gltv@Hosea:1:1 @ The word of Jehovah that was to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel.

gltv@Hosea:1:2 @ The beginning of the speaking of Jehovah by Hosea. And Jehovah said to Hosea, Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry, and children of harlotry. For the land has utterly gone lusting away from Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:1:3 @ And he went and took Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim, who conceived and bore him a son.

gltv@Hosea:1:4 @ And Jehovah said to him, Call his name God Will Sow, for yet in a little while I will call to account the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

gltv@Hosea:1:5 @ And it shall be in that day, I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

gltv@Hosea:1:6 @ And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said to him, Call her name No Mercy, for I will not again still have mercy on the house of Israel; but I will completely take them away.

gltv@Hosea:1:7 @ And I will have mercy on the house of Judah and will save them by Jehovah their God. And I will not save them by bow or by sword, or by battle, by horses, or by horsemen.

gltv@Hosea:1:8 @ And she having weaned No Mercy, she conceived and bore a son.

gltv@Hosea:1:9 @ Then He said, Call his name Not My People, for you are not My people, and I will not be for you.

gltv@Hosea:1:10 @ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it is said to them, You are not My people, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God.

gltv@Hosea:1:11 @ And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be gathered together, and shall set over themselves one head. And they shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

gltv@Hosea:2:1 @ Say to your brothers, A people; and to your sisters, Mercy.

gltv@Hosea:2:2 @ Strive! Strive with your mother, for she is not My wife, and I am not her husband. Therefore, let her put away her harlotries from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts,

gltv@Hosea:2:3 @ that I not strip her naked and set her out as in the day that she was born, and make her as the wilderness, and place her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.

gltv@Hosea:2:4 @ And I will not have pity for her sons, for they are the sons of harlotries.

gltv@Hosea:2:5 @ For their mother has prostituted herself; she who conceived them has acted shamefully. For she said, I will go after my lovers who give my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.

gltv@Hosea:2:6 @ Therefore, behold, I will hedge your way with thorns, and I will wall up her wall, that she shall not find her paths.

gltv@Hosea:2:7 @ And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them. And she shall look for them, but she shall not find them. Then she shall say, I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.

gltv@Hosea:2:8 @ For she did not know that I gave her grain and wine and oil, and I multiplied her silver and the gold they prepared for Baal.

gltv@Hosea:2:9 @ So I will return and take My grain in its time, and My wine in its season. And I will take back My wool and My flax she uses to cover her nakedness.

gltv@Hosea:2:10 @ And now I will uncover her shamefulness to the eyes of her lovers, and a man shall not deliver her out of My hand.

gltv@Hosea:2:11 @ I will also cause all her joy to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

gltv@Hosea:2:12 @ And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she has said, They are my rewards that my lovers have given me. And I will set them for a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

gltv@Hosea:2:13 @ And I will visit on her the days of the Baals in which she burned incense to them. Yea, she adorned herself with her nose rings, and her jewels, and she went after her lovers and forgot Me, says Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:2:14 @ Therefore, behold, I will lure her and bring her to the wilderness, and speak to her heart.

gltv@Hosea:2:15 @ And from there I will give her vineyards to her, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope. And she shall answer there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

gltv@Hosea:2:16 @ And at that day, says Jehovah, you shall call Me, My husband; and you shall no more call me, My Baal.

gltv@Hosea:2:17 @ For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth; and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

gltv@Hosea:2:18 @ And in that day I will cut a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and the creeping things of the ground. And I will break the bow and the sword, and the battle out of the earth, and I will make them to lie down safely.

gltv@Hosea:2:19 @ And I will betroth you to Me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in mercy, and in compassions.

gltv@Hosea:2:20 @ I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness. And you shall know Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:2:21 @ And it shall be in that day, I will answer, says Jehovah. I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth.

gltv@Hosea:2:22 @ And the earth shall hear the grain, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

gltv@Hosea:2:23 @ And I will sow her to Me in the earth. And I will have mercy on No Mercy. And I will say to Not My People, You are My people! And they shall say, My God!

gltv@Hosea:3:1 @ And Jehovah said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by a friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of Jehovah toward the sons of Israel, who turn to other gods, and love raisin cakes of grapes.

gltv@Hosea:3:2 @ So I bought her for myself with fifteen pieces of silver, and for a homer of barley, and a half of barley.

gltv@Hosea:3:3 @ And I said to her, You shall stay with me many days. You shall not be a harlot, nor be to a man; and I also will be for you.

gltv@Hosea:3:4 @ For the sons of Israel shall stay many days with no king and no ruler, and with no sacrifice, and no pillars, and no ephod or teraphim.

gltv@Hosea:3:5 @ Afterward the sons of Israel shall return and seek Jehovah their God and David their king. And they shall fear Jehovah and His goodness in the ends of the days.

gltv@Hosea:4:1 @ Sons of Israel, hear the word of Jehovah, for Jehovah has a quarrel with the inhabitants of the land; for there is no truth, and no mercy, and no knowledge of God in the land.

gltv@Hosea:4:2 @ Swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and the committing of adultery increase. And blood touches against blood.

gltv@Hosea:4:3 @ On account of this the land shall mourn, and every one living in it shall droop, with the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven; yes, also the fish of the sea shall be removed.

gltv@Hosea:4:4 @ Yet let not a man strive with nor reprove a man. For your people are as a priest striven with.

gltv@Hosea:4:5 @ And you shall stumble in the day, and the prophet also shall stumble with you at night, and I will cut off your mother.

gltv@Hosea:4:6 @ My people are cut off for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your sons, even I.

gltv@Hosea:4:7 @ As they were increased, so they sinned against Me. I will change their glory into shame.

gltv@Hosea:4:8 @ They eat up the sin of My people, and they lift their vitality to their iniquity.

gltv@Hosea:4:9 @ And it will be, Like people, like priest. And I will visit their ways on them and repay them for their deeds.

gltv@Hosea:4:10 @ For they shall eat and not have enough. They shall fornicate and not increase, because they have ceased heeding Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:4:11 @ Fornication and wine, and new wine, take away the heart.

gltv@Hosea:4:12 @ My people seek advice by their wooden idols, and their rod declares to them. For the spirit of harlotry has led them astray, and they fornicated from under their God.

gltv@Hosea:4:13 @ They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains and burn incense on the hills, under oak and poplar and terebinth, because its shade is good. On account of this, your daughters shall prostitute, and your brides shall commit adultery.

gltv@Hosea:4:14 @ I will not punish your daughters when they fornicate, nor your brides when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go aside with harlots, and they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. The people who do not understand are thrust down.

gltv@Hosea:4:15 @ Israel, though you fornicate, do not let Judah become guilty. And do not come to Gilgal, nor go up to Beth-aven, nor swear, As Jehovah lives.

gltv@Hosea:4:16 @ For Israel rebels, like a rebellious heifer. Now Jehovah will feed them as a lamb in a roomy place.

gltv@Hosea:4:17 @ Ephraim is joined to idols. Let him alone.

gltv@Hosea:4:18 @ Their drink is sour. They are continually fornicating. Her shields dearly love shame.

gltv@Hosea:4:19 @ The wind binds her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.

gltv@Hosea:5:1 @ Hear this, O priests, and listen, house of Israel. And give ear, house of the king. For the judgment is toward you, because you have been a snare to Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.

gltv@Hosea:5:2 @ And revolters have gone deep in slaughtering, and I chasten all of them.

gltv@Hosea:5:3 @ I know Ephraim, and Israel has not hidden from me. For now, O Ephraim, you have fornicated; Israel is defiled.

gltv@Hosea:5:4 @ Their doings will not allow them to turn to their God. For the spirit of fornication is in their midst, and they do not know Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:5:5 @ And the pride of Israel answers to his face. So Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity. Judah shall also stumble with them.

gltv@Hosea:5:6 @ They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah, but they shall not find; He has withdrawn Himself from them.

gltv@Hosea:5:7 @ They have acted treacherously against Jehovah, for they have brought forth strange sons. Now a new moon shall devour them with their portions.

gltv@Hosea:5:8 @ Blow a horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah. Cry aloud, Bethaven; after you, O Benjamin.

gltv@Hosea:5:9 @ Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of correction. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which is confirmed.

gltv@Hosea:5:10 @ The rulers of Judah were as movers of a border; I will pour out My wrath on them like water.

gltv@Hosea:5:11 @ Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment; because he was pleased, he walked after the command.

gltv@Hosea:5:12 @ Therefore, I am as a moth to Ephraim, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

gltv@Hosea:5:13 @ When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb. Yet he could not heal you, nor did he cure you of your wound.

gltv@Hosea:5:14 @ For I am to Ephraim as the lion, and as the young lion to the house of Judah; I, even I, tear and go; I take away, and no one rescues.

gltv@Hosea:5:15 @ I will go; I will return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face. In their affliction they will seek Me diligently.

gltv@Hosea:6:1 @ Come and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

gltv@Hosea:6:2 @ After two days He will bring us to life. In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him.

gltv@Hosea:6:3 @ Then we shall know, we who follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is established as the dawn. And He shall come to us as the rain, as the latter and former rain to the earth.

gltv@Hosea:6:4 @ O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? For your goodness is like a morning cloud, and it goes away like the early dew.

gltv@Hosea:6:5 @ So I have hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and your judgments have been as the light that goes forth.

gltv@Hosea:6:6 @ For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

gltv@Hosea:6:7 @ But, like Adam, they have broken the covenant; they have acted like traitors against Me there.

gltv@Hosea:6:8 @ Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity, slippery with blood marks.

gltv@Hosea:6:9 @ And as troops of robbers wait for a man, the company of priests murder in the way to Shechem; for they have done wickedness.

gltv@Hosea:6:10 @ I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: the fornication of Ephraim is there; Israel is defiled.

gltv@Hosea:6:11 @ Also, O Judah, a harvest is appointed to you, when I return the captivity of My people.

gltv@Hosea:7:1 @ When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered, and the evil of Samaria. For they have worked falsehood; and a thief comes; a troop of robbers plunders outside.

gltv@Hosea:7:2 @ And they do not say within their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their own doings have hemmed them in. They are before My face.

gltv@Hosea:7:3 @ They make the king glad with their evil, and the rulers with their lies.

gltv@Hosea:7:4 @ They are all adulterers, like an oven heated by the baker; he ceases from stirring, from kneading the dough while it is leavened.

gltv@Hosea:7:5 @ In the day of our king, the rulers have sickened themselves with the heat of wine. He stretches out his hand with scorners.

gltv@Hosea:7:6 @ For they have brought their heart near, like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps all night; in the morning, it burns like a flaming fire.

gltv@Hosea:7:7 @ They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen; not one among them calls to Me.

gltv@Hosea:7:8 @ Ephraim mixed himself among the peoples. Ephraim is a cake not turned.

gltv@Hosea:7:9 @ Strangers have eaten up his strength, yet he does not know. Yea, gray hairs are sprinkled here and there on him, yet he does not know.

gltv@Hosea:7:10 @ And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. And they do not return to Jehovah their God, nor seek Him in all this.

gltv@Hosea:7:11 @ Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart; they call to Egypt; they go to Assyria.

gltv@Hosea:7:12 @ When they go, I will spread My net over them; I will bring them down like the birds of the heavens; I will chastise them, as a report to their congregation.

gltv@Hosea:7:13 @ Woe to them! For they have fled from Me. Ruin to them! For they have transgressed against Me. Though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against Me.

gltv@Hosea:7:14 @ And they have not cried to Me with their heart, when they howled on their beds. They gather themselves for grain and wine; they turn against Me.

gltv@Hosea:7:15 @ Though I bound, I made their arms strong; yet they think evil against Me.

gltv@Hosea:7:16 @ They return, but not to the Most High. They are like a treacherous bow. Their rulers shall fall by the sword, from the rage of the tongue. This shall be their scorn in the land of Egypt.

gltv@Hosea:8:1 @ Put a horn to your mouth. He comes like an eagle against the house of Jehovah, because they have broken My covenant and have sinned against My law.

gltv@Hosea:8:2 @ Israel shall cry to Me, My God, we know You.

gltv@Hosea:8:3 @ Israel has thrown off good; the enemy shall pursue him.

gltv@Hosea:8:4 @ They have set up kings, but not by Me. They have made rulers, but I did not know. They made idols for themselves with their silver and their gold, so that they may be cut off.

gltv@Hosea:8:5 @ O Samaria, your calf has cast you off. My anger is kindled against them. Until when will they not attain purity?

gltv@Hosea:8:6 @ For it also came from Israel: The craftsman made it, but it is not God. For the calf of Samaria shall be splinters.

gltv@Hosea:8:7 @ For they sow the wind, and they reap the whirlwind. He has no stalk; the bud shall make no flour. If it does make it, strangers will swallow it up.

gltv@Hosea:8:8 @ Israel is swallowed up. They are now among the nations as a vessel in which is no pleasure.

gltv@Hosea:8:9 @ For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself. Ephraim has hired lovers.

gltv@Hosea:8:10 @ Yes, though they have hired among the nations, now I will gather them. And they began to be few, from the burden of the king of rulers.

gltv@Hosea:8:11 @ Because Ephraim has made many altars to sin, they are altars to him to sin.

gltv@Hosea:8:12 @ I will write the great things of My law for him. They were counted as a strange thing.

gltv@Hosea:8:13 @ They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of My offerings, and they eat. Jehovah did not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.

gltv@Hosea:8:14 @ For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples. And Judah has multiplied fortified cities. But I will send a fire on his cities, and it shall burn up her palaces.

gltv@Hosea:9:1 @ O Israel, do not rejoice for joy, like the peoples. For you have gone lusting away from your God. You have loved a reward on all threshing-floors of grain.

gltv@Hosea:9:2 @ The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

gltv@Hosea:9:3 @ They shall not live in the land of Jehovah. But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

gltv@Hosea:9:4 @ They shall not offer wine to Jehovah. They shall not be pleasing to Him. Their sacrifices shall be like the bread of sorrows to them; all who eat it shall be defiled, for their bread is for their person; it shall not come into the house of Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:9:5 @ What will you do in the day of meeting, and in the day of the feast of Jehovah?

gltv@Hosea:9:6 @ For, lo, they have gone from destruction. Egypt shall gather them; Memphis shall bury them. Nettles shall possess the desirable things of their silver; thorns shall be in their tents.

gltv@Hosea:9:7 @ The days of her visitation have come; the days of retribution have come. Israel shall know. The prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is insane, because of the greatness of your iniquity and your great hatred

gltv@Hosea:9:8 @ Ephraim is a watchman with my God. The prophet is a snare of a fowler on all his ways; hatred is in the house of his God.

gltv@Hosea:9:9 @ They have deeply corrupted, as in days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

gltv@Hosea:9:10 @ I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the firstfruit in the fig tree at her first time. They came to Baal-peor and set themselves apart to a shameful thing. And they became hateful like that which they loved.

gltv@Hosea:9:11 @ Ephraim is like a bird; their glory shall fly away, from birth, and from the womb, and from conception.

gltv@Hosea:9:12 @ Though they nourish their sons, yet I will make them childless, without a man. Yea, woe also to them when I turn away from them!

gltv@Hosea:9:13 @ As when I looked toward Tyre, Ephraim was planted in a pleasant place. But Ephraim shall bring forth his sons to the slayer.

gltv@Hosea:9:14 @ O Jehovah, give them. What will you give them? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

gltv@Hosea:9:15 @ All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them out of My house for the wickedness of their doings, I will not love them again; all their rulers are revolters.

gltv@Hosea:9:16 @ Ephraim is stricken; their root is dried up; they shall bear no fruit. Yea, though they bear, yet I will kill the beloved ones of their womb.

gltv@Hosea:9:17 @ My God shall reject them because they did not listen to Him; and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

gltv@Hosea:10:1 @ Israel is a luxuriant vine; he bears fruit for himself. According to the plenty of his fruit he has increased the altars. They have made beautiful images according to the goodness of his land.

gltv@Hosea:10:2 @ their heart is divided. Now they shall be guilty. He will break down their altars; He will spoil their pillars.

gltv@Hosea:10:3 @ For now they shall say, We have no king, because we did not fear Jehovah. What then should a king do for us?

gltv@Hosea:10:4 @ They have spoken words, swearing falsely to cut a covenant. So judgment springs up like hemlock in the furrows of the field.

gltv@Hosea:10:5 @ The people of Samaria shall dread because of the calves of Beth-aven. For its people shall mourn over it; also its priests who rejoiced on it for its glory, because it has departed from it.

gltv@Hosea:10:6 @ It shall also be carried to Assyria, a present to king Jareb. Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

gltv@Hosea:10:7 @ Samaria is cut off; her king is as a bough on the face of the water.

gltv@Hosea:10:8 @ Also, the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed. The thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars. And they shall say to the mountains, Cover us! and to the hills, Fall on us!

gltv@Hosea:10:9 @ O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah. There they stood. The battle against the sons of iniquity did not overtake them in Gibeah.

gltv@Hosea:10:10 @ When I desire, I shall bind them; and the peoples shall be gathered against them, when they bind themselves to their two perversities.

gltv@Hosea:10:11 @ And Ephraim is a trained heifer, loving to tread out. But I passed over on the goodness of her neck; I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow; Jacob shall break clods for him.

gltv@Hosea:10:12 @ Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap as mercy. Break up your plowed ground. For it is time to seek Jehovah, until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

gltv@Hosea:10:13 @ You have plowed wickedness; you have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies because you trusted in your way, in the multitude of your mighty men.

gltv@Hosea:10:14 @ And an uproar shall rise up among your peoples. And all your strongholds shall be spoiled, as the ruin of Beth-arbel in the day of battle. The mother was dashed in pieces on her sons.

gltv@Hosea:10:15 @ So He does to you, Bethel, because of your great evil. In the dawn, the king of Israel shall be completely cut off.

gltv@Hosea:11:1 @ When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and I called My son out of Egypt.

gltv@Hosea:11:2 @ As they called to them, so they went from their face. They sacrifice to the Baals, and burn incense to graven images.

gltv@Hosea:11:3 @ I also taught Ephraim to go; He took them on His arms. But they did not know that I healed them.

gltv@Hosea:11:4 @ I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love. And I was to them as those who lift off the yoke on their jaws; and I gently give food to him.

gltv@Hosea:11:5 @ He shall not return to the land of Egypt, but he of Assyria shall be his king, because they refused to return.

gltv@Hosea:11:6 @ And the sword shall grieve in his cities, and shall destroy his bars, and shall consume, because of their own counsels.

gltv@Hosea:11:7 @ And My people are bent on backsliding from Me. And they call him to the Most High; no one at all would exalt Him.

gltv@Hosea:11:8 @ How shall I give you up, Ephraim? Shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you like Admah? Shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart has turned within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

gltv@Hosea:11:9 @ I will not carry out the heat of My anger; I will not return to destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not a man, the Holy One in your midst. And I will not enter into the city.

gltv@Hosea:11:10 @ They shall walk after Jehovah; He shall roar as a lion. When He roars, then sons shall tremble from the west.

gltv@Hosea:11:11 @ They trembled like a bird from Egypt, and like a dove from the land of Assyria. And I will make them live in their houses, says Jehovah.

gltv@Hosea:11:12 @ Ephraim circles around Me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah still rules with God and is faithful with the saints.

gltv@Hosea:12:1 @ Ephraim feeds on wind, and follows after the east wind; all the day he multiplies lies and ruin. And they cut a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.

gltv@Hosea:12:2 @ Jehovah also has a quarrel with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds.

gltv@Hosea:12:3 @ He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he contended with God.

gltv@Hosea:12:4 @ Yes, he wept and pleaded to Him, and he contended with the Angel and overcame. He found us at Bethel, and He spoke with us there,

gltv@Hosea:12:5 @ even Jehovah, the God of hosts. Jehovah is his memorial.

gltv@Hosea:12:6 @ For this reason, you return to your God; keep mercy and judgment, and wait on your God continually.

gltv@Hosea:12:7 @ He is a merchant; the scales of deceit are in his hand; he loves to oppress.

gltv@Hosea:12:8 @ And Ephraim said, I am rich; I have found much wealth for myself. In all my labors they shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.

gltv@Hosea:12:9 @ And I am Jehovah, your God from the land of Egypt; yet I will make you live in tents, as in the days of appointed assembly.

gltv@Hosea:12:10 @ I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the hand of the prophets use parables.

gltv@Amos:5:8 @ He who created the Pleiades and Orion, and turns the deep darkness into the morning, and He darkened the day into night; who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out on the face of the earth, Jehovah is His name;

gltv@Amos:5:9 @ who flashes out with destruction on the strong; yea, destruction comes on the fortress.

gltv@Amos:5:10 @ They hate him who rebukes in the gate, and they despise him who speaks uprightly.

gltv@Amos:5:11 @ So, because of your trampling on the poor, and you take tribute of grain from him. You have built houses of hewn stones, but you shall not dwell in them; you have planted desirable vineyards, but you shall not drink wine from them.

gltv@Amos:5:12 @ For I know your many transgressions, and your many sins: afflicting the just, taking of a bribe, and turning aside the poor in the gate.

gltv@Amos:5:13 @ So the understanding ones shall keep silent in that time, for it is an evil time.

gltv@Amos:5:14 @ Seek good and not evil, that you may live; and so Jehovah the God of hosts shall be with you, as you have spoken.

gltv@Amos:5:15 @ Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate. It may be that Jehovah the God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

gltv@Amos:5:16 @ So Jehovah, the God of Hosts, the Lord, says this: Wailing shall be in all streets, and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! Alas! And they shall call the farmer to the mourning, and those knowing wailing to lamentation.

gltv@Amos:6:1 @ Woe to those at ease in Zion, and those trusting in the mountain of Samaria, those noted as the leader of the nations! And the house of Israel came to them.

gltv@Amos:6:2 @ Cross to Calneh and see; and from there go to the great Hamath; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are they better than these kingdoms, or their border than your border?

gltv@Amos:6:3 @ You who put the evil day far away, and cause the seat of violence to come near,

gltv@Amos:6:4 @ who lie on beds of ivory and stretch themselves on their couches; and those eating the lambs from the flock, and bull calves from the midst of the stall;

gltv@Amos:6:5 @ those chanting with the mouth of the harp; they invent instruments of song for themselves like David;

gltv@Amos:6:6 @ who drink bowls of wine, and they anoint with the best of oils; but they are not grieved for the breaking of Joseph!

gltv@Amos:6:7 @ So now they shall go into exile with the first of the exiles, and the feast of those who stretch themselves shall cease.

gltv@Amos:6:8 @ The Lord Jehovah has sworn by Himself, declares Jehovah, the God of hosts: I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will shut up the city and its fullness.

gltv@Amos:6:9 @ And it shall be, if ten men remain in one house, then they shall die.

gltv@Amos:6:10 @ And his uncle shall lift him up, and he who burns him, to bring out the bones from the house; and he shall say to that one left in the recesses of the house, Are any still with you? And he shall say, No. Then he shall say, Hush! For not one shall mention the name of Jehovah.

gltv@Amos:7:9 @ And the high places of Isaac shall be desolated, and the holy places of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

gltv@Amos:7:10 @ Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent to Jeroboam, the king of Israel, saying, has plotted against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to endure all his words.

gltv@Amos:7:16 @ Now, then, hear the word of Jehovah: You say, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not drop words against the house of Isaac.

gltv@Amos:7:17 @ So Jehovah says this: Your wife shall be a harlot in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by a line. And you shall die in a defiled land. And Israel shall surely go into exile from his land.

gltv@Amos:8:7 @ Jehovah has sworn by the Pride of Jacob, Surely I will not ever forget all their works.

gltv@Amos:8:8 @ Shall not the land tremble for this, and all who dwell in it mourn? And all of it shall rise up like the light, and it shall overflow and sink like the Nile of Egypt.

gltv@Amos:8:9 @ And it shall be in that day, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in light of the day.

gltv@Amos:8:10 @ And I will turn your feasts to mourning, and all your songs into a dirge. And I will bring up sackcloth on all loins, and baldness on every head. And I will make it like the mourning for an only one; and the end of it shall be like a bitter day.

gltv@Amos:8:11 @ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord Jehovah, that I will send a famine into the land, not a famine for bread, nor a thirst for water, but rather a famine for hearing the words of Jehovah.

gltv@Amos:9:1 @ I saw the Lord standing by the altar. And He said, Strike the capital of the door, and the thresholds will shake; and break them on the head of all of them. And I will kill the last of them with the sword. Not one of them who flees will flee, and not a fugitive of them will escape.

gltv@Amos:9:2 @ And if they dig through into Sheol, from there My hand will take them. And if they go up to the heavens, from there I will bring them down.

gltv@Amos:9:3 @ And if they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there. And if they hide from My eyes in the bottom of the sea, from there I will command the serpent, and he will bite them.

gltv@Amos:9:4 @ And if they go into exile before their enemies, from there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. And I will set My eyes on them for evil, and not for good.

gltv@Jonah:1:4 @ But Jehovah hurled a great wind into the sea, and there was a great storm in the sea, and the ship was thought to be broken.

gltv@Jonah:1:5 @ And the sailors were afraid, and each man cried to his god. And they threw out the ship's articles into the sea, to lighten it off of them. But had gone down into the hold of the ship; and he lay down, and was sound asleep.

gltv@Jonah:1:6 @ And the chief of the seamen came near to him and said to him, What is it to you, O sound sleeper? Rise up and cry out to your God! It may be our god will notice us, and we will not perish.

gltv@Jonah:1:7 @ And they said, each man to his companion, Come and let us cast lots, that we may know on whose account this evil occurred to us. And they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

gltv@Jonah:1:10 @ And the men were terrified with fear and said to him, What is this you have done? For the men knew that he was fleeing from before the face of Jehovah, because he had told them.

gltv@Jonah:1:11 @ And they said to him, What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm from on us? For the sea was going on and being stormy.

gltv@Jonah:1:12 @ And he said to them, Take me up and throw me out into the sea. And the sea will be calm from on you. For I know that this great storm is on you on account of me.

gltv@Jonah:1:13 @ But the men rowed to return to the dry land, but they were not able, for the sea was going on and being stormy against them.

gltv@Jonah:1:14 @ And they cried out to Jehovah, and said, We beseech You, O Jehovah, we beseech You, do not let us perish for this man's life, and do not lay innocent blood on us. For You, O Jehovah, have done as You desired.

gltv@Jonah:1:15 @ And they lifted up and threw him into the sea. And the sea ceased from its raging.

gltv@Jonah:1:16 @ Then the men feared Jehovah with a great fear and offered a sacrifice to Jehovah, and vowed vows.

gltv@Jonah:1:17 @ And Jehovah had appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah. And was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

gltv@Jonah:2:2 @ And he said, I cried out to Jehovah from my distress. And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried for help, and You heard my voice.

gltv@Jonah:2:8 @ Those who observe vanities of idolatry forsake their faithfulness;

gltv@Jonah:2:9 @ but I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will fulfill that which I have vowed. Salvation belongs to Jehovah!

gltv@Jonah:2:10 @ And Jehovah spoke to the fish, and it vomited out onto the dry land.

gltv@Jonah:3:1 @ And the word of Jehovah was to the second time, saying,

gltv@Jonah:3:2 @ Rise up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out to it the proclamation that I am declaring to you.

gltv@Jonah:3:3 @ And rose up and went to Nineveh according to the word of Jehovah. And Nineveh was a great city to God, of three days' journey.

gltv@Jonah:3:4 @ And began to enter a day's journey into the city. And he cried out and said, Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown!

gltv@Jonah:3:5 @ And the men of Nineveh believed in God, and they called a fast and put on sackclothes, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

gltv@Jonah:3:10 @ And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had declared to do to them, and He did not do it.

gltv@Jonah:4:2 @ And he prayed to Jehovah, and said, Please, O Jehovah, was this not my word while I was on my own land? On account of this, I fled to Tarshish before, for I knew that You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and One who repents over calamity.

gltv@Jonah:4:5 @ And went out from the city and sat on the east of the city. And he made there a booth for himself and sat under it in the shade until he should see what would happen in the city.

gltv@Jonah:4:6 @ And Jehovah God appointed a plant, and it came up over to be shade over his head, in order to deliver him from his misery. And rejoiced over the plant with great joy.

gltv@Zechariah:2:6 @ Ho! Ho! Flee then from the land of the north, says Jehovah. For I have scattered you as the four winds of the heavens, declares Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:2:7 @ Ho, O Zion! Escape, you who live with the daughter of Babylon.

gltv@Zechariah:2:8 @ For so says Jehovah of hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.

gltv@Zechariah:2:9 @ For, behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall be a prize for their servants. And you shall know that Jehovah has sent Me.

gltv@Zechariah:2:10 @ Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion. For, lo, I come; and I will dwell among you, says Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:2:11 @ And many nations shall be joined to Jehovah in that day, and they shall be My people. And I will dwell among you; and you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent Me to you.

gltv@Zechariah:2:12 @ And Jehovah shall possess Judah, His portion in the holy land, and He shall again choose Jerusalem.

gltv@Zechariah:2:13 @ All flesh, be silent before Jehovah. For He is raised up out of His holy habitation.

gltv@Zechariah:3:1 @ And he made me see Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

gltv@Zechariah:3:2 @ And Jehovah said to Satan, Jehovah rebuke you, Satan! And, Jehovah who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked out of the fire?

gltv@Zechariah:3:3 @ And Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and he stood before the Angel.

gltv@Zechariah:3:4 @ And He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And He said to him, Behold, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with ceremonial robes.

gltv@Zechariah:3:5 @ And I said, Let them set a clean turban on his head. And they set a clean turban on his head and clothed him with clothing. And the Angel of Jehovah stood by.

gltv@Zechariah:3:6 @ And the Angel of Jehovah charged Joshua, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:3:7 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My charge, then you shall also judge My house, and shall also keep My courts, and I will give you room to walk among these who stand by.

gltv@Zechariah:3:8 @ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your associates who are sitting before you; for they are men of symbol.

gltv@Zechariah:3:9 @ For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

gltv@Zechariah:3:10 @ In that day, says Jehovah of hosts, you shall invite each man to his neighbor to sit under the vine and under the fig tree.

gltv@Zechariah:4:1 @ And the angel who was speaking with me returned and awakened me, as a man is awakened out of his sleep.

gltv@Zechariah:4:2 @ And he said to me, What do you see? And I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand, all of it gold, and a bowl on its top, and its seven lamps on it, and seven spouts each to the seven lamps on its top;

gltv@Zechariah:4:3 @ and two olive trees are beside it, one on the right of the bowl, and one on its left.

gltv@Zechariah:4:4 @ And I answered and spoke to the angel who was talking with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

gltv@Zechariah:4:5 @ And the angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

gltv@Zechariah:4:6 @ Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says Jehovah of hosts.

gltv@Zechariah:4:7 @ Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts: Grace! Grace to it!

gltv@Zechariah:4:8 @ And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:4:9 @ The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it. And you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you.

gltv@Zechariah:4:10 @ For who has despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice and shall see the plummet stone in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of Jehovah; they run to and fro through all the earth.

gltv@Zechariah:4:11 @ And I answered and said to him, What are these two olive trees on the right of the lampstand, and on its left?

gltv@Zechariah:4:12 @ And I answered a second time and said to him, What are the two clusters of olives beside the two golden pipes, emptying the golden oil from themselves?

gltv@Zechariah:4:13 @ And he spoke to me, saying, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

gltv@Zechariah:4:14 @ And he said, These are the two sons of fresh oil who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

gltv@Zechariah:5:1 @ And I again lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, a flying scroll!

gltv@Zechariah:5:2 @ And he said to me, What do you see? And I answered, I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.

gltv@Zechariah:5:3 @ And he said to me, This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth. For from now on everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it; and everyone who swears from now on shall be cut off according to it.

gltv@Zechariah:5:4 @ And I will bring it forth, says Jehovah of hosts. And it shall go into the house of the thief, and into the house of the one who swears falsely by My name. And it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall devour it, and its timber, and its stones.

gltv@Zechariah:5:5 @ Then the angel who was speaking with me went out, and said to me, Now lift up your eyes and see what this is that goes forth.

gltv@Zechariah:5:6 @ And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah that goes forth. And he said, This is their form in all the earth.

gltv@Zechariah:5:7 @ And, behold, a lead cover was lifted up, and a woman was sitting in the middle of the ephah.

gltv@Zechariah:5:8 @ And he said, This is wickedness. And he threw her into the midst of the ephah; and he threw the lead stone over its opening.

gltv@Zechariah:5:9 @ And I lifted up my eyes and looked. And, behold, two women came out. And the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of the stork. And they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.

gltv@Zechariah:5:11 @ And he said to me, To build a house for it in the land of Shinar; and it shall be fixed and established there on its own place.

gltv@Zechariah:6:1 @ And again my eyes lifted up and looked, and, behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

gltv@Zechariah:6:2 @ With the first chariot were red horses, and with the second chariot black horses,

gltv@Zechariah:6:3 @ and with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth dappled and strong colored horses.

gltv@Zechariah:6:5 @ And the angel answered and said to me, These are the four spirits of Heaven who go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

gltv@Zechariah:6:6 @ The black horses in it go into the north country, and the white go after them; and the dappled ones go toward the south country.

gltv@Zechariah:6:7 @ And the strong colored ones went forth and sought to go, to walk to and fro in the earth. And he said, Go! Walk to and fro in the earth. So they walked to and fro in the earth.

gltv@Zechariah:6:8 @ And he cried out to me, and spoke to me, saying, Behold, these who go toward the north country have caused My Spirit to rest in the north country.

gltv@Zechariah:6:10 @ Take from Heldai, from Tobijah, and from Jedaiah, from the exiles who have come from Babylon; and in that day you go and enter into the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.

gltv@Zechariah:6:11 @ And take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

gltv@Zechariah:6:12 @ And speak to him, saying, So says Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold! The Man whose name is THE BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:6:13 @ Even He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the majesty, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between the two of them.

gltv@Zechariah:6:14 @ And the crowns shall be for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah, to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen, the son of Zephaniah.

gltv@Zechariah:6:15 @ And the distant ones shall come and build in the temple of Jehovah. And you shall know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall be, if you will diligently obey the voice of Jehovah your God.

gltv@Zechariah:7:1 @ And in the fourth year of king Darius, the word of Jehovah was to Zechariah, in the fourth of the ninth month, in Chislev.

gltv@Zechariah:7:2 @ And Sharezer and Regem-melech, and his men, had sent to Bethel to seek the favor of the face of Jehovah,

gltv@Zechariah:7:3 @ to speak to the priests who belong to the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, consecrating myself as I have done these many years?

gltv@Zechariah:7:4 @ The word of Jehovah of hosts was to me, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:7:5 @ Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months, even those seventy years, did you truly fast to Me, even to Me?

gltv@Zechariah:7:6 @ And when you ate, and when you drank, was it not for those eating, and for those drinking?

gltv@Zechariah:7:7 @ Are not these the words which Jehovah proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited, and prosperous with her cities all around her, and the Negeb and the Shephelah were inhabited?

gltv@Zechariah:7:8 @ And the word of Jehovah was to Zechariah, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:7:9 @ So says Jehovah of hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and practice kindness and pity, each man with his brother.

gltv@Zechariah:7:10 @ And do not oppress the widow, or the fatherless, the alien, or the poor. And do not devise evil in your heart, of a man against his brother.

gltv@Zechariah:7:11 @ But they refused to listen, and gave a stubborn shoulder, and they made their ears heavy from hearing.

gltv@Zechariah:7:12 @ And they made their heart adamant from hearing the law and the words which Jehovah of hosts has sent by the former prophets through His Spirit. And great wrath was from Jehovah of hosts.

gltv@Zechariah:7:13 @ And it will be, just as He called, and they did not listen; so they called, and I did not listen, says Jehovah of hosts.

gltv@Zechariah:7:14 @ But I stormed them away on all the nations whom they did not know. And the land is desolated behind them, from passing and from returning; for they made the land of desire a waste.

gltv@Zechariah:8:1 @ And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:8:2 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great wrath.

gltv@Zechariah:8:3 @ So says Jehovah: I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth, and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, the holy mountain.

gltv@Zechariah:8:4 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet be old men and old women sitting in the streets of Jerusalem; and each man with his staff in his hand because of their many days.

gltv@Zechariah:8:5 @ And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.

gltv@Zechariah:8:6 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be marvelous in My eyes? says Jehovah of hosts.

gltv@Zechariah:8:7 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will save My people from the rising sun and from the land of the setting sun.

gltv@Zechariah:8:8 @ And I will bring them, and they shall live in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be for a people to Me, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.

gltv@Zechariah:8:9 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, that in the day the house of Jehovah of hosts is laid, the temple is to be built.

gltv@Zechariah:8:10 @ For before those days there was no payment for man, nor was there payment for animal; and there was no peace to him from the adversary who went out or came in. For I sent every man, a man against his neighbor.

gltv@Zechariah:8:11 @ But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in former days, says Jehovah of hosts.

gltv@Zechariah:8:12 @ For there shall be peace for the seed: the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its produce, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these.

gltv@Zechariah:8:13 @ And it shall be, as you were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Do not fear; let your hands be strong.

gltv@Zechariah:8:14 @ For so says Jehovah of hosts: As I purposed to punish you when your fathers provoked Me to wrath, says Jehovah of hosts. And I did not repent,

gltv@Zechariah:8:15 @ So again I have purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem, and the house of Judah. Do not fear.

gltv@Zechariah:8:16 @ These are the things that you shall do. Let each man speak the truth with his neighbor. Judge with truth and justice for peace in your gates,

gltv@Zechariah:8:17 @ and let each devise no evil in your heart against his neighbor, and do not love a false oath. For all these I hate, says Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:8:18 @ And the word of Jehovah of hosts was to me, saying,

gltv@Zechariah:8:19 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become for joy and gladness and cheerful feasts to the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.

gltv@Zechariah:8:20 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet come peoples, and inhabitants of many cities.

gltv@Zechariah:8:21 @ And the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, Let us go at once to seek the favor of the face of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of hosts; I will go also.

gltv@Zechariah:8:22 @ And many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem, and to seek the favor of the face of Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:8:23 @ So says Jehovah of hosts: In those days ten men out of all languages of the nations shall take hold, and will seize the skirt of a man, a Jew, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

gltv@Zechariah:9:1 @ The burden of the word of Jehovah against the land of Hadrach, and its resting place, Damascus, (when the eye of man, and all the tribes of Israel shall be toward Jehovah),

gltv@Zechariah:9:2 @ and Hamath also borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.

gltv@Zechariah:9:3 @ And Tyre shall build a fortress for herself, and shall pile up silver like the dust, and gold like the mud of the streets.

gltv@Zechariah:9:4 @ Behold! The Lord will expel her, and He will strike her wealth in the sea, and she shall be consumed with fire.

gltv@Zechariah:9:5 @ Ashkelon shall see and fear; Gaza also shall writhe in great pain; and Ekron shall be ashamed for her hope. And the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

gltv@Zechariah:9:6 @ And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

gltv@Zechariah:9:7 @ And I will take away his bloods out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth. But the remnant, even he, shall be for our God. And he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron, like a Jebusite.

gltv@Zechariah:9:8 @ And I will camp around My house because of an army, because of him who passed by, and because of him who returns. And no tyrant shall pass through them any more. For now I have seen with My eyes.

gltv@Zechariah:9:9 @ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

gltv@Zechariah:9:10 @ And I Will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. And the battle bow shall be cut off, and He shall speak peace to the nations. And His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

gltv@Zechariah:9:11 @ Also you, by the blood of your covenant I have freed your prisoners from the pit; no water is in it.

gltv@Zechariah:9:12 @ Turn to the stronghold, O prisoners of hope! Even today I declare I will return double to you.

gltv@Zechariah:9:13 @ For I have bent Judah for Me as a bow; I filled it with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and make you as the sword of a mighty man.

gltv@Zechariah:9:14 @ Then Jehovah will be seen over them, and His arrow shall go out as lightning; and the Lord Jehovah shall blow the ram's horn and shall go forth with the windstorms of the south.

gltv@Zechariah:9:15 @ Jehovah of hosts shall defend them. And they shall devour and trample on the slingstones. And they shall drink and be boisterous, as with wine. And they shall be full like a bowl, like the corners of the altar.

gltv@Zechariah:10:1 @ Ask rain from Jehovah in the time of the latter rain. Jehovah shall make storm clouds; and He gives them showers of rain, grass to everyone in the field.

gltv@Zechariah:10:2 @ For the family idols speak iniquity, and the diviners have seen a lie and have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. On account of this, they wandered like a flock. They were troubled because there was no shepherd.

gltv@Zechariah:10:3 @ My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats. For Jehovah of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah and made them as His splendid horse in battle.

gltv@Zechariah:10:4 @ From Him came the cornerstone, from Him the nail, from Him came the battle bow, and from Him every ruler together.

gltv@Zechariah:10:5 @ And they shall be like mighty ones who trample the mud of the streets in the battle. And they shall fight because Jehovah is with them, and they shall make the riders of horses ashamed.

gltv@Zechariah:10:6 @ And I will make stronger the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. And I will bring them back again to live, for I have pity on them. And they shall be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Jehovah their God, and I will answer them.

gltv@Zechariah:10:7 @ And Ephraim shall be like a mighty one, and their heart shall be glad as by wine. And their sons shall see and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:10:8 @ I will whistle for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. And they shall multiply as they were multiplied.

gltv@Zechariah:10:9 @ And I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries, and they shall live with their sons and return.

gltv@Zechariah:10:10 @ And I will return to save them out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, for room shall not be found for them.

gltv@Zechariah:10:11 @ And He shall pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up. And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall go away.

gltv@Zechariah:11:1 @ Open your doors, O Lebanon, so that the fire may devour your cedars.

gltv@Zechariah:11:2 @ Howl, fir tree, for the cedar has fallen, because the majestic trees have been destroyed. Howl, O oaks of Bashan, for the inaccessible forest has come down.

gltv@Zechariah:11:3 @ A voice of the wailing of the shepherds is heard, for their splendor is destroyed. A voice of the roaring of young lions is heard, for the pride of Jordan is destroyed.

gltv@Zechariah:11:4 @ For so says Jehovah my God: Feed the flock of the slaughter.

gltv@Zechariah:11:5 @ Those who buy them kill them and are not held guilty. And those who sell them say, Blessed be Jehovah, for I am rich. And their shepherds do not pity them.

gltv@Zechariah:11:6 @ For I will never again pity the inhabitants of the land, says Jehovah. But, lo, I will make the men fall, each one into his neighbor's hand, and into his king's hand. And they shall strike the land, and I will not deliver out of their hand.

gltv@Zechariah:11:7 @ And I fed the flock of slaughter, the truly poor of the flock. And I took two staffs for Myself: the one I called Kindness, and the other I called Union. And I fed the flock.

gltv@Zechariah:11:8 @ I also cut off three shepherds in one month. And My soul despised them, and their soul also detested Me.

gltv@Zechariah:11:9 @ Then I said, I will not feed you; that which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off. And let the rest eat, each woman the flesh of her neighbor.

gltv@Zechariah:11:10 @ And I took My staff Kindness and broke it apart, to break My covenant which I had cut with all the peoples.

gltv@Zechariah:11:11 @ And it was broken in that day, and so the poor of the flock who were watching Me knew that it was the word of Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:11:12 @ And I said to them, If it is good in your eyes, give My price; and if not, let it go. And they weighed My price, thirty pieces of silver.

gltv@Zechariah:11:13 @ And Jehovah said to Me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw it to the potter in the house of Jehovah.

gltv@Zechariah:11:14 @ Then I broke apart My second staff Union, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

gltv@Zechariah:11:15 @ And Jehovah said to me, Again take to yourself the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

gltv@Zechariah:11:16 @ For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land; he shall not visit those who are cut off, nor will he seek the young, nor will he heal that which is broken, nor will he sustain that which stands. But he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear off their hoofs.

gltv@Zechariah:11:17 @ Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the flock! The sword shall be against his arm and against his right eye. His arm shall be completely withered, and his right eye shall be totally darkened.

gltv@Zechariah:12:1 @ The burden of the word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man in his midst.

gltv@Zechariah:12:2 @ Behold! I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the peoples all around, and it shall also be against Judah in the siege against Jerusalem.

gltv@Zechariah:12:3 @ And in that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it shall be slashed. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

gltv@Zechariah:12:4 @ In that day I will strike every horse with panic and his rider with madness, says Jehovah. And I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and I will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.

gltv@Zechariah:12:5 @ And the leaders of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in Jehovah of hosts, their God.

gltv@Zechariah:12:6 @ In that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left hand. And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her place, in Jerusalem.

gltv@Zechariah:12:7 @ Jehovah also shall save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be magnified above Judah.

gltv@Zechariah:12:8 @ In that day Jehovah shall protect around the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.

gltv@Zechariah:12:9 @ And it shall be in that day, I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
