dby@Isaiah:46:7 @ They bear him on the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place; there he standeth, he doth not remove from his place: yea, one crieth unto him, and he answereth not; he saveth him not out of his trouble.

dby@Isaiah:47:14 @ Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.

dby@Isaiah:47:15 @ Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, they that trafficked with thee from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his own quarter; there is none to save thee.

dby@Isaiah:48:2 @ For they are named after the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel: Jehovah of hosts is his name.

dby@Isaiah:48:3 @ I have declared the former things long ago; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I caused them to be heard: I wrought suddenly, and they came to pass.

dby@Isaiah:48:5 @ so I have long ago declared [them] to thee; before they came to pass I caused thee to hear [them]; lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, or my molten image hath commanded them.

dby@Isaiah:48:7 @ they are created now, and not long ago; and before this day thou hast not heard them, lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

dby@Isaiah:48:13 @ Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread abroad the heavens: I call unto them, they stand up together.

dby@Isaiah:48:21 @ And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts; he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them; yea, he clave the rock, and the waters gushed out.

dby@Isaiah:49:9 @ saying to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pasture shall be on all bare hills.

dby@Isaiah:49:10 @ They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor sun smite them; for he that hath mercy on them will lead them, and by the springs of water will he guide them.

dby@Isaiah:49:17 @ Thy sons shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that laid thee waste shall go forth from thee.

dby@Isaiah:49:18 @ Lift up thine eyes round about and behold: they all gather themselves together, they come to thee. As I live, saith Jehovah, thou shalt indeed clothe thee with them all as with an ornament, and bind them on as a bride doth.

dby@Isaiah:49:19 @ For [in] thy waste and thy desolate places, and thy destroyed land, thou shalt even now be too straitened by reason of the inhabitants, and they that swallowed thee up shall be far away.

dby@Isaiah:49:21 @ And thou shalt say in thy heart, Who hath borne me these, seeing I had lost my children and was desolate, an exile, and driven about? and who hath brought up these? behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?

dby@Isaiah:54:15 @ Behold, they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever gathereth together against thee shall fall because of thee.

dby@Isaiah:56:10 @ His watchmen are all of them blind, they are without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs that cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber:

dby@Isaiah:56:11 @ and the dogs are greedy, they know not to be satisfied, and these are shepherds that know not how to discern: they all turn to their own way, every one for his gain, even to the last of them:

dby@Isaiah:59:5 @ They hatch serpents' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

dby@Isaiah:59:6 @ Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

dby@Isaiah:59:7 @ Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths;

dby@Isaiah:61:3 @ to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

dby@Isaiah:65:16 @ so that he who blesseth himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the land shall swear by the God of truth: because the former troubles shall be forgotten, and because they shall be hidden from mine eyes.

dby@Isaiah:65:21 @ And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof:

As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,

dby@Isaiah:66:4 @ I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.

dby@Isaiah:66:5 @ Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.

dby@Jeremiah:2:24 @ -- a wild ass, used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind in her desire! In her ardour, who shall turn her away? All they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

dby@Jeremiah:2:26 @ As a thief is ashamed when he is found, so shall the house of Israel be ashamed -- they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets --

dby@Jeremiah:2:27 @ saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth; for they have turned the back unto me, and not the face; and in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us!

dby@Jeremiah:5:17 @ And they shall eat up thy harvest and thy bread, they shall eat up thy sons and thy daughters, they shall eat up thy flocks and thy herds, they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig-trees; they shall destroy with the sword thy strong cities, wherein thou trustedst.

dby@Jeremiah:5:22 @ Will ye not fear me? saith Jehovah. Will ye not tremble at my presence, who have set the sand a bound for the sea by a perpetual decree, and it shall not pass it? and its waves toss themselves, but they do not prevail; and they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

dby@Jeremiah:5:23 @ But this people hath a stubborn and a rebellious heart; they have turned aside and are gone.

dby@Jeremiah:5:24 @ And they say not in their heart, Let us now fear Jehovah our God, that giveth rain, both the early and the latter, in its season; who preserveth unto us the appointed weeks of harvest.

dby@Jeremiah:5:26 @ For among my people are found wicked [men]: they lay wait, as fowlers stoop down; they set a trap, they catch men.

dby@Jeremiah:6:14 @ And they have healed the breach of the daughter of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace! when there is no peace.

dby@Jeremiah:6:15 @ Are they ashamed that they have committed abomination? Nay, they are not at all ashamed, neither know they what it is to blush. Therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them they shall stumble, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:6:16 @ Thus saith Jehovah: Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the ancient paths, which is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein].

dby@Jeremiah:6:17 @ Also I have set watchmen over you: -- Hearken ye to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.

dby@Jeremiah:6:19 @ Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, the fruit of their thoughts; for they have not hearkened unto my words, and as to my law, they have rejected it.

dby@Jeremiah:6:23 @ They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as a man for the battle, against thee, daughter of Zion.

dby@Jeremiah:7:17 @ Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

dby@Jeremiah:7:18 @ The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

dby@Jeremiah:7:19 @ Is it I whom they provoke to anger? saith Jehovah; is it not themselves, to the shame of their own face?

dby@Jeremiah:7:24 @ But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward.

dby@Jeremiah:7:26 @ but they have not hearkened unto me, nor inclined their ear; and they have hardened their neck: they have done worse than their fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:7:32 @ Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, when it shall no more be said, Topheth, and Valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter; for they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place.

dby@Jeremiah:8:1 @ At that time, saith Jehovah, they shall bring forth the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves;

dby@Jeremiah:8:2 @ and they shall spread them out to the sun and to the moon and to all the host of the heavens, which they have loved, and which they have served, and after which they have walked, and which they have sought, and which they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the ground.

dby@Jeremiah:8:5 @ Why hath this people of Jerusalem slidden back with a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

dby@Jeremiah:8:6 @ I hearkened and heard: they speak not what is right; there is no man who repenteth him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? Every one turneth to his course, like a horse rushing into the battle.

dby@Jeremiah:8:9 @ The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: behold, they have rejected Jehovah's word; and what wisdom is in them?

dby@Jeremiah:8:11 @ And they have healed the breach of the daughter of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace! when there is no peace.

dby@Jeremiah:8:12 @ Are they ashamed that they have committed abomination? Nay, they are not at all ashamed, and they know not how to blush. Therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall stumble, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:8:16 @ The snorting of his horses is heard from Dan: the whole land trembleth at the sound of the neighing of his steeds, and they come, and devour the land, and all it contains, the city and those that dwell therein.

dby@Jeremiah:8:17 @ For behold, I send among you serpents, vipers against which there is no charm, and they shall bite you, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:8:19 @ Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people, from a very far country: Is not Jehovah in Zion? Is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, with foreign vanities?

dby@Jeremiah:9:2 @ Oh that I had in the wilderness a traveller's lodging-place, that I might leave my people, and go away from them! For they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.

dby@Jeremiah:9:3 @ And they bend their tongue, their bow of falsehood, and not for fidelity are they valiant in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:9:5 @ And they act deceitfully every one with his neighbour, and speak not the truth: they teach their tongue to speak falsehood, they weary themselves with perverse dealing.

dby@Jeremiah:9:6 @ Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:9:10 @ For the mountains will I take up weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness, a lamentation; for they are burnt up, so that none passeth through them; and the voice of the cattle is not heard. Both the fowl of the heavens and the beasts are fled; they are gone.

dby@Jeremiah:9:13 @ And Jehovah saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not hearkened unto my voice, nor walked in it,

dby@Jeremiah:9:16 @ and will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.

dby@Jeremiah:9:17 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come, and send for the skilful women, that they may come;

dby@Jeremiah:9:19 @ For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled, sorely put to shame! For we have forsaken the land, for they have cast down our dwellings.

dby@Jeremiah:10:4 @ they deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

dby@Jeremiah:10:5 @ They are as a palm-column of turned work, and they speak not; they are carried, for they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

dby@Jeremiah:10:8 @ But they are one and all senseless and foolish; the teaching of vanities is a stock.

dby@Jeremiah:10:9 @ Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the artizan and of the hands of the founder; blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of skilful [men].

dby@Jeremiah:10:15 @ They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

dby@Jeremiah:10:18 @ For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will this time sling out the inhabitants of the land, and will distress them, that they may be found.

dby@Jeremiah:10:20 @ My tent is despoiled, and all my cords are broken; my children are gone forth from me, and they are not; there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains.

dby@Jeremiah:10:21 @ For the shepherds are become brutish, and have not sought Jehovah; therefore have they not acted wisely, and all their flock is scattered.

dby@Jeremiah:10:25 @ Pour out thy fury upon the nations that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name; for they have eaten up Jacob, yea, they have eaten him up and consumed him, and have laid waste his dwelling-place.

dby@Jeremiah:11:8 @ But they have not hearkened, nor inclined their ear, but have walked every one in the stubbornness of their evil heart; and I have brought upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded [them] to do, and they have not done.

dby@Jeremiah:11:10 @ They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words; and they have gone after other gods to serve them. The house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:11:11 @ Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will bring evil upon them, from which they shall not be able to escape; and they will cry unto me, and I will not hearken unto them.

dby@Jeremiah:11:12 @ Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go and cry unto the gods unto whom they have burned incense; but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

dby@Jeremiah:11:14 @ And thou, pray not for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

dby@Jeremiah:11:17 @ For Jehovah of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done for themselves, to provoke me to anger in burning incense unto Baal.

dby@Jeremiah:11:19 @ And I was like a tame lamb [that] is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they devised devices against me, [saying,] Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

dby@Jeremiah:12:1 @ Righteous art thou, Jehovah, when I plead with thee; yet will I speak with thee of [thy] judgments. Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? [wherefore] are all they at ease that deal very treacherously?

dby@Jeremiah:12:2 @ Thou hast planted them, they also have taken root: they advance, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, but far from their reins.

dby@Jeremiah:12:4 @ How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of all the fields wither? Because of the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts and the birds perish; for they say, He will not see our end.

dby@Jeremiah:12:5 @ If thou hast run with footmen, and they have wearied thee, how wilt thou then contend with horses? And if in a land of peace thou thinkest thyself in security, how wilt thou then do in the swelling of the Jordan?

dby@Jeremiah:12:6 @ For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee, even they have cried aloud after thee. Believe them not, though they speak good [words] unto thee.

dby@Jeremiah:12:10 @ Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness:

dby@Jeremiah:12:11 @ they have made it a desolation; desolate, it mourneth unto me: the whole land is made desolate, for no man layeth it to heart.

dby@Jeremiah:12:13 @ They have sown wheat, and they reap thorns; they have put themselves to pain, [and] do not profit. Be ye therefore ashamed of your revenues, because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:12:16 @ And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, [As] Jehovah liveth -- even as they taught my people to swear by Baal -- they shall be built up in the midst of my people.

dby@Jeremiah:12:17 @ And if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:13:11 @ For as a girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith Jehovah; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

dby@Jeremiah:13:12 @ And thou shalt speak unto them this word: Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, Every skin shall be filled with wine. And they will say unto thee, Do we not very well know that every skin shall be filled with wine?

dby@Jeremiah:14:2 @ Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish, they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem goeth up.

dby@Jeremiah:14:3 @ And their nobles send their little ones for water: they come to the pits, they find no water; they return with their vessels empty; they are ashamed, they are confounded, and have covered their heads.

dby@Jeremiah:14:4 @ Because the ground is chapt, for there hath been no rain on the earth, the ploughmen are ashamed, they cover their heads.

dby@Jeremiah:14:6 @ And the wild asses stand on the heights, they snuff up the wind like jackals; their eyes fail, because there is no herbage.

dby@Jeremiah:14:10 @ Thus saith Jehovah to this people: Even so have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet; and Jehovah hath no delight in them: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

dby@Jeremiah:14:12 @ When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer up burnt-offering and oblation, I will not accept them: for I will consume them by sword, and by famine, and by pestilence.

dby@Jeremiah:14:14 @ And Jehovah said unto me, The prophets prophesy falsehood in my name; I have not sent them, neither have I commanded them, nor spoken unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision, and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

dby@Jeremiah:14:16 @ and the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, because of the famine and the sword; and there shall be none to bury them, them, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters; and I will pour their wickedness upon them.

dby@Jeremiah:14:18 @ If I go forth into the field, behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, behold them that pine away with famine! For both prophet and priest shall go about into a land that they know not.

dby@Jeremiah:15:2 @ And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.

dby@Jeremiah:15:7 @ And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave of children [and] destroy my people: they have not returned from their ways.

dby@Jeremiah:15:10 @ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole land! I have not lent on usury, nor have they lent to me on usury; [yet] every one of them doth curse me.

dby@Jeremiah:15:20 @ And I will make thee unto this people a strong brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah;

dby@Jeremiah:16:4 @ They shall die of painful deaths; they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung upon the face of the ground, and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine, and their carcases shall be food for the fowl of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.

dby@Jeremiah:16:6 @ Both great and small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried; and none shall lament for them, or cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.

dby@Jeremiah:16:7 @ Nor shall they break [bread] for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall they give them the cup of consolations to drink for their father or for their mother.

dby@Jeremiah:16:10 @ And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt declare unto this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? and what is our iniquity? and what is our sin which we have committed against Jehovah our God?

dby@Jeremiah:16:16 @ Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith Jehovah, and they shall fish them; and afterwards will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them, from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

dby@Jeremiah:16:17 @ For mine eyes are upon all their ways; they are not concealed from my face, neither is their iniquity hidden from before mine eyes.

dby@Jeremiah:16:18 @ But first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have profaned my land with the carcases of their detestable things, and with their abominations have they filled mine inheritance.

dby@Jeremiah:16:19 @ Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood [and] vanity; and in these things there is no profit.

dby@Jeremiah:16:20 @ Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no-gods?

dby@Jeremiah:16:21 @ Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:17:13 @ Thou hope of Israel, Jehovah! all that forsake thee shall be ashamed. They that depart from me shall be written in the earth; because they have forsaken Jehovah, the fountain of living waters.

dby@Jeremiah:17:19 @ Thus hath Jehovah said unto me: Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

dby@Jeremiah:17:23 @ but they hearkened not, neither inclined their ear, but hardened their neck, that they might not hear nor receive instruction.

dby@Jeremiah:17:25 @ then shall there enter in, through the gates of this city, kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall be inhabited for ever.

dby@Jeremiah:17:26 @ And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places around Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the lowland, and from the hill-country, and from the south, bringing burnt-offerings, and sacrifices, and oblations, and incense, and bringing thanksgiving unto the house of Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:18:12 @ But they say, There is no hope; for we will walk after our own devices, and we will each one do [according to] the stubbornness of his evil heart.

dby@Jeremiah:18:15 @ For my people hath forgotten me: they burn incense to vanity; and they have caused them to stumble in their ways, the ancient paths, to walk in by-paths of a way not cast up;

dby@Jeremiah:18:18 @ And they said, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor word from the prophet. Come and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

dby@Jeremiah:18:20 @ Shall evil be recompensed for good? For they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy wrath from them.

dby@Jeremiah:18:22 @ Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them; for they have digged a pit to take me, and have hidden snares for my feet.

dby@Jeremiah:19:4 @ because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place [from me], and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah; and have filled this place with the blood of innocents;

dby@Jeremiah:19:5 @ and they have built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons in the fire as burnt-offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it up into my mind:

dby@Jeremiah:19:9 @ And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat everyone the flesh of his friend, in the siege and in the straitness wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them.

dby@Jeremiah:19:11 @ and shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again. And they shall bury in Topheth, till there be no place to bury.

dby@Jeremiah:19:13 @ And the houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be as the place of Topheth, defiled, all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of the heavens, and have poured out drink-offerings unto other gods.

dby@Jeremiah:19:15 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her cities all the evil that I have spoken against it; for they have hardened their necks, not to hear my words.

dby@Jeremiah:20:4 @ For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall see [it]; and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall smite them with the sword.

dby@Jeremiah:20:5 @ And, I will give all the wealth of this city, and all its gains, and all its precious things, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah, will I give into the hand of their enemies; and they shall make them a prey, and take them, and carry them to Babylon.

dby@Jeremiah:20:11 @ But Jehovah is with me as a mighty terrible one; therefore my persecutors shall stumble and shall not prevail; they shall be greatly ashamed, for they have not prospered: it shall be an everlasting confusion that shall not be forgotten.

dby@Jeremiah:21:6 @ And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

dby@Jeremiah:22:7 @ And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons; and they shall cut down the choice of thy cedars, and cast [them] into the fire.

dby@Jeremiah:22:8 @ And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus unto this great city?

dby@Jeremiah:22:9 @ And they shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of Jehovah their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

dby@Jeremiah:22:12 @ for he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

dby@Jeremiah:22:18 @ Therefore thus saith Jehovah concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah: They shall not lament for him, Ah, my brother! or, Ah, sister! They shall not lament for him, Ah, lord! or Ah, his glory!

dby@Jeremiah:22:27 @ And into the land whereunto they lift up their souls to return, thither shall they not return.

dby@Jeremiah:22:28 @ Is this man Coniah a despised broken vase? a vessel wherein is no delight? Wherefore are they thrown out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

dby@Jeremiah:23:3 @ And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their pastures; and they shall be fruitful and shall multiply.

dby@Jeremiah:23:4 @ And I will raise up shepherds over them, who shall feed them; and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:23:7 @ Therefore behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, that they shall no more say, [As] Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

dby@Jeremiah:23:8 @ but, [As] Jehovah liveth, who brought up and who led back the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them. And they shall dwell in their own land.

dby@Jeremiah:23:12 @ Therefore their way shall be unto them as slippery places in the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them in the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:23:13 @ And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria: they prophesied by Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

dby@Jeremiah:23:14 @ And in the prophets of Jerusalem have I seen a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in falsehood, and strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that none doth return from his wickedness. They are all become unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

dby@Jeremiah:23:16 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they lead you to vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, not out of the mouth of Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:23:17 @ They say constantly unto them that despise me, Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace. And they say unto every one that walketh in the stubbornness of his heart, No evil shall come upon you.

dby@Jeremiah:23:21 @ I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

dby@Jeremiah:23:22 @ But if they had stood in my council, and had caused my people to hear my words, then would they have turned them from their evil way and from the wickedness of their doings.

dby@Jeremiah:23:27 @ who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour: as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

dby@Jeremiah:23:32 @ Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith Jehovah, and that tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies and by their boasting; and I have not sent them, nor commanded them; and they profit not this people at all, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:24:7 @ And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

dby@Jeremiah:24:10 @ and I will send among them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, until they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:25:5 @ when they said, Turn again now every one from his evil way, and from the wickedness of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah hath given unto you and to your fathers from of old even for ever.

dby@Jeremiah:25:16 @ And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

dby@Jeremiah:25:28 @ And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup from thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ye shall certainly drink.

dby@Jeremiah:25:30 @ And thou, prophesy unto them all these words, and say unto them, Jehovah will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar upon his dwelling-place, he will give a shout, as they that tread [the vintage], against all the inhabitants of the earth.

dby@Jeremiah:25:33 @ And the slain of Jehovah shall [be] at that day from [one] end of the earth even unto the [other] end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.

dby@Jeremiah:26:3 @ Peradventure they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil which I purpose to do unto them because of the wickedness of their doings.

dby@Jeremiah:26:10 @ And the princes of Judah heard these things; and they went up from the king's house unto the house of Jehovah, and sat in the entry of the new gate of Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:26:23 @ and they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him to Jehoiakim the king; and he slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the children of the people.

dby@Jeremiah:26:24 @ -- Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.

dby@Jeremiah:27:10 @ For they prophesy falsehood unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

dby@Jeremiah:27:11 @ But the nation that bringeth its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serveth him, will I let remain still in its own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

dby@Jeremiah:27:14 @ And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy falsehood unto you.

dby@Jeremiah:27:15 @ For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, yet they prophesy falsely in my name; in order that I should drive you out, and that ye should perish, ye, and the prophets who prophesy unto you.

dby@Jeremiah:27:16 @ And I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy falsehood unto you.

dby@Jeremiah:27:18 @ But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

dby@Jeremiah:27:22 @ They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day of my visiting them, saith Jehovah; then I will bring them up, and restore them to this place.

dby@Jeremiah:28:14 @ For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

dby@Jeremiah:29:6 @ Take wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there, and be not diminished.

dby@Jeremiah:29:9 @ For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:29:19 @ because they have not hearkened to my words, saith Jehovah, wherewith I sent unto them my servants the prophets, rising early and sending; but ye have not hearkened, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:29:23 @ because they have committed infamy in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken words of falsehood in my name, which I had not commanded them: and I [am] he that knoweth, and [am] witness, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:30:3 @ For behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

dby@Jeremiah:30:9 @ But they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

dby@Jeremiah:30:14 @ All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not. For I have smitten thee with the stroke of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity: thy sins are manifold.

dby@Jeremiah:30:16 @ Therefore all that devour thee shall be devoured, and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be for a spoil; and all they that prey upon thee will I give to be a prey.

dby@Jeremiah:30:17 @ For I will apply a bandage unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; for they have called thee an outcast: This is Zion that no man seeketh after.

dby@Jeremiah:30:19 @ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving, and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be diminished; and I will honour them, and they shall not be small.

dby@Jeremiah:31:1 @ At that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

dby@Jeremiah:31:8 @ Behold, I bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth; [and] among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great assemblage shall they return hither.

dby@Jeremiah:31:9 @ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them to walk by water-brooks, in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble; for I will be a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

dby@Jeremiah:31:12 @ And they shall come and sing aloud upon the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of Jehovah, for corn, and for new wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd; and their soul shall be as a watered garden, and they shall not languish any more at all.

dby@Jeremiah:31:15 @ Thus saith Jehovah: A voice hath been heard in Ramah, the wail of very bitter weeping, -- Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because they are not.

dby@Jeremiah:31:16 @ Thus saith Jehovah: Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears; for there is a reward for thy work, saith Jehovah; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.

dby@Jeremiah:31:23 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: They shall again use this speech, in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall turn their captivity: Jehovah bless thee, O habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness!

dby@Jeremiah:31:24 @ And therein shall dwell Judah, and all the cities thereof together, the husbandmen, and they that go about with flocks.

dby@Jeremiah:31:29 @ In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge:

dby@Jeremiah:31:32 @ not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day of my taking them by the hand, to lead them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband unto them, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:31:33 @ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and will write it in their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

dby@Jeremiah:31:34 @ And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith Jehovah: for I will pardon their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

dby@Jeremiah:31:37 @ Thus saith Jehovah: If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off the whole seed of Israel, for all that they have done, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:32:14 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these writings, this writing of the purchase, both that which is sealed and this writing which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may remain many days.

dby@Jeremiah:32:23 @ And they came in and possessed it: but they hearkened not unto thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do; so that thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them.

dby@Jeremiah:32:24 @ Behold the mounds, they are come unto the city for taking it; and the city is given over into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, by the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and behold, thou seest [it].

dby@Jeremiah:32:29 @ And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come in and set fire to this city, and shall burn it, and the houses upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger.

dby@Jeremiah:32:31 @ For this city hath been to me [a provocation] of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

dby@Jeremiah:32:32 @ because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

dby@Jeremiah:32:33 @ And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face; and though I taught them, rising early and teaching, they hearkened not to receive instruction.

dby@Jeremiah:32:34 @ And they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it;

dby@Jeremiah:32:35 @ and they have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause to pass through [the fire] their sons and their daughters unto Molech: which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

dby@Jeremiah:32:38 @ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

dby@Jeremiah:32:39 @ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all [their] days, for the good of them, and of their children after them.

dby@Jeremiah:32:40 @ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not draw back from them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their heart, that they may not turn aside from me.

dby@Jeremiah:33:5 @ They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

dby@Jeremiah:33:8 @ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me, and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

dby@Jeremiah:33:9 @ And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear of all the good that I do unto them; and they shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

dby@Jeremiah:33:24 @ Hast thou not seen what this people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah had chosen, he hath even cast them off? And they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

dby@Jeremiah:34:5 @ thou shalt die in peace, and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings that were before thee, so shall they burn for thee; and they will lament for thee, Ah, lord! for I have spoken the word, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:34:10 @ And all the princes and all the people that had entered into the covenant obeyed, every man letting his bondman and every man his bondmaid go free, that none should exact service of them any more: they obeyed, and let [them] go.

dby@Jeremiah:34:11 @ But afterwards they turned, and caused the bondmen and the bondmaids whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for bondmen and for bondmaids.

dby@Jeremiah:34:18 @ And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, who have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, -- the calf which they cut in twain, and passed between the parts thereof,

dby@Jeremiah:35:6 @ And they said, We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, ye nor your sons for ever;

dby@Jeremiah:35:14 @ The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they have drunk none, for they have obeyed their father's commandment. But I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking, and ye have not hearkened unto me.

dby@Jeremiah:35:17 @ therefore thus saith Jehovah the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them, because I have spoken unto them, but they have not hearkened, and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

dby@Jeremiah:36:3 @ It may be the house of Judah will hear all the evil that I purpose to do unto them, that they may return every man from his evil way, and that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

dby@Jeremiah:36:7 @ It may be they will present their supplication before Jehovah, and that they will return every one from his evil way; for great is the anger and the fury that Jehovah hath pronounced against this people.

dby@Jeremiah:36:9 @ And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, in the ninth month, [that] they proclaimed a fast before Jehovah, for all the people in Jerusalem, and for all the people that came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem.

dby@Jeremiah:36:15 @ And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. And Baruch read [it] in their ears.

dby@Jeremiah:36:16 @ And it came to pass, when they heard all the words, they turned in fear one toward another, and said unto Baruch, We will certainly report to the king all these words.

dby@Jeremiah:36:17 @ And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words from his mouth?

dby@Jeremiah:36:20 @ And they went in unto the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe; and they told all the words in the ears of the king.

dby@Jeremiah:36:24 @ And they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, [neither] the king nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

dby@Jeremiah:36:31 @ And I will visit their iniquity upon him, and upon his seed, and upon his servants; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; and they have not hearkened.

dby@Jeremiah:37:21 @ Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the guard, and they gave him daily a loaf of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city was spent. And Jeremiah abode in the court of the guard.

dby@Jeremiah:38:6 @ Then they took Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchijah the son of Hammelech, which was in the court of the guard, and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.

dby@Jeremiah:38:7 @ And Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch who was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon -- now the king was sitting in the gate of Benjamin,

dby@Jeremiah:38:9 @ My lord, O king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to the prophet Jeremiah, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he will die by reason of the famine in the place where he is; for there is no more bread in the city.

dby@Jeremiah:38:13 @ And they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and brought him up out of the dungeon; and Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

dby@Jeremiah:38:22 @ Behold, all the women that are left in the king of Judah's house shall be brought forth to the king of Babylon's princes; and they shall say, Thy familiar friends have set thee on, and have prevailed over thee; thy feet are sunk in the mire, they are turned away back.

dby@Jeremiah:38:23 @ And they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand; for thou shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon, and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.

dby@Jeremiah:38:25 @ And if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; and what hath the king said unto thee?

dby@Jeremiah:38:27 @ -- And all the princes came to Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. And they withdrew quietly from him; for the matter was not reported.

dby@Jeremiah:39:5 @ And the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and they took him, and brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, unto Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he pronounced judgment upon him.

dby@Jeremiah:39:14 @ even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should conduct him away home. And he dwelt among the people.

dby@Jeremiah:39:16 @ Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good, and they shall come to pass before thy face in that day.

dby@Jeremiah:40:7 @ And all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah the son of Ahikam over the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that had not been carried away captive to Babylon.

dby@Jeremiah:40:8 @ And they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah; even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth, and the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.

dby@Jeremiah:40:12 @ and all the Jews returned out of all the places whither they had been driven, and came to the land of Judah to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.

dby@Jeremiah:40:15 @ And Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me go, I pray thee, and I will smite Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and no man shall know it: why should he take thy life, and all they of Judah who are gathered unto thee be scattered, and the remnant of Judah perish?

dby@Jeremiah:41:1 @ And it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah the son of Elishama, of the royal seed, and [one] of the king's chief men, and ten men with him, came to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam unto Mizpah, and there they ate bread together, in Mizpah.

dby@Jeremiah:41:7 @ And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, he and the men that were with him, slew them, [and cast them] into the midst of the pit.

dby@Jeremiah:41:12 @ and they took all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that are at Gibeon.

dby@Jeremiah:41:13 @ And it came to pass when all the people that were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, then they were glad.

dby@Jeremiah:41:17 @ and they departed, and dwelt at Geruth-Chimham, which is by Bethlehem, to go to enter into Egypt,

dby@Jeremiah:41:18 @ because of the Chaldeans; for they feared them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had smitten Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.

dby@Jeremiah:42:5 @ And they said to Jeremiah, Jehovah be a true and faithful witness amongst us, if we do not even according to all the word for which Jehovah thy God shall send thee to us.

dby@Jeremiah:43:3 @ but Baruch the son of Nerijah is setting thee on against us, to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they may put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.

dby@Jeremiah:43:5 @ but Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations whither they had been driven, to sojourn in the land of Judah;

dby@Jeremiah:43:7 @ and they came into the land of Egypt: for they hearkened not unto the voice of Jehovah. And they came as far as Tahpanhes.

dby@Jeremiah:44:2 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and behold they are, this day, a waste, and no man dwelleth therein,

dby@Jeremiah:44:3 @ because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense to serve other gods which they knew not, they, [nor] ye, nor your fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:44:5 @ But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

dby@Jeremiah:44:6 @ And my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are become a waste, a desolation, as at this day.

dby@Jeremiah:44:9 @ Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

dby@Jeremiah:44:10 @ They are not humbled unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes which I set before you and before your fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:44:12 @ And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to enter into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed: in the land of Egypt shall they fall; they shall be consumed by the sword [and] by the famine, from the least even unto the greatest; they shall die by the sword and by the famine, and they shall be an execration, an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

dby@Jeremiah:44:14 @ and none of the remnant of Judah, that have come into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, so as to return into the land of Judah, whither they have a desire to return to dwell there; for none shall return but such as shall escape.

dby@Jeremiah:44:28 @ And they that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, a very small company; and all the remnant of Judah, that have come into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose word shall stand, mine or theirs.

dby@Jeremiah:46:6 @ Let not the swift flee away, neither let the mighty man escape! -- Toward the north, hard by the river Euphrates, they have stumbled and fallen.

dby@Jeremiah:46:12 @ The nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry hath filled the earth; for the mighty man stumbleth against the mighty, they are both fallen together.

dby@Jeremiah:46:15 @ Why are thy valiants swept away? They stood not, for Jehovah did thrust them down.

dby@Jeremiah:46:16 @ He made many to stumble, yea, one fell upon another; and they said, Arise, and let us return to our own people and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword.

dby@Jeremiah:46:17 @ There did they cry, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the time appointed go by.

dby@Jeremiah:46:21 @ Also her hired men in the midst of her are like fatted bullocks; for they also have turned back, they have fled away together, they did not stand; for the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their visitation.

dby@Jeremiah:46:22 @ Her voice shall go like a serpent's; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.

dby@Jeremiah:46:23 @ They shall cut down her forest, saith Jehovah, though it be impenetrable; for they are more than the locusts, and are innumerable.

dby@Jeremiah:48:2 @ Moab's praise is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: Come, and let us cut her off from [being] a nation. Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be cut down; the sword shall pursue thee.

dby@Jeremiah:48:30 @ I know his wrath, saith Jehovah; his pratings are vain: they do not as [they say].

dby@Jeremiah:48:32 @ O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with more than the weeping of Jaazer: thy shoots passed over the sea, they reached to the sea of Jaazer. The spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.

dby@Jeremiah:48:33 @ And joy and gladness is taken away from the fruitful field and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: they shall no more tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.

dby@Jeremiah:48:34 @ Because of the cry from Heshbon, unto Elaleh, unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar unto Horonaim, [unto] Eglath-shelishijah: for even the waters of Nimrim shall become desolations.

dby@Jeremiah:48:39 @ They howl, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! And Moab shall be a derision and a terror to all that are round about him.

dby@Jeremiah:48:45 @ They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon powerless; for a fire hath come forth from Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and hath consumed the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the sons of tumult.

dby@Jeremiah:49:9 @ If grape-gatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a gleaning? If thieves by night, they would destroy only till they had enough.

dby@Jeremiah:49:31 @ Arise, get you up against the nation at ease, that dwelleth securely, saith Jehovah, which hath neither gates nor bars: they dwell alone.

dby@Jeremiah:50:7 @ All that found them devoured them, and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Jehovah, the habitation of righteousness, even Jehovah, the hope of their fathers.

dby@Jeremiah:50:9 @ For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon, an assemblage of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her: from thence shall she be taken. Their arrows shall be as those of a mighty expert man: none shall return empty.

dby@Jeremiah:50:20 @ In those days, and at that time, saith Jehovah, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon those whom I leave remaining.

dby@Jeremiah:50:33 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah were together oppressed; and all that took them captives held them fast: they refused to let them go.

dby@Jeremiah:50:36 @ the sword is upon the liars, and they shall become fools; the sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed;

dby@Jeremiah:50:37 @ the sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her, and they shall become as women; the sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed:

dby@Jeremiah:50:38 @ a drought is upon her waters, and they shall be dried up; for it is a land of graven images, and they are mad after frightful idols.

dby@Jeremiah:50:42 @ They lay hold of bow and spear; they are cruel, and will not shew mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses -- set in array like a man for the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.

dby@Jeremiah:51:2 @ and I will send unto Babylon strangers, who shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

dby@Jeremiah:51:4 @ And the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.

dby@Jeremiah:51:18 @ They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

dby@Jeremiah:51:24 @ And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea, in your sight, all their evil which they have done in Zion, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:51:26 @ And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; for thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:51:30 @ The mighty men of Babylon have ceased to fight, they are sitting in the fortresses; their might hath failed, they are become as women: they have set her dwelling places on fire; her bars are broken.

dby@Jeremiah:51:38 @ They shall roar together like young lions, growl as lions' whelps.

dby@Jeremiah:51:39 @ When they are heated, I will prepare their drink, and I will make them drunken, that they may exult, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith Jehovah.

dby@Jeremiah:51:57 @ And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her governors, and her rulers, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts.

dby@Jeremiah:51:58 @ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly laid bare, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; so that the peoples will have laboured in vain, and the nations for the fire: and they shall be weary.

dby@Jeremiah:51:64 @ and shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise, because of the evil that I will bring upon it: and they shall be weary. Thus far the words of Jeremiah.

dby@Jeremiah:52:4 @ And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, [that] Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem; and they encamped against it, and built turrets against it round about.

dby@Jeremiah:52:7 @ And the city was broken into: and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden (now the Chaldeans were near the city round about); and they went the way toward the plain.

dby@Jeremiah:52:9 @ And they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon, unto Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he pronounced judgment upon him.

dby@Lamentations:1:2 @ She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; among all her lovers she hath no comforter; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.

dby@Lamentations:1:6 @ And from the daughter of Zion all her splendour is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture; and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.

dby@Lamentations:1:7 @ In the days of her affliction and of her wanderings, since her people fell into the hand of an adversary, and none did help her, Jerusalem remembereth all her precious things which she had in the days of old: the adversaries have seen her, they mock at her ruin.

dby@Lamentations:1:8 @ Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore is she removed as an impurity: all that honoured her despise her because they have seen her nakedness; and she sigheth, and turneth backward.

dby@Lamentations:1:10 @ The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her precious things; for she hath seen the nations enter into her sanctuary, concerning whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

dby@Lamentations:1:11 @ All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their precious things for food to revive [their] soul. See, Jehovah, and consider, for I am become vile.

dby@Lamentations:1:14 @ The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, they are come up upon my neck; he hath made my strength to fail; the Lord hath delivered me into hands out of which I am not able to rise up.

dby@Lamentations:1:19 @ I called for my lovers, they have deceived me; my priests and mine elders have expired in the city, while they sought them food to revive their soul.

dby@Lamentations:1:21 @ They have heard that I sigh: I have no comforter: all mine enemies have heard of my calamity; they are glad that thou hast done it. Thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.

dby@Lamentations:2:7 @ The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath rejected his sanctuary; he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: they have made a noise in the house of Jehovah, as on the day of a set feast.

dby@Lamentations:2:8 @ Jehovah hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out the line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying; and he hath made the rampart and the wall to lament: they languish together.

dby@Lamentations:2:10 @ The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, they keep silence; they have cast dust upon their heads, they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their head to the ground.

dby@Lamentations:2:12 @ They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city; when they pour out their soul into their mothers' bosom.

dby@Lamentations:2:14 @ Thy prophets have seen vanity and folly for thee; and they have not revealed thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee burdens of falsehood and causes of expulsion.

dby@Lamentations:2:15 @ All that pass by clap [their] hands at thee; they hiss and shake their head at the daughter of Jerusalem: Is this the city which they called, The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?

dby@Lamentations:2:16 @ All thine enemies open their mouth against thee, they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed [her] up; this is forsooth the day that we looked for: we have found, we have seen [it].

dby@Lamentations:2:20 @ See, Jehovah, and consider to whom thou hast done this! Shall the women eat their fruit, the infants that they nursed? Shall priest and prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

dby@Lamentations:3:23 @ they are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

dby@Lamentations:3:52 @ They that are mine enemies without cause have chased me sore like a bird.

dby@Lamentations:3:53 @ They have cut off my life in a pit, and cast a stone upon me.

dby@Lamentations:4:2 @ The sons of Zion, so precious, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

dby@Lamentations:4:3 @ Even the jackals offer the breast, they give suck to their young; the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

dby@Lamentations:4:5 @ They that fed delicately are desolate in the streets; they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dung-hills.

dby@Lamentations:4:7 @ Her Nazarites were purer than snow, whiter than milk; they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their figure was as sapphire.

dby@Lamentations:4:8 @ Their visage is darker than blackness, they are not known in the streets; their skin cleaveth to their bones, it is withered, it is become like a stick.

dby@Lamentations:4:10 @ The hands of pitiful women have boiled their own children: they were their meat in the ruin of the daughter of my people.

dby@Lamentations:4:14 @ They wandered about blind in the streets; they were polluted with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

dby@Lamentations:4:15 @ They cried unto them, Depart! Unclean! Depart! depart, touch not! When they fled away, and wandered about, it was said among the nations, They shall no more sojourn [there].

dby@Lamentations:4:16 @ The face of Jehovah hath divided them; he will no more regard them. They respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the aged.

dby@Lamentations:4:18 @ They hunted our steps, that we could not go in our streets: our end is near, our days are fulfilled; for our end is come.

dby@Lamentations:4:19 @ Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the heavens; they chased us hotly upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.

dby@Lamentations:5:7 @ Our fathers have sinned, [and] they are not; and we bear their iniquities.

dby@Lamentations:5:11 @ They have ravished the women in Zion, the maids in the cities of Judah.

dby@Ezekiel:1:5 @ Also out of the midst thereof, the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.

dby@Ezekiel:1:7 @ And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled as the look of burnished brass.

dby@Ezekiel:1:8 @ And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings:

dby@Ezekiel:1:9 @ their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

dby@Ezekiel:1:10 @ And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man; and they four had the face of a lion on the right side; and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four had also the face of an eagle.

dby@Ezekiel:1:12 @ And they went every one straight forward: whither the Spirit was to go, they went; they turned not when they went.

dby@Ezekiel:1:16 @ The appearance of the wheels and their work was as the look of a chrysolite; and they four had one likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

dby@Ezekiel:1:17 @ When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not when they went.

dby@Ezekiel:1:18 @ As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and they four had their rims full of eyes round about.

dby@Ezekiel:1:20 @ Whithersoever the Spirit was to go, they went, thither would [their] spirit go; and the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

dby@Ezekiel:1:21 @ When those went, they went; and when those stood, they stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up along with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

dby@Ezekiel:1:24 @ And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, a tumultuous noise, as the noise of a host: when they stood, they let down their wings;

dby@Ezekiel:1:25 @ and there was a voice from above the expanse that was over their heads. When they stood, they let down their wings.

dby@Ezekiel:2:3 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me unto this very day;

dby@Ezekiel:2:5 @ And they, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear -- for they are a rebellious house -- yet shall they know that there hath been a prophet among them.

dby@Ezekiel:2:6 @ And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, and be not afraid of their words; for briars and thorns are with thee, and thou dwellest among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, and be not dismayed at their faces; for they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:2:7 @ And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear; for they are rebellious.

dby@Ezekiel:3:6 @ not to many peoples of strange language and of difficult speech, whose words thou canst not understand: had I sent thee to them, would they not hearken unto thee?

dby@Ezekiel:3:9 @ As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead. Fear them not, neither be dismayed at them, for they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:3:11 @ and go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, -- whether they will hear or whether they will forbear.

dby@Ezekiel:3:15 @ And I came to them of the captivity at Tel-abib, that dwelt by the river Chebar, and I sat where they sat; and I sat there astonied among them seven days.

dby@Ezekiel:3:25 @ And thou, son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee therewith, and thou shalt not go out among them.

dby@Ezekiel:3:26 @ And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:3:27 @ And when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:4:16 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxiety; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:

dby@Ezekiel:4:17 @ because bread and water shall fail them, and they shall be astonied one with another, and waste away in their iniquity.

dby@Ezekiel:5:6 @ And she hath rebelled against my judgments in wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for mine ordinances have they refused; and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

dby@Ezekiel:5:13 @ And mine anger shall be accomplished, and I will satisfy my fury upon them, and I will comfort myself; and they shall know that I Jehovah have spoken in my jealousy, when I have accomplished my fury upon them.

dby@Ezekiel:6:9 @ And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they have been carried captives, when I shall have broken their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols; and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed, in all their abominations.

dby@Ezekiel:6:10 @ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah: I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

dby@Ezekiel:6:11 @ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the abominations of the iniquities of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

dby@Ezekiel:6:13 @ And ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when their slain shall be among their idols, round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick terebinth, the places where they offered sweet savour to all their idols.

dby@Ezekiel:6:14 @ And I will stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness of Diblath, in all their dwellings; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:7:14 @ They have blown the trumpet and made all ready, but none goeth to the battle; for my fierce anger is upon all the multitude thereof.

dby@Ezekiel:7:16 @ And they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one for his iniquity.

dby@Ezekiel:7:18 @ And they shall gird on sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

dby@Ezekiel:7:19 @ They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an impurity: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their belly; for it hath been the stumbling-block of their iniquity.

dby@Ezekiel:7:20 @ And he set in majesty his beautiful ornament; but they made therein the images of their abominations [and] of their detestable things: therefore have I made it an impurity unto them.

dby@Ezekiel:7:21 @ And I will give it into the hands of strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.

dby@Ezekiel:7:22 @ And I will turn my face from them; and they shall profane my secret [place]; and the violent shall enter into it, and profane it.

dby@Ezekiel:7:24 @ Therefore will I bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses; and I will make the pride of the strong to cease; and their sanctuaries shall be profaned.

dby@Ezekiel:7:25 @ Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, but there shall be none.

dby@Ezekiel:7:26 @ Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; and they shall seek a vision from a prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

dby@Ezekiel:7:27 @ The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with dismay, and the hands of the people of the land shall tremble: I will do unto them according to their way, and with their judgments will I judge them; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:8:6 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? the great abominations that the house of Israel commit here, to cause [me] to go far off from my sanctuary? And yet again thou shalt see great abominations.

dby@Ezekiel:8:9 @ And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

dby@Ezekiel:8:12 @ And he said unto me, Hast thou seen, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every one in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.

dby@Ezekiel:8:13 @ And he said unto me, Yet again thou shalt see great abominations which they do.

dby@Ezekiel:8:16 @ And he brought me into the inner court of Jehovah's house, and behold, at the entry of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

dby@Ezekiel:8:17 @ And he said unto me, Seest thou, son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here, that they yet fill the land with violence, and keep provoking me afresh to anger? And behold, they put the branch to their nose.

dby@Ezekiel:8:18 @ And I also will deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

dby@Ezekiel:9:2 @ And behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which is turned toward the north, and every man [with] his slaughter weapon in his hand; and in the midst of them, one man clothed with linen, with a writer's ink-horn by his side; and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.

dby@Ezekiel:9:6 @ Slay utterly the old man, the young man, and the maiden, and little children, and women; but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the elders who were before the house.

dby@Ezekiel:9:7 @ And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go forth. And they went forth, and smote in the city.

dby@Ezekiel:9:8 @ And it came to pass, while they were smiting, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! wilt thou destroy all the remnant of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

dby@Ezekiel:9:9 @ And he said unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness; for they say, Jehovah hath forsaken the earth, and Jehovah seeth not.

dby@Ezekiel:10:10 @ And as for their appearance, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.

dby@Ezekiel:10:11 @ When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it: they turned not as they went.

dby@Ezekiel:10:13 @ As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, Galgal.

dby@Ezekiel:10:17 @ When they stood, these stood; and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

dby@Ezekiel:10:19 @ And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight, when they went out; and the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of Jehovah's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

dby@Ezekiel:10:20 @ This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.

dby@Ezekiel:10:22 @ And as for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I had seen by the river Chebar -- their appearance and themselves: they went every one straight before them.

dby@Ezekiel:11:7 @ Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and it is the cauldron; but you will I bring forth out of the midst of it.

dby@Ezekiel:11:16 @ Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Although I have removed them far off among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.

dby@Ezekiel:11:18 @ And they shall come thither, and they shall take away from thence all its detestable things and all its abominations.

dby@Ezekiel:11:20 @ that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

dby@Ezekiel:12:2 @ Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not, which have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:12:3 @ And thou, son of man, prepare thee a captive's baggage, and go captive by day in their sight; and thou shalt go captive from thy place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

dby@Ezekiel:12:4 @ And bring forth thy baggage by day in their sight, as a captive's baggage, and thou thyself, go forth at even in their sight as they that go forth into captivity.

dby@Ezekiel:12:11 @ Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall go into exile, into captivity.

dby@Ezekiel:12:12 @ And the prince that is among them shall bear upon [his] shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby; he shall cover his face, that he see not the land with [his] eyes.

dby@Ezekiel:12:15 @ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries.

dby@Ezekiel:12:16 @ But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they shall come; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:12:19 @ and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with astonishment, because her land shall be left desolate of all that is in it, for the violence of all them that dwell therein.

dby@Ezekiel:12:23 @ Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the accomplishment of every vision.

dby@Ezekiel:12:27 @ Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.

dby@Ezekiel:13:6 @ They have seen vanity and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith! and Jehovah hath not sent them; and they make [them] to hope that the word will be fulfilled.

dby@Ezekiel:13:9 @ And my hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:13:10 @ Because, yea because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace! and there is no peace; and one buildeth up a wall, and lo, they daub it with untempered [mortar] --

dby@Ezekiel:13:15 @ And I will accomplish my fury upon the wall, and upon them that daub it with untempered [mortar], and will say unto you, The wall is no [more], neither they that daubed it,

dby@Ezekiel:13:20 @ Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against your pillows, that the souls which ye catch by their means may fly away; and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, the souls that ye catch, that they may fly away.

dby@Ezekiel:13:21 @ And I will tear your veils and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:14:5 @ that I may take the house of Israel by their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

dby@Ezekiel:14:10 @ And they shall bear their iniquity: the iniquity of the prophet shall be even as the iniquity of the inquirer;

dby@Ezekiel:14:11 @ that the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither make themselves any more unclean with all their transgressions; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:14:14 @ though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:14:15 @ If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they bereave it, and it become a desolation, so that no one passeth through because of the beasts;

dby@Ezekiel:14:16 @ -- though these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.

dby@Ezekiel:14:18 @ and these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only themselves should be delivered.

dby@Ezekiel:14:20 @ and Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

dby@Ezekiel:14:22 @ But behold, there shall be left in it those that escape, who shall be brought out of [it], sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings; and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, as to all that I have brought upon it.

dby@Ezekiel:14:23 @ And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:15:7 @ And I will set my face against them: they shall go forth from [one] fire, and [another] fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah when I set my face against them.

dby@Ezekiel:15:8 @ And I will make the land a desolation, because they have wrought unfaithfulness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:16:33 @ They give rewards to all harlots; but thou gavest thy rewards to all thy lovers, and rewardedst them, that they might come unto thee on every side for thy whoredoms.

dby@Ezekiel:16:37 @ therefore, behold, I will gather all thy lovers with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all that thou hast loved, with all that thou hast hated, -- I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

dby@Ezekiel:16:39 @ and I will give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thy place of debauchery, and shall break down thy high places; and they shall strip thee of thy garments, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

dby@Ezekiel:16:40 @ And they shall bring up an assemblage against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

dby@Ezekiel:16:41 @ And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from being a harlot, and thou also shalt give no more any reward.

dby@Ezekiel:16:47 @ And thou hast not walked in their ways, nor done according to their abominations; but as though that were a very little, thou hast been more corrupt than they in all thy ways.

dby@Ezekiel:16:50 @ And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me, and I took them away when I saw [it].

dby@Ezekiel:16:51 @ And Samaria hath not sinned according to the half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters by all thine abominations which thou hast done.

dby@Ezekiel:16:52 @ Thou also, who hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own confusion, because of thy sins in which thou hast acted more abominably than they: they are more righteous than thou. So be thou ashamed also, and bear thy confusion, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

dby@Ezekiel:17:15 @ But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? shall he break the covenant, and yet escape?

dby@Ezekiel:17:17 @ Neither shall Pharaoh with a mighty army and a great assemblage do anything for him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts to cut off many persons.

dby@Ezekiel:17:21 @ And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward every wind; and ye shall know that I Jehovah have spoken.

dby@Ezekiel:17:23 @ upon the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth branches, and bear fruit, and become a noble cedar; and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

dby@Ezekiel:19:4 @ And the nations heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with nose-rings into the land of Egypt.

dby@Ezekiel:19:9 @ And they put him in a cage with nose-rings, and brought him to the king of Babylon; they brought him into strongholds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.

dby@Ezekiel:20:1 @ And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth of the month, [that] certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Jehovah, and they sat before me.

dby@Ezekiel:20:8 @ But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: none of them cast away the abominations of his eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I thought to pour out my fury upon them, so as to accomplish mine anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

dby@Ezekiel:20:9 @ But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they were, in whose sight I had made myself known unto them in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

dby@Ezekiel:20:12 @ And I also gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] Jehovah that hallow them.

dby@Ezekiel:20:13 @ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: and I said I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

dby@Ezekiel:20:16 @ because they rejected mine ordinances and walked not in my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

dby@Ezekiel:20:20 @ and hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] Jehovah your God.

dby@Ezekiel:20:21 @ And the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live by them; they profaned my sabbaths: and I said I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish mine anger against them in the wilderness.

dby@Ezekiel:20:24 @ because they performed not mine ordinances, and rejected my statutes, and profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

dby@Ezekiel:20:25 @ And I also gave them statutes that were not good, and ordinances whereby they should not live;

dby@Ezekiel:20:26 @ and I defiled them by their own gifts, in that they devoted all that opened the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:20:27 @ Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In this moreover have your fathers blasphemed me, in that they have wrought unfaithfulness against me.

dby@Ezekiel:20:28 @ When I had brought them into the land which I had lifted up my hand to give unto them, then they saw every high hill and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering; and there they placed their sweet savour, and there poured out their drink-offerings.

dby@Ezekiel:20:38 @ And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:20:49 @ And I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?

dby@Ezekiel:21:7 @ And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore dost thou sigh? that thou shalt say, Because of the tidings, for it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall languish, and all knees shall melt into water: behold, it cometh; it is here, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:21:12 @ Cry and howl, son of man; for it shall be against my people, it shall be against all the princes of Israel: they are given up to the sword along with my people: smite therefore upon the thigh.

dby@Ezekiel:21:19 @ And thou, son of man, set thee two ways, by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come -- out of one land shall they both come -- and make thee a signpost, make it at the head of the way to the city.

dby@Ezekiel:21:23 @ And this shall be a false divination in their sight, for them that have sworn oaths; but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.

dby@Ezekiel:21:29 @ whilst they see vanity for thee, whilst they divine a lie unto thee, to lay thee upon the necks of the wicked that are slain, whose day is come at the time of the iniquity of the end.

dby@Ezekiel:22:7 @ In thee have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

dby@Ezekiel:22:9 @ In thee there have been slanderous men to shed blood; and in thee have they eaten upon the mountains; in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness;

dby@Ezekiel:22:10 @ in thee have they discovered their fathers' nakedness; in thee have they humbled her that was unclean in her separation.

dby@Ezekiel:22:12 @ In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast overreached thy neighbours by oppression, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:22:18 @ Son of man, the house of Israel is become dross to me: they are all copper, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace: they are become the dross of silver.

dby@Ezekiel:22:20 @ [As] they gather silver, and copper, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it, so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will lay you on and melt you.

dby@Ezekiel:22:25 @ There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst of her like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they devour souls; they take away treasure and precious things; they increase her widows in the midst of her;

dby@Ezekiel:22:26 @ her priests do violence to my law, and profane my holy things: they put no difference between the holy and profane, neither do they make known [the difference] between the unclean and the clean, and they hide their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

dby@Ezekiel:22:29 @ The people of the land use oppression and practise robbery; and they vex the poor and needy, and oppress the stranger wrongfully.

dby@Ezekiel:23:3 @ And they committed whoredom in Egypt; they committed whoredom in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there were handled the teats of their virginity.

dby@Ezekiel:23:4 @ And their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they were mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names: Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.

dby@Ezekiel:23:8 @ Neither left she her whoredoms [brought] from Egypt; for in her youth they had lain with her, and had handled the breasts of her virginity, and poured their fornication upon her.

dby@Ezekiel:23:10 @ These discovered her nakedness, they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword; and she became a name among women; and they executed judgment upon her.

dby@Ezekiel:23:17 @ And the children of Babylon came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their fornication; she too defiled herself with them, and her soul was alienated from them.

dby@Ezekiel:23:24 @ And they shall come against thee [with] armour, chariots and wheels, and with an assemblage of peoples; they shall set themselves against thee [with] target, and shield, and helmet round about; and I will put judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.

dby@Ezekiel:23:25 @ And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine ears, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword; they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

dby@Ezekiel:23:26 @ They shall also strip the of thy garments, and take away thy fair jewels.

dby@Ezekiel:23:29 @ And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare; so that the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy fornications.

dby@Ezekiel:23:37 @ For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands; and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also passed over unto them their children, whom they bore unto me, to be devoured.

dby@Ezekiel:23:38 @ Moreover this have they done unto me: in the same day have they defiled my sanctuary and profaned my sabbaths.

dby@Ezekiel:23:39 @ For when they had slaughtered their children unto their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, thus have they done in the midst of my house.

dby@Ezekiel:23:40 @ And furthermore, they sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and behold, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments;

dby@Ezekiel:23:42 @ And the voice of a multitude living carelessly was with her; and with people of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, and they put bracelets upon their hands, and a beautiful crown upon their heads.

dby@Ezekiel:23:44 @ And they went in unto her, as they go in unto a whorish woman: so went they in unto Oholah and unto Oholibah the lewd women.

dby@Ezekiel:23:45 @ And righteous men, they shall judge them with the judgment of adulteresses, and with the judgment of women that shed blood; for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

dby@Ezekiel:23:47 @ And the assemblage shall stone them with stones, and despatch them with their swords; they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.

dby@Ezekiel:23:49 @ And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:24:14 @ I Jehovah have spoken [it]: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, nor will I repent. According to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:24:25 @ And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereunto they lift up their soul, their sons and their daughters,

dby@Ezekiel:24:27 @ In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him that is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb. So shalt thou be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:25:3 @ and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah. Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:

dby@Ezekiel:25:4 @ therefore behold, I will give thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruits, and they shall drink thy milk.

dby@Ezekiel:25:11 @ and I will execute judgments upon Moab, and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:25:13 @ therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also stretch out my hand upon Edom; and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

dby@Ezekiel:25:14 @ And I will execute my vengeance upon Edom, by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:25:17 @ And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

dby@Ezekiel:26:4 @ And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers. And I will scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.

dby@Ezekiel:26:6 @ And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:26:12 @ And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy wares; and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses; and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the waters.

dby@Ezekiel:26:16 @ And all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling, they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble [every] moment, and be astonied because of thee.

dby@Ezekiel:26:17 @ And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How hast thou perished, that wast inhabited from the seas, O renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, -- she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all them that dwell therein!

dby@Ezekiel:27:5 @ They made all thy double boards of cypress-trees of Senir; they took cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.

dby@Ezekiel:27:6 @ Of the oaks of Bashan did they make thine oars; they made thy benches of ivory, inlaid in box-wood, out of the isles of Chittim.

dby@Ezekiel:27:10 @ Persia and Lud and Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged shield and helmet in thee; they gave splendour to thee.

dby@Ezekiel:27:11 @ The children of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadim were on thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they made thy beauty perfect.

dby@Ezekiel:27:12 @ Tarshish dealt with thee by reason of the abundance of all substance; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they furnished thy markets.

dby@Ezekiel:27:13 @ Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy traffickers: they bartered with thee the persons of men, and vessels of bronze.

dby@Ezekiel:27:14 @ They of the house of Togarmah furnished thy markets with horses, and horsemen, and mules.

dby@Ezekiel:27:15 @ The children of Dedan were thy traffickers; many isles were the mart of thy hand: they rendered in payment horns of ivory, and ebony.

dby@Ezekiel:27:16 @ Syria dealt with thee for the multitude of thy handiworks: they traded in thy markets with carbuncles, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and corals, and rubies.

dby@Ezekiel:27:17 @ Judah and the land of Israel were thy traffickers: they bartered with thee wheat of Minnith, and sweet cakes, and honey, and oil, and balm.

dby@Ezekiel:27:21 @ Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were the merchants of thy hand: in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these did they trade with thee.

dby@Ezekiel:27:22 @ The merchants of Sheba and Raamah were thy traffickers: they furnished thy markets with all the choice spices, and with all precious stones and gold.

dby@Ezekiel:27:27 @ Thy substance, and thy markets, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, they that repair thy leaks, and they that barter with thee, and all thy men of war that are in thee, along with all thine assemblage which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall.

dby@Ezekiel:27:29 @ And all that handle the oar, the mariners, all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand upon the land,

dby@Ezekiel:27:30 @ and shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly; and they shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow themselves in ashes.

dby@Ezekiel:27:31 @ And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird themselves with sackcloth; and they shall weep for thee in bitterness of soul with bitter mourning.

dby@Ezekiel:27:32 @ And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, [saying,] Who is like Tyre, like her that is destroyed in the midst of the sea?

dby@Ezekiel:28:7 @ therefore behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall tarnish thy brightness.

dby@Ezekiel:28:8 @ They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of those that are slain in the heart of the seas.

dby@Ezekiel:28:13 @ thou wast in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared.

dby@Ezekiel:28:16 @ By the abundance of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore have I cast thee as profane from the mountain of God, and have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

dby@Ezekiel:28:17 @ Thy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I have cast thee to the ground, I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

dby@Ezekiel:28:19 @ All they that know thee among the peoples shall be amazed at thee: thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more.

dby@Ezekiel:28:22 @ and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be hallowed in her.

dby@Ezekiel:28:23 @ And I will send into her the pestilence, and blood in her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword upon her on every side: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:28:24 @ And there shall be no more a wounding sting for the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn, among all that were round about them, that despised them: and they shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:28:25 @ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be hallowed in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their land which I have given to my servant Jacob.

dby@Ezekiel:28:26 @ They shall dwell in it in safety, and shall build houses and plant vineyards; and they shall dwell in safety, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despised them round about them: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah their God.

dby@Ezekiel:29:6 @ And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I [am] Jehovah, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

dby@Ezekiel:29:7 @ When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst give way and rend all their shoulder; and when they leaned upon thee, thou didst break, and didst make all their loins to tremble.

dby@Ezekiel:29:9 @ And the land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, because he saith, The river is mine, and I made it.

dby@Ezekiel:29:13 @ Yet thus saith the Lord Jehovah: At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples whither they were scattered;

dby@Ezekiel:29:14 @ and I will turn again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return to the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth, and they shall there be a base kingdom.

dby@Ezekiel:29:15 @ It shall be the basest of kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations; and I will diminish them, so that they shall no more rule over the nations.

dby@Ezekiel:29:16 @ And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they turn after them: and they shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:29:20 @ I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:29:21 @ In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:30:4 @ And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and there shall be anguish in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be overthrown.

dby@Ezekiel:30:6 @ Thus saith Jehovah: They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down: from Migdol to Syene shall they fall in her by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:30:7 @ And they shall be desolated in the midst of the countries that are desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

dby@Ezekiel:30:8 @ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers shall be broken.

dby@Ezekiel:30:11 @ He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with slain.

dby@Ezekiel:30:19 @ Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:30:25 @ And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall have stretched it out upon the land of Egypt.

dby@Ezekiel:30:26 @ And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:31:14 @ to the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves in their stature, nor set their top amidst the thick boughs, and that none of them that drink water stand up in his height by himself; for they are all given over unto death in the lower parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.

dby@Ezekiel:31:17 @ They also went down into Sheol with him unto them that were slain with the sword, and [that were] his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the nations.

dby@Ezekiel:32:3 @ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also spread out my net over thee with an assemblage of many peoples; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

dby@Ezekiel:32:10 @ And I will make many peoples amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid at thee, when I brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, each one for his life, in the day of thy fall.

dby@Ezekiel:32:12 @ By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall: the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall spoil the pride of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

dby@Ezekiel:32:15 @ When I shall make the land of Egypt a desolation, and the country shall be left desolate of all that was in it, when I have smitten all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:32:16 @ It is a lamentation, and [thus] they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall say it in lamenting; they shall say it in lamenting over Egypt and over all her multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:32:20 @ They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword. The sword hath been given: draw her out, and all her multitudes.

dby@Ezekiel:32:21 @ The strong among the mighty, with them that helped him, shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol: they are gone down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

dby@Ezekiel:32:24 @ There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised unto the lower parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their confusion with them that go down to the pit.

dby@Ezekiel:32:25 @ They have set him a bed in the midst of the slain, with all his multitude: their graves are round about him, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though their terror was caused in the land of the living; and they have borne their confusion with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that are slain.

dby@Ezekiel:32:26 @ There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude, their graves round about them, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.

dby@Ezekiel:32:27 @ And they lie not with the mighty, [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war; and whose swords are laid under their heads, and whose iniquities are upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

dby@Ezekiel:32:29 @ There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.

dby@Ezekiel:32:30 @ There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, that are gone down with the slain -- ashamed of the terror which they caused through their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword, and bear their confusion with them that go down to the pit.

dby@Ezekiel:33:24 @ Son of man, they that inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited this land, and we are many: the land is given us for a possession.

dby@Ezekiel:33:27 @ Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: [As] I live, verily they that are in the waste places shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

dby@Ezekiel:33:29 @ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment because of all their abominations which they have committed.

dby@Ezekiel:33:31 @ And they come unto thee as a people cometh, and they sit before thee [as] my people, and they hear thy words, but they do them not; for with their mouth they shew much love, [but] their heart goeth after their dishonest gain.

dby@Ezekiel:33:32 @ And behold, thou art unto them as a lovely song, a pleasant voice, and one that playeth well on an instrument; and they hear thy words, but they do them not.

dby@Ezekiel:33:33 @ And when this cometh to pass (behold, it will come), then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.

dby@Ezekiel:34:5 @ And they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, and were scattered.

dby@Ezekiel:34:10 @ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock: that the shepherds may feed themselves no more; and I will deliver my sheep from their mouth, that they may not be food for them.

dby@Ezekiel:34:12 @ As a shepherd tendeth his flock in the day that he is among his scattered sheep, so will I tend my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

dby@Ezekiel:34:14 @ I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and in a fat pasture they shall feed upon the mountains of Israel.

dby@Ezekiel:34:22 @ -- I will save my flock, that they may no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.

dby@Ezekiel:34:25 @ And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell in safety in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

dby@Ezekiel:34:27 @ And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase; and they shall be in safety in their land, and shall know that I [am] Jehovah, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them out of the hand of those that kept them in servitude.

dby@Ezekiel:34:28 @ And they shall no more be a prey to the nations, neither shall the beast of the earth devour them; but they shall dwell in safety, and none shall make them afraid.

dby@Ezekiel:34:29 @ And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the ignominy of the nations any more.

dby@Ezekiel:34:30 @ And they shall know that I Jehovah their God [am] with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:35:8 @ and I will fill his mountains with his slain. In thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy water-courses shall they fall that are slain with the sword.

dby@Ezekiel:35:12 @ And thou shalt know that I Jehovah have heard all thy reproaches, which thou hast uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.

dby@Ezekiel:35:15 @ As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolated, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be a desolation, O mount Seir, and all Edom, the whole of it: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:36:3 @ therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because, yea, because they have made [you] desolate, and have swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the remnant of the nations, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and in the defaming of the people:

dby@Ezekiel:36:7 @ therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have lifted up my hand, [saying,] Verily the nations that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

dby@Ezekiel:36:8 @ And ye mountains of Israel shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people Israel: for they are at hand to come.

dby@Ezekiel:36:11 @ And I will multiply upon you man and beast, and they shall increase and bring forth fruit; and I will cause you to be inhabited as [in] your former times, yea, I will make it better than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:36:12 @ And I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of children.

dby@Ezekiel:36:13 @ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because they say unto you, Thou devourest men, and hast bereaved thy nation,

dby@Ezekiel:36:17 @ Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a woman in her separation.

dby@Ezekiel:36:18 @ And I poured out my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols.

dby@Ezekiel:36:19 @ And I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

dby@Ezekiel:36:20 @ And when they came to the nations whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when it was said of them, These are the people of Jehovah, and they are gone forth out of his land.

dby@Ezekiel:36:21 @ But I had pity for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations whither they went.

dby@Ezekiel:36:35 @ And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities [are] fortified [and] inhabited.

dby@Ezekiel:36:38 @ As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her set feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:37:2 @ And he caused me to pass by them round about; and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry.

dby@Ezekiel:37:9 @ And he said unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

dby@Ezekiel:37:10 @ And I prophesied as he had commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

dby@Ezekiel:37:11 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off!

dby@Ezekiel:37:17 @ And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thy hand.

dby@Ezekiel:37:19 @ say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and will put them with this, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.

dby@Ezekiel:37:21 @ And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them from every side, and bring them into their own land:

dby@Ezekiel:37:22 @ and I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

dby@Ezekiel:37:23 @ And they shall not defile themselves any more with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; and I will save them out of all their dwelling-places wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

dby@Ezekiel:37:24 @ And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: and they shall walk in mine ordinances, and keep my statutes, and do them.

dby@Ezekiel:37:25 @ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.

dby@Ezekiel:37:27 @ And my tabernacle shall be over them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

dby@Ezekiel:38:8 @ After many days shalt thou be visited; at the end of years thou shalt come into the land brought back from the sword [and] gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel which have been a perpetual waste: but it is brought forth out from the peoples, and they shall all of them be dwelling in safety.

dby@Ezekiel:38:23 @ And I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:39:6 @ And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell at ease in the isles: and they shall know that I [am] Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:39:9 @ And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall kindle fire, and burn weapons, and shields, and targets, bows, and arrows, and hand-staves, and spears: and they shall make fires with them seven years.

dby@Ezekiel:39:10 @ And no wood shall be taken out of the field, neither cut down out of the forests; for they shall make fire with the weapons; and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and plunder those that plundered them, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:39:11 @ And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will give unto Gog a place there for burial in Israel, the valley of the passers-by to the east of the sea; and it shall stop [the way] of the passers-by; and there shall they bury Gog and all the multitude; and they shall call it, Valley of Hamon-Gog.

dby@Ezekiel:39:12 @ And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying them, that they may cleanse the land;

dby@Ezekiel:39:14 @ And they shall sever out men of continual employment to go through the land, who, with the passers-by, shall bury those that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: at the end of seven months shall they make a search.

dby@Ezekiel:39:16 @ And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

dby@Ezekiel:39:23 @ And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they were unfaithful against me; and I hid my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies, so that they fell all of them by the sword.

dby@Ezekiel:39:26 @ and they shall bear their confusion, and all their unfaithfulness in which they have acted unfaithfully against me, when they shall dwell safely in their land, and none shall make them afraid;

dby@Ezekiel:39:28 @ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to be led into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

dby@Ezekiel:40:10 @ And the chambers of the gate which was toward the east were three on this side and three on that side: they three were of one measure; and the posts on this side and on that side had one measure.

dby@Ezekiel:40:22 @ And its windows, and its projections, and its palm-trees were according to the measure of the gate that looked toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and the projections thereof were before them.

dby@Ezekiel:40:38 @ And there was a cell and its entry by the posts of the gates; there they rinsed the burnt-offering.

dby@Ezekiel:40:41 @ four tables on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate, -- eight tables, whereon they slew [the sacrifice],

dby@Ezekiel:40:42 @ -- and at the ascent, four tables of hewn stone, of a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; whereon also they laid the instruments with which they slew the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.

dby@Ezekiel:40:43 @ And the double hooks of a hand breadth were fastened round about within; and upon the tables [they put] the flesh of the offering.

dby@Ezekiel:40:49 @ The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits, even by the steps whereby they went up to it; and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and one on that side.

dby@Ezekiel:41:6 @ And the side-chambers were three, chamber over chamber, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which the house had for the side-chambers round about, that they might have hold; but they had not hold in the wall of the house.

dby@Ezekiel:42:6 @ For they were in three [stories], but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts; therefore [the third story] was straitened more than the lowest and the middle-most from the ground.

dby@Ezekiel:42:13 @ And he said unto me, The north cells [and] the south cells, which are before the separate place, they are holy cells, where the priests that come near unto Jehovah shall eat the most holy things; there shall they lay the most holy things, both the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering: for the place is holy.

dby@Ezekiel:42:14 @ When the priests enter in, they shall not go forth from the sanctuary into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister, for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which is for the people.

dby@Ezekiel:43:7 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, [this is] the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever; and the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, they nor their kings, with their fornication, and with the carcases of their kings [in] their high places,

dby@Ezekiel:43:8 @ in that they set their threshold by my threshold, and their post by my post, and [there was only] a wall between me and them, and they defiled my holy name with their abominations which they committed; and I consumed them in mine anger.

dby@Ezekiel:43:10 @ Thou, son of man, shew the house to the house of Israel, that they may be confounded at their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.

dby@Ezekiel:43:11 @ And if they be confounded at all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, and its fashion, and its goings out, and its comings in, and all its forms, and all its statutes, yea, all the forms thereof, and all the laws thereof; and write it in their sight, that they may keep the whole form thereof, and all the statutes thereof, and do them.

dby@Ezekiel:43:18 @ And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer up burnt-offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

dby@Ezekiel:43:22 @ And on the second day thou shalt present a he-goat without blemish for a sin-offering; and they shall purge the altar, as they purged it with the bullock.

dby@Ezekiel:43:24 @ and thou shalt present them before Jehovah; and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt-offering unto Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:43:25 @ Seven days shalt thou offer daily a goat for a sin-offering; they shall also offer a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.

dby@Ezekiel:43:26 @ Seven days shall they make atonement for the altar and purify it, and consecrate it.

dby@Ezekiel:44:7 @ in that ye have brought strangers, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it, [even] my house, when ye offered my bread, the fat and the blood; and they have broken my covenant besides all your abominations.

dby@Ezekiel:44:10 @ But the Levites who went away far from me, when Israel went astray, going astray from me after their idols, they shall even bear their iniquity;

dby@Ezekiel:44:11 @ but they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and doing the service of the house: they shall slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.

dby@Ezekiel:44:12 @ Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and were unto the house of Israel a stumbling-block of iniquity; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, saith the Lord Jehovah, that they shall bear their iniquity.

dby@Ezekiel:44:13 @ And they shall not draw near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to draw near to any of my holy things, [even] to the most holy; but they shall bear their confusion, and their abominations which they have committed.

dby@Ezekiel:44:15 @ But the priests, the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall approach unto me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to present unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:44:16 @ They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall approach unto my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.

dby@Ezekiel:44:17 @ And it shall come to pass when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court, and towards the house.

dby@Ezekiel:44:18 @ They shall have linen tires upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird on anything that causeth sweat.

dby@Ezekiel:44:19 @ And when they go forth into the outer court, into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy cells; and they shall put on other garments, that they may not hallow the people with their garments.

dby@Ezekiel:44:20 @ Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long: they shall duly poll their heads.

dby@Ezekiel:44:21 @ Neither shall any priest drink wine when they enter into the inner court.

dby@Ezekiel:44:22 @ And they shall not take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away; but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that is the widow of a priest.

dby@Ezekiel:44:23 @ And they shall teach my people [the difference] between holy and profane, and cause them to discern between unclean and clean.

dby@Ezekiel:44:24 @ And in controversy they shall stand to judge: they shall judge it according to my judgments; and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my solemnities; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.

dby@Ezekiel:44:25 @ And they shall come at no dead person to become unclean; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may become unclean.

dby@Ezekiel:44:26 @ And after he is cleansed, they shall count unto him seven days.

dby@Ezekiel:44:29 @ They shall eat the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering; and every devoted thing in Israel shall be theirs.

dby@Ezekiel:45:8 @ As land shall it be his for a possession in Israel; and my princes shall no more oppress my people; but they shall give the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes.

dby@Ezekiel:46:6 @ And on the day of the new moon, a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

dby@Ezekiel:46:10 @ And the prince shall come in in the midst of them, when they come in; and when they go out, they shall go out [together].

dby@Ezekiel:46:15 @ They shall offer the lamb, and the oblation, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt-offering.

dby@Ezekiel:46:20 @ And he said unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass-offering, and the sin-offering, [and] where they shall bake the oblation, that they bring them not out into the outer court, so as to hallow the people.

dby@Ezekiel:47:8 @ And he said unto me, These waters issue out toward the east district, and go down into the plain, and go into the sea; when they are brought forth into the sea, the waters [thereof] shall be healed.

dby@Ezekiel:47:11 @ But its marshes and its pools shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.

dby@Ezekiel:47:22 @ And it shall come to pass that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who shall beget children among you; and they shall be unto you as the home-born among the children of Israel: with you shall they draw by lot inheritance among the tribes of Israel.

dby@Ezekiel:48:14 @ And they shall not sell of it, neither exchange, nor alienate the first-fruits of the land: for it is holy unto Jehovah.

dby@Ezekiel:48:19 @ And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel.

dby@Daniel:1:4 @ youths in whom was no blemish, and of goodly countenance, and skilful in all wisdom, and acquainted with knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the language of the Chaldeans.

dby@Daniel:1:5 @ And the king appointed unto them a daily provision of the king's delicate food, and of the wine that he drank, to nourish them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

dby@Daniel:1:16 @ So the steward took away their delicate food, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

dby@Daniel:1:19 @ And the king spoke with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: and they stood before the king.

dby@Daniel:2:2 @ And the king commanded to call the scribes, and the magicians, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, to shew the king his dreams; and they came and stood before the king.

dby@Daniel:2:7 @ They answered the second time and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation.

dby@Daniel:2:13 @ And the decree went forth that the wise men were to be slain; and they sought Daniel and his companions to slay them.

dby@Daniel:2:18 @ that they would desire mercies of the God of the heavens concerning this secret; that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

dby@Daniel:2:35 @ Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold broken in pieces together, and they became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, and no place was found for them. And the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

dby@Daniel:2:43 @ And whereas thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron doth not mingle with clay.

dby@Daniel:2:46 @ Then king Nebuchadnezzar fell on his face and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

dby@Daniel:3:3 @ Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the justices, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

dby@Daniel:3:9 @ They spoke and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever!

dby@Daniel:3:12 @ There are certain Jews whom thou hast appointed over the administration of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: these men, O king, regard thee not; they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image that thou hast set up.

dby@Daniel:3:19 @ Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. He spoke, and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

dby@Daniel:3:24 @ Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste; he spoke and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king.

dby@Daniel:3:25 @ He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of God.

dby@Daniel:3:28 @ Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and who changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God!

dby@Daniel:4:6 @ And I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.

dby@Daniel:4:7 @ Then came in the scribes, the magicians, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers; and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation of it.

dby@Daniel:4:25 @ They shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and thou shalt be bathed with the dew of heaven; and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the Most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

dby@Daniel:4:32 @ and they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field; they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the Most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

dby@Daniel:5:3 @ Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines, drank in them.

dby@Daniel:5:4 @ They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

dby@Daniel:5:8 @ Then came in all the king's wise men, but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation.

dby@Daniel:5:15 @ And now the wise men, the magicians, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof; but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing.

dby@Daniel:5:20 @ But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit hardened unto presumption, he was deposed from the throne of his kingdom, and they took his glory from him;

dby@Daniel:5:21 @ and he was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses; they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the Most High God ruleth over the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

dby@Daniel:5:23 @ but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of the heavens; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy nobles, thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

dby@Daniel:5:29 @ Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and [put] a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

dby@Daniel:6:4 @ Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find a pretext against Daniel with respect to the kingdom; but they could not find any pretext or fault; inasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

dby@Daniel:6:12 @ Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king's decree: Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask [anything] of any god or man within thirty days, except of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which may not be revoked.

dby@Daniel:6:13 @ Then they answered and said before the king, That Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

dby@Daniel:6:16 @ Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into the den of lions. The king spoke and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will save thee.

dby@Daniel:6:22 @ My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

dby@Daniel:6:23 @ Thereupon was the king exceeding glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

dby@Daniel:6:24 @ And the king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and broke all their bones in pieces ere they came to the bottom of the den.

dby@Daniel:7:5 @ And behold, another beast, a second, like unto a bear, and it raised up itself on one side; and [it had] three ribs in its mouth between its teeth; and they said thus unto it: Arise, devour much flesh.

dby@Daniel:7:13 @ I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of heaven [one] like a son of man, and he came up even to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

dby@Daniel:7:18 @ But the saints of the most high [places] shall receive the kingdom, and they shall possess the kingdom for ever, even to the ages of ages.

dby@Daniel:7:25 @ And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most high [places], and think to change seasons and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and a half time.

dby@Daniel:7:26 @ And the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

dby@Daniel:8:20 @ The ram that thou sawest having the two horns: they are the kings of Media and Persia.

dby@Daniel:9:7 @ Thine, O Lord, is the righteousness, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, in all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their unfaithfulness in which they have been unfaithful against thee.

dby@Daniel:10:7 @ And I Daniel alone saw the vision; and the men that were with me saw not the vision, but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves.

dby@Daniel:11:6 @ And after the course of years they shall join affinity; and the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make equitable conditions: but she shall not retain the strength of her arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm; and she shall be given up, she and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in [those] times.

dby@Daniel:11:14 @ And in those times shall many stand up against the king of the south; and the violent of thy people will exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

dby@Daniel:11:21 @ And in his place shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom; but he shall come in peaceably and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

dby@Daniel:11:25 @ And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall engage in battle with an exceeding great and mighty army; but he shall not stand, for they shall plan devices against him.

dby@Daniel:11:26 @ And they that eat of his delicate food shall break him, and his army shall be dissolved; and many shall fall down slain.

dby@Daniel:11:27 @ And both these kings' hearts [shall meditate] mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper; for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

dby@Daniel:11:31 @ And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and shall take away the continual [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

dby@Daniel:11:33 @ And they that are wise among the people shall instruct the many; and they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, [many] days.

dby@Daniel:11:34 @ And when they fall, they shall be helped with a little help; but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.

dby@Daniel:12:3 @ And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever.
