you Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

akjv@Genesis:29:7 @ And he said, See, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water you the sheep, and go and feed them.

akjv@Genesis:29:14 @ And Laban said to him, Surely you are my bone and my flesh. And he stayed with him the space of a month.

akjv@Genesis:29:15 @ And Laban said to Jacob, Because you are my brother, should you therefore serve me for nothing? tell me, what shall your wages be?

akjv@Genesis:29:16 @ And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

akjv@Genesis:29:18 @ And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter.

akjv@Genesis:29:19 @ And Laban said, It is better that I give her to you, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

akjv@Genesis:29:25 @ And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this you have done to me? did not I serve with you for Rachel? why then have you beguiled me?

akjv@Genesis:29:26 @ And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

akjv@Genesis:29:27 @ Fulfill her week, and we will give you this also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other years.

akjv@Genesis:30:2 @ And Jacob' anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God' stead, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?

akjv@Genesis:30:14 @ And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray you, of your son' mandrakes.

akjv@Genesis:30:15 @ And she said to her, Is it a small matter that you have taken my husband? and would you take away my son' mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with you to night for your son' mandrakes.

akjv@Genesis:30:16 @ And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, You must come in to me; for surely I have hired you with my son' mandrakes. And he lay with her that night.

akjv@Genesis:30:26 @ Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served you, and let me go: for you know my service which I have done you.

akjv@Genesis:30:27 @ And Laban said to him, I pray you, if I have found favor in your eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD has blessed me for your sake.

akjv@Genesis:30:28 @ And he said, Appoint me your wages, and I will give it.

akjv@Genesis:30:29 @ And he said to him, You know how I have served you, and how your cattle was with me.

akjv@Genesis:30:30 @ For it was little which you had before I came, and it is now increased to a multitude; and the LORD has blessed you since my coming: and now when shall I provide for my own house also?

akjv@Genesis:30:31 @ And he said, What shall I give you? And Jacob said, You shall not give me any thing: if you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flock.

akjv@Genesis:30:32 @ I will pass through all your flock to day, removing from there all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.

akjv@Genesis:30:33 @ So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before your face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.

akjv@Genesis:30:34 @ And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to your word.

akjv@Genesis:31:3 @ And the LORD said to Jacob, Return to the land of your fathers, and to your kindred; and I will be with you.

akjv@Genesis:31:5 @ And said to them, I see your father' countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me.

akjv@Genesis:31:6 @ And you know that with all my power I have served your father.

akjv@Genesis:31:7 @ And your father has deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

akjv@Genesis:31:8 @ If he said thus, The speckled shall be your wages; then all the cattle bore speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be your hire; then bore all the cattle ringstraked.

akjv@Genesis:31:9 @ Thus God has taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.

akjv@Genesis:31:12 @ And he said, Lift up now your eyes, and see, all the rams which leap on the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and spotted: for I have seen all that Laban does to you.

akjv@Genesis:31:13 @ I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar, and where you vowed a vow to me: now arise, get you out from this land, and return to the land of your kindred.

akjv@Genesis:31:16 @ For all the riches which God has taken from our father, that is ours, and our children': now then, whatever God has said to you, do.

akjv@Genesis:31:24 @ And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said to him, Take heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

akjv@Genesis:31:26 @ And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done, that you have stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?

akjv@Genesis:31:27 @ Why did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and did not tell me, that I might have sent you away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?

akjv@Genesis:31:28 @ And have not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? you have now done foolishly in so doing.

akjv@Genesis:31:29 @ It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spoke to me last night, saying, Take you heed that you speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

akjv@Genesis:31:30 @ And now, though you would needs be gone, because you sore longed after your father' house, yet why have you stolen my gods?

akjv@Genesis:31:31 @ And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure you would take by force your daughters from me.

akjv@Genesis:31:32 @ With whomsoever you find your gods, let him not live: before our brothers discern you what is your with me, and take it to you. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them.

akjv@Genesis:31:35 @ And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before you; for the custom of women is on me. And he searched but found not the images.

akjv@Genesis:31:36 @ And Jacob was wroth, and strived with Laban: and Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my trespass? what is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued after me?

akjv@Genesis:31:37 @ Whereas you have searched all my stuff, what have you found of all your household stuff? set it here before my brothers and your brothers, that they may judge between us both.

akjv@Genesis:31:38 @ This twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of your flock have I not eaten.

akjv@Genesis:31:39 @ That which was torn of beasts I brought not to you; I bore the loss of it; of my hand did you require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.

akjv@Genesis:31:41 @ Thus have I been twenty years in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your cattle: and you have changed my wages ten times.

akjv@Genesis:31:42 @ Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely you had sent me away now empty. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.

akjv@Genesis:31:43 @ And Laban answered and said to Jacob, These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and these cattle are my cattle, and all that you see is mine: and what can I do this day to these my daughters, or to their children which they have born?

akjv@Genesis:31:44 @ Now therefore come you, let us make a covenant, I and you; and let it be for a witness between me and you.

akjv@Genesis:31:48 @ And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and you this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;

akjv@Genesis:31:49 @ And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and you, when we are absent one from another.

akjv@Genesis:31:50 @ If you shall afflict my daughters, or if you shall take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness between me and you.

akjv@Genesis:31:51 @ And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast between me and you:

akjv@Genesis:31:52 @ This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to you, and that you shall not pass over this heap and this pillar to me, for harm.

akjv@Genesis:32:4 @ And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall you speak to my lord Esau; Your servant Jacob said thus, I have sojourned with Laban, and stayed there until now:

akjv@Genesis:32:5 @ And I have oxen, and asses, flocks, and menservants, and womenservants: and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find grace in your sight.

akjv@Genesis:32:6 @ And the messengers returned to Jacob, saying, We came to your brother Esau, and also he comes to meet you, and four hundred men with him.

akjv@Genesis:32:9 @ And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which said to me, Return to your country, and to your kindred, and I will deal well with you:

akjv@Genesis:32:10 @ I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which you have showed to your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

akjv@Genesis:32:11 @ Deliver me, I pray you, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.

akjv@Genesis:32:12 @ And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

akjv@Genesis:32:17 @ And he commanded the foremost, saying, When Esau my brother meets you, and asks you, saying, Whose are you? and where go you? and whose are these before you?

akjv@Genesis:32:18 @ Then you shall say, They be your servant Jacob'; it is a present sent to my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.

akjv@Genesis:32:19 @ And so commanded he the second, and the third, and all that followed the droves, saying, On this manner shall you speak to Esau, when you find him.

akjv@Genesis:32:20 @ And say you moreover, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; peradventure he will accept of me.

akjv@Genesis:32:26 @ And he said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me.

akjv@Genesis:32:27 @ And he said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.

akjv@Genesis:32:28 @ And he said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed.

akjv@Genesis:32:29 @ And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, your name. And he said, Why is it that you do ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

akjv@Genesis:33:5 @ And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with you? And he said, The children which God has graciously given your servant.

akjv@Genesis:33:8 @ And he said, What mean you by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

akjv@Genesis:33:9 @ And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that you have to yourself.

akjv@Genesis:33:10 @ And Jacob said, No, I pray you, if now I have found grace in your sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen your face, as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

akjv@Genesis:33:11 @ Take, I pray you, my blessing that is brought to you; because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

akjv@Genesis:33:12 @ And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before you.

akjv@Genesis:33:13 @ And he said to him, My lord knows that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

akjv@Genesis:33:14 @ Let my lord, I pray you, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goes before me and the children be able to endure, until I come to my lord to Seir.

akjv@Genesis:33:15 @ And Esau said, Let me now leave with you some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needs it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

akjv@Genesis:34:8 @ And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longs for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.

akjv@Genesis:34:9 @ And make you marriages with us, and give your daughters to us, and take our daughters to you.

akjv@Genesis:34:10 @ And you shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade you therein, and get you possessions therein.

akjv@Genesis:34:11 @ And Shechem said to her father and to her brothers, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what you shall say to me I will give.

akjv@Genesis:34:12 @ Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as you shall say to me: but give me the damsel to wife.

akjv@Genesis:34:15 @ But in this will we consent to you: If you will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;

akjv@Genesis:34:16 @ Then will we give our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

akjv@Genesis:34:17 @ But if you will not listen to us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.

akjv@Genesis:34:19 @ And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob' daughter: and he was more honorable than all the house of his father.

akjv@Genesis:34:30 @ And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, You have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.

akjv@Genesis:35:1 @ And God said to Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar to God, that appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.

akjv@Genesis:35:2 @ Then Jacob said to his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

akjv@Genesis:35:10 @ And God said to him, Your name is Jacob: your name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be your name: and he called his name Israel.

akjv@Genesis:35:11 @ And God said to him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of you, and kings shall come out of your loins;

akjv@Genesis:35:12 @ And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to you I will give it, and to your seed after you will I give the land.

akjv@Genesis:35:17 @ And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, Fear not; you shall have this son also.

akjv@Genesis:37:6 @ And he said to them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

akjv@Genesis:37:7 @ For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, see, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

akjv@Genesis:37:8 @ And his brothers said to him, Shall you indeed reign over us? or shall you indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

akjv@Genesis:37:10 @ And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth?

akjv@Genesis:37:13 @ And Israel said to Joseph, Do not your brothers feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send you to them. And he said to him, Here am I.

akjv@Genesis:37:14 @ And he said to him, Go, I pray you, see whether it be well with your brothers, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

akjv@Genesis:37:15 @ And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seek you?

akjv@Genesis:37:16 @ And he said, I seek my brothers: tell me, I pray you, where they feed their flocks.

akjv@Genesis:37:32 @ And they sent the coat of many colors, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be your son' coat or no.

akjv@Genesis:38:8 @ And Judah said to Onan, Go in to your brother' wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to your brother.

akjv@Genesis:38:11 @ Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at your father' house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brothers did. And Tamar went and dwelled in her father' house.

akjv@Genesis:38:13 @ And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold your father in law goes up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

akjv@Genesis:38:16 @ And he turned to her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray you, let me come in to you; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What will you give me, that you may come in to me?

akjv@Genesis:38:17 @ And he said, I will send you a kid from the flock. And she said, Will you give me a pledge, till you send it?

akjv@Genesis:38:18 @ And he said, What pledge shall I give you? And she said, Your signet, and your bracelets, and your staff that is in your hand. And he gave it her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.

akjv@Genesis:38:23 @ And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and you have not found her.

akjv@Genesis:38:24 @ And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar your daughter in law has played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by prostitution. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

akjv@Genesis:38:25 @ When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray you, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

akjv@Genesis:38:29 @ And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How have you broken forth? this breach be on you: therefore his name was called Pharez.

akjv@Genesis:39:9 @ There is none greater in this house than I; neither has he kept back any thing from me but you, because you are his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

akjv@Genesis:39:17 @ And she spoke to him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which you have brought to us, came in to me to mock me:

akjv@Genesis:39:19 @ And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spoke to him, saying, After this manner did your servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

akjv@Genesis:40:7 @ And he asked Pharaoh' officers that were with him in the ward of his lord' house, saying, Why look you so sadly to day?

akjv@Genesis:40:8 @ And they said to him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said to them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

akjv@Genesis:40:13 @ Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up your head, and restore you to your place: and you shall deliver Pharaoh' cup into his hand, after the former manner when you were his butler.

akjv@Genesis:40:14 @ But think on me when it shall be well with you, and show kindness, I pray you, to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

akjv@Genesis:40:19 @ Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up your head from off you, and shall hang you on a tree; and the birds shall eat your flesh from off you.

akjv@Genesis:41:12 @ And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

akjv@Genesis:41:15 @ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.

akjv@Genesis:41:39 @ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, For as much as God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are:

akjv@Genesis:41:40 @ You shall be over my house, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than you.

akjv@Genesis:41:41 @ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.

akjv@Genesis:41:44 @ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

akjv@Genesis:41:55 @ And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, Go to Joseph; what he said to you, do.

akjv@Genesis:42:1 @ Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said to his sons, Why do you look one on another?

akjv@Genesis:42:2 @ And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from there; that we may live, and not die.

akjv@Genesis:42:7 @ And Joseph saw his brothers, and he knew them, but made himself strange to them, and spoke roughly to them; and he said to them, From where come you? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

akjv@Genesis:42:9 @ And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said to them, You are spies; to see the nakedness of the land you are come.

akjv@Genesis:42:10 @ And they said to him, No, my lord, but to buy food are your servants come.

akjv@Genesis:42:11 @ We are all one man' sons; we are true men, your servants are no spies.

akjv@Genesis:42:12 @ And he said to them, No, but to see the nakedness of the land you are come.

akjv@Genesis:42:13 @ And they said, Your servants are twelve brothers, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

akjv@Genesis:42:14 @ And Joseph said to them, That is it that I spoke to you, saying, You are spies:

akjv@Genesis:42:15 @ Hereby you shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh you shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come here.

akjv@Genesis:42:16 @ Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and you shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely you are spies.

akjv@Genesis:42:19 @ If you be true men, let one of your brothers be bound in the house of your prison: go you, carry corn for the famine of your houses:

akjv@Genesis:42:20 @ But bring your youngest brother to me; so shall your words be verified, and you shall not die. And they did so.

akjv@Genesis:42:22 @ And Reuben answered them, saying, Spoke I not to you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and you would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

akjv@Genesis:42:32 @ We be twelve brothers, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.

akjv@Genesis:42:33 @ And the man, the lord of the country, said to us, Hereby shall I know that you are true men; leave one of your brothers here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:

akjv@Genesis:42:34 @ And bring your youngest brother to me: then shall I know that you are no spies, but that you are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and you shall traffic in the land.

akjv@Genesis:42:36 @ And Jacob their father said to them, Me have you bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and you will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

akjv@Genesis:42:37 @ And Reuben spoke to his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to you: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to you again.

akjv@Genesis:42:38 @ And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which you go, then shall you bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

akjv@Genesis:43:3 @ And Judah spoke to him, saying, The man did solemnly protest to us, saying, You shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

akjv@Genesis:43:4 @ If you will send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food:

akjv@Genesis:43:5 @ But if you will not send him, we will not go down: for the man said to us, You shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

akjv@Genesis:43:6 @ And Israel said, Why dealt you so ill with me, as to tell the man whether you had yet a brother?

akjv@Genesis:43:7 @ And they said, The man asked us straightly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have you another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

akjv@Genesis:43:8 @ And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.

akjv@Genesis:43:9 @ I will be surety for him; of my hand shall you require him: if I bring him not to you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame for ever:

akjv@Genesis:43:11 @ And their father Israel said to them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

akjv@Genesis:43:12 @ And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:

akjv@Genesis:43:13 @ Take also your brother, and arise, go again to the man:

akjv@Genesis:43:14 @ And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

akjv@Genesis:43:23 @ And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out to them.

akjv@Genesis:43:27 @ And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he yet alive?

akjv@Genesis:43:28 @ And they answered, Your servant our father is in good health, he is yet alive. And they bowed down their heads, and made obeisance.

akjv@Genesis:43:29 @ And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother' son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom you spoke to me? And he said, God be gracious to you, my son.

akjv@Genesis:43:33 @ And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marveled one at another.

akjv@Genesis:44:2 @ And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack' mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

akjv@Genesis:44:4 @ And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when you do overtake them, say to them, Why have you rewarded evil for good?

akjv@Genesis:44:5 @ Is not this it in which my lord drinks, and whereby indeed he divines? you have done evil in so doing.

akjv@Genesis:44:7 @ And they said to him, Why said my lord these words? God forbid that your servants should do according to this thing:

akjv@Genesis:44:8 @ Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks'mouths, we brought again to you out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of your lord' house silver or gold?

akjv@Genesis:44:9 @ With whomsoever of your servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord' slaves.

akjv@Genesis:44:10 @ And he said, Now also let it be according to your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and you shall be blameless.

akjv@Genesis:44:12 @ And he searched, and began at the oldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin' sack.

akjv@Genesis:44:15 @ And Joseph said to them, What deed is this that you have done? know you not that such a man as I can certainly divine?

akjv@Genesis:44:16 @ And Judah said, What shall we say to my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants: behold, we are my lord' servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.

akjv@Genesis:44:17 @ And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace to your father.

akjv@Genesis:44:18 @ Then Judah came near to him, and said, Oh my lord, let your servant, I pray you, speak a word in my lord' ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant: for you are even as Pharaoh.

akjv@Genesis:44:19 @ My lord asked his servants, saying, Have you a father, or a brother?

akjv@Genesis:44:21 @ And you said to your servants, Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.

akjv@Genesis:44:23 @ And you said to your servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, you shall see my face no more.

akjv@Genesis:44:24 @ And it came to pass when we came up to your servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.

akjv@Genesis:44:26 @ And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man' face, except our youngest brother be with us.

akjv@Genesis:44:27 @ And your servant my father said to us, You know that my wife bore me two sons:

akjv@Genesis:44:29 @ And if you take this also from me, and mischief befall him, you shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.

akjv@Genesis:44:30 @ Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad' life;

akjv@Genesis:44:31 @ It shall come to pass, when he sees that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and your servants shall bring down the gray hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to the grave.

akjv@Genesis:44:32 @ For your servant became surety for the lad to my father, saying, If I bring him not to you, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.

akjv@Genesis:44:33 @ Now therefore, I pray you, let your servant abide instead of the lad a slave to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brothers.

akjv@Genesis:45:4 @ And Joseph said to his brothers, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

akjv@Genesis:45:5 @ Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

akjv@Genesis:45:7 @ And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

akjv@Genesis:45:8 @ So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

akjv@Genesis:45:9 @ Haste you, and go up to my father, and say to him, Thus said your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt: come down to me, tarry not:

akjv@Genesis:45:10 @ And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you, and your children, and your children' children, and your flocks, and your herds, and all that you have:

akjv@Genesis:45:11 @ And there will I nourish you; for yet there are five years of famine; lest you, and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty.

akjv@Genesis:45:12 @ And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

akjv@Genesis:45:13 @ And you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that you have seen; and you shall haste and bring down my father here.

akjv@Genesis:45:17 @ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, This do you; lade your beasts, and go, get you to the land of Canaan;

akjv@Genesis:45:18 @ And take your father and your households, and come to me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.

akjv@Genesis:45:19 @ Now you are commanded, this do you; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

akjv@Genesis:45:20 @ Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is your'.

akjv@Genesis:45:24 @ So he sent his brothers away, and they departed: and he said to them, See that you fall not out by the way.

akjv@Genesis:46:3 @ And he said, I am God, the God of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:

akjv@Genesis:46:4 @ I will go down with you into Egypt; and I will also surely bring you up again: and Joseph shall put his hand on your eyes.

akjv@Genesis:46:30 @ And Israel said to Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are yet alive.

akjv@Genesis:46:33 @ And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?

akjv@Genesis:46:34 @ That you shall say, Your servants'trade has been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.

akjv@Genesis:47:3 @ And Pharaoh said to his brothers, What is your occupation? And they said to Pharaoh, Your servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers.

akjv@Genesis:47:4 @ They said morever to Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for your servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray you, let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.

akjv@Genesis:47:5 @ And Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, Your father and your brothers are come to you:

akjv@Genesis:47:6 @ The land of Egypt is before you; in the best of the land make your father and brothers to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if you know any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.

akjv@Genesis:47:8 @ And Pharaoh said to Jacob, How old are you?

akjv@Genesis:47:15 @ And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in your presence? for the money fails.

akjv@Genesis:47:16 @ And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.

akjv@Genesis:47:19 @ Why shall we die before your eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants to Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.

akjv@Genesis:47:23 @ Then Joseph said to the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: see, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.

akjv@Genesis:47:24 @ And it shall come to pass in the increase, that you shall give the fifth part to Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.

akjv@Genesis:47:25 @ And they said, You have saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh' servants.

akjv@Genesis:47:29 @ And the time drew near that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said to him, If now I have found grace in your sight, put, I pray you, your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray you, in Egypt:

akjv@Genesis:47:30 @ But I will lie with my fathers, and you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burial plot. And he said, I will do as you have said.

akjv@Genesis:48:1 @ And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, your father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

akjv@Genesis:48:2 @ And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, your son Joseph comes to you: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.

akjv@Genesis:48:4 @ And said to me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.

akjv@Genesis:48:5 @ And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

akjv@Genesis:48:6 @ And your issue, which you beget after them, shall be yours, and shall be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

akjv@Genesis:48:9 @ And Joseph said to his father, They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray you, to me, and I will bless them.

akjv@Genesis:48:11 @ And Israel said to Joseph, I had not thought to see your face: and, see, God has showed me also your seed.

akjv@Genesis:48:14 @ And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on Ephraim' head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh' head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

akjv@Genesis:48:18 @ And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.

akjv@Genesis:48:19 @ And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

akjv@Genesis:48:20 @ And he blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

akjv@Genesis:48:21 @ And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

akjv@Genesis:48:22 @ Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

akjv@Genesis:49:1 @ And Jacob called to his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

akjv@Genesis:49:2 @ Gather yourselves together, and hear, you sons of Jacob; and listen to Israel your father.

akjv@Genesis:49:3 @ Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:

akjv@Genesis:49:4 @ Unstable as water, you shall not excel; because you went up to your father' bed; then defiled you it: he went up to my couch.

akjv@Genesis:49:6 @ O my soul, come not you into their secret; to their assembly, my honor, be not you united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they dig down a wall.

akjv@Genesis:49:8 @ Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise: your hand shall be in the neck of your enemies; your father' children shall bow down before you.

akjv@Genesis:49:9 @ Judah is a lion' whelp: from the prey, my son, you are gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

akjv@Genesis:49:18 @ I have waited for your salvation, O LORD.

akjv@Genesis:49:25 @ Even by the God of your father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless you with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

akjv@Genesis:49:26 @ The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brothers.

akjv@Genesis:50:4 @ And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spoke to the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

akjv@Genesis:50:5 @ My father made me swear, saying, See, I die: in my grave which I have dig for me in the land of Canaan, there shall you bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray you, and bury my father, and I will come again.

akjv@Genesis:50:6 @ And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury your father, according as he made you swear.

akjv@Genesis:50:16 @ And they sent a messenger to Joseph, saying, Your father did command before he died, saying,

akjv@Genesis:50:17 @ So shall you say to Joseph, Forgive, I pray you now, the trespass of your brothers, and their sin; for they did to you evil: and now, we pray you, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father. And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

akjv@Genesis:50:18 @ And his brothers also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be your servants.

akjv@Genesis:50:20 @ But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it to good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

akjv@Genesis:50:21 @ Now therefore fear you not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spoke kindly to them.

akjv@Genesis:50:24 @ And Joseph said to his brothers, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land which he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

akjv@Genesis:50:25 @ And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from hence.

akjv@Exodus:1:16 @ And he said, When you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them on the stools; if it be a son, then you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

akjv@Exodus:1:18 @ And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said to them, Why have you done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

akjv@Exodus:1:22 @ And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.

akjv@Exodus:2:7 @ Then said his sister to Pharaoh' daughter, Shall I go and call to you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?

akjv@Exodus:2:9 @ And Pharaoh' daughter said to her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

akjv@Exodus:2:13 @ And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Why smite you your fellow?

akjv@Exodus:2:14 @ And he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? intend you to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

akjv@Exodus:2:18 @ And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that you are come so soon to day?

akjv@Exodus:2:20 @ And he said to his daughters, And where is he? why is it that you have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

akjv@Exodus:3:5 @ And he said, Draw not near here: put off your shoes from off your feet, for the place where on you stand is holy ground.

akjv@Exodus:3:6 @ Moreover he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look on God.

akjv@Exodus:3:10 @ Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:3:12 @ And he said, Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be a token to you, that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.

akjv@Exodus:3:13 @ And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say to them?

akjv@Exodus:3:14 @ And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.

akjv@Exodus:3:15 @ And God said moreover to Moses, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, the LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial to all generations.

akjv@Exodus:3:16 @ Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

akjv@Exodus:3:17 @ And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

akjv@Exodus:3:18 @ And they shall listen to your voice: and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us: and now let us go, we beseech you, three days'journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

akjv@Exodus:3:19 @ And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

akjv@Exodus:3:20 @ And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the middle thereof: and after that he will let you go.

akjv@Exodus:3:21 @ And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when you go, you shall not go empty.

akjv@Exodus:3:22 @ But every woman shall borrow of her neighbor, and of her that sojournes in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and you shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters; and you shall spoil the Egyptians.

akjv@Exodus:4:1 @ And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice: for they will say, The LORD has not appeared to you.

akjv@Exodus:4:2 @ And the LORD said to him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A rod.

akjv@Exodus:4:4 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Put forth your hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

akjv@Exodus:4:5 @ That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.

akjv@Exodus:4:6 @ And the LORD said furthermore to him, Put now your hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

akjv@Exodus:4:7 @ And he said, Put your hand into your bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

akjv@Exodus:4:8 @ And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

akjv@Exodus:4:9 @ And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither listen to your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land: and the water which you take out of the river shall become blood on the dry land.

akjv@Exodus:4:10 @ And Moses said to the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since you have spoken to your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

akjv@Exodus:4:12 @ Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.

akjv@Exodus:4:13 @ And he said, O my LORD, send, I pray you, by the hand of him whom you will send.

akjv@Exodus:4:14 @ And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

akjv@Exodus:4:15 @ And you shall speak to him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.

akjv@Exodus:4:16 @ And he shall be your spokesman to the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to you instead of a mouth, and you shall be to him instead of God.

akjv@Exodus:4:17 @ And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do signs.

akjv@Exodus:4:18 @ And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said to him, Let me go, I pray you, and return to my brothers which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

akjv@Exodus:4:19 @ And the LORD said to Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought your life.

akjv@Exodus:4:21 @ And the LORD said to Moses, When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

akjv@Exodus:4:22 @ And you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus said the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

akjv@Exodus:4:23 @ And I say to you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.

akjv@Exodus:4:25 @ Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband are you to me.

akjv@Exodus:4:26 @ So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband you are, because of the circumcision.

akjv@Exodus:5:3 @ And they said, The God of the Hebrews has met with us: let us go, we pray you, three days'journey into the desert, and sacrifice to the LORD our God; lest he fall on us with pestilence, or with the sword.

akjv@Exodus:5:4 @ And the king of Egypt said to them, Why do you, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you to your burdens.

akjv@Exodus:5:5 @ And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and you make them rest from their burdens.

akjv@Exodus:5:7 @ You shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

akjv@Exodus:5:8 @ And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, you shall lay on them; you shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

akjv@Exodus:5:10 @ And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus said Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

akjv@Exodus:5:11 @ Go you, get you straw where you can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

akjv@Exodus:5:13 @ And the taskmasters hurried them, saying, Fulfill your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

akjv@Exodus:5:14 @ And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh' taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Why have you not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

akjv@Exodus:5:15 @ Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, Why deal you thus with your servants?

akjv@Exodus:5:16 @ There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, your servants are beaten; but the fault is in your own people.

akjv@Exodus:5:17 @ But he said, You are idle, you are idle: therefore you say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:5:18 @ Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall you deliver the tale of bricks.

akjv@Exodus:5:19 @ And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, You shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

akjv@Exodus:5:21 @ And they said to them, The LORD look on you, and judge; because you have made our smell to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

akjv@Exodus:5:22 @ And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, LORD, why have you so evil entreated this people? why is it that you have sent me?

akjv@Exodus:5:23 @ For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have you delivered your people at all.

akjv@Exodus:6:1 @ Then the LORD said to Moses, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

akjv@Exodus:6:6 @ Why say to the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

akjv@Exodus:6:7 @ And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, which brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

akjv@Exodus:6:8 @ And I will bring you in to the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:6:29 @ That the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak you to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you.

akjv@Exodus:7:1 @ And the LORD said to Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.

akjv@Exodus:7:2 @ You shall speak all that I command you: and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.

akjv@Exodus:7:4 @ But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, that I may lay my hand on Egypt, and bring forth my armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

akjv@Exodus:7:9 @ When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying, Show a miracle for you: then you shall say to Aaron, Take your rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.

akjv@Exodus:7:15 @ Get you to Pharaoh in the morning; see, he goes out to the water; and you shall stand by the river' brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in your hand.

akjv@Exodus:7:16 @ And you shall say to him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, till now you would not hear.

akjv@Exodus:7:17 @ Thus said the LORD, In this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.

akjv@Exodus:7:19 @ And the LORD spoke to Moses, Say to Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out your hand on the waters of Egypt, on their streams, on their rivers, and on their ponds, and on all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.

akjv@Exodus:8:2 @ And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your borders with frogs:

akjv@Exodus:8:3 @ And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:

akjv@Exodus:8:4 @ And the frogs shall come up both on you, and on your people, and on all your servants.

akjv@Exodus:8:5 @ And the LORD spoke to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:8:9 @ And Moses said to Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I entreat for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only?

akjv@Exodus:8:10 @ And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like to the LORD our God.

akjv@Exodus:8:11 @ And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.

akjv@Exodus:8:16 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Stretch out your rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:8:21 @ Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you, and on your servants, and on your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground where on they are.

akjv@Exodus:8:22 @ And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am the LORD in the middle of the earth.

akjv@Exodus:8:23 @ And I will put a division between my people and your people: to morrow shall this sign be.

akjv@Exodus:8:25 @ And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go you, sacrifice to your God in the land.

akjv@Exodus:8:28 @ And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: entreat for me.

akjv@Exodus:8:29 @ And Moses said, Behold, I go out from you, and I will entreat the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:9:2 @ For if you refuse to let them go, and will hold them still,

akjv@Exodus:9:3 @ Behold, the hand of the LORD is on your cattle which is in the field, on the horses, on the asses, on the camels, on the oxen, and on the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

akjv@Exodus:9:8 @ And the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

akjv@Exodus:9:14 @ For I will at this time send all my plagues on your heart, and on your servants, and on your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

akjv@Exodus:9:15 @ For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth.

akjv@Exodus:9:16 @ And in very deed for this cause have I raised you up, for to show in you my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

akjv@Exodus:9:17 @ As yet exalt you yourself against my people, that you will not let them go?

akjv@Exodus:9:19 @ Send therefore now, and gather your cattle, and all that you have in the field; for on every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.

akjv@Exodus:9:22 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on beast, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:9:28 @ Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunder and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.

akjv@Exodus:9:29 @ And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know how that the earth is the LORD'.

akjv@Exodus:9:30 @ But as for you and your servants, I know that you will not yet fear the LORD God.

akjv@Exodus:10:2 @ And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son' son, what things I have worked in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know how that I am the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:10:3 @ And Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh, and said to him, Thus said the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

akjv@Exodus:10:4 @ Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into your coast:

akjv@Exodus:10:5 @ And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:

akjv@Exodus:10:6 @ And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers'fathers have seen, since the day that they were on the earth to this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

akjv@Exodus:10:7 @ And Pharaoh' servants said to him, How long shall this man be a snare to us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: know you not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

akjv@Exodus:10:8 @ And Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

akjv@Exodus:10:9 @ And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast to the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:10:10 @ And he said to them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

akjv@Exodus:10:11 @ Not so: go now you that are men, and serve the LORD; for that you did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh' presence.

akjv@Exodus:10:12 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.

akjv@Exodus:10:16 @ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

akjv@Exodus:10:17 @ Now therefore forgive, I pray you, my sin only this once, and entreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

akjv@Exodus:10:21 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

akjv@Exodus:10:24 @ And Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, Go you, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

akjv@Exodus:10:25 @ And Moses said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

akjv@Exodus:10:28 @ And Pharaoh said to him, Get you from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.

akjv@Exodus:10:29 @ And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.

akjv@Exodus:11:1 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more on Pharaoh, and on Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

akjv@Exodus:11:7 @ But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that you may know how that the LORD does put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.

akjv@Exodus:11:8 @ And all these your servants shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

akjv@Exodus:11:9 @ And the LORD said to Moses, Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:12:2 @ This month shall be to you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

akjv@Exodus:12:3 @ Speak you to all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

akjv@Exodus:12:4 @ And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

akjv@Exodus:12:5 @ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

akjv@Exodus:12:6 @ And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

akjv@Exodus:12:10 @ And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.

akjv@Exodus:12:11 @ And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD' passover.

akjv@Exodus:12:13 @ And the blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:12:14 @ And this day shall be to you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

akjv@Exodus:12:15 @ Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

akjv@Exodus:12:16 @ And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

akjv@Exodus:12:17 @ And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

akjv@Exodus:12:18 @ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

akjv@Exodus:12:19 @ Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

akjv@Exodus:12:20 @ You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall you eat unleavened bread.

akjv@Exodus:12:21 @ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

akjv@Exodus:12:22 @ And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

akjv@Exodus:12:23 @ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in to your houses to smite you.

akjv@Exodus:12:24 @ And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons for ever.

akjv@Exodus:12:25 @ And it shall come to pass, when you be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.

akjv@Exodus:12:26 @ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say to you, What mean you by this service?

akjv@Exodus:12:27 @ That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD' passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

akjv@Exodus:12:31 @ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said.

akjv@Exodus:12:32 @ Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

akjv@Exodus:12:44 @ But every man' servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

akjv@Exodus:12:46 @ In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall you break a bone thereof.

akjv@Exodus:12:48 @ And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

akjv@Exodus:12:49 @ One law shall be to him that is home born, and to the stranger that sojournes among you.

akjv@Exodus:13:3 @ And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

akjv@Exodus:13:4 @ This day came you out in the month Abib.

akjv@Exodus:13:5 @ And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.

akjv@Exodus:13:6 @ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.

akjv@Exodus:13:7 @ Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.

akjv@Exodus:13:8 @ And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did to me when I came forth out of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:13:9 @ And it shall be for a sign to you on your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD' law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:13:10 @ You shall therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

akjv@Exodus:13:11 @ And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and shall give it you,

akjv@Exodus:13:12 @ That you shall set apart to the LORD all that opens the matrix, and every firstling that comes of a beast which you have; the males shall be the LORD'.

akjv@Exodus:13:13 @ And every firstling of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children shall you redeem.

akjv@Exodus:13:14 @ And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say to him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

akjv@Exodus:13:16 @ And it shall be for a token on your hand, and for frontlets between your eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.

akjv@Exodus:13:19 @ And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straightly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and you shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

akjv@Exodus:15:12 @ You stretched out your right hand, the earth swallowed them.

akjv@Exodus:15:13 @ You in your mercy have led forth the people which you have redeemed: you have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.
