Son of Rhesa, according to the text of kjv@Luke:3:27) and one of the ancestors of Christ; but according to the view explained in a previous article, son of Zerubbabel, and the same as HANANIAH in ( kjv@1Chronicles:3:19) The name of a woman, occurring twice in kjv@Luke:8:3 kjv@Luke:24:10) but evidently denoting the same person, (A.D. 28-30.) In the first passage she is expressly stated to have been "wife of Chuza, steward of Herod," that is, Antipas, tetrarch of Galilee.
