1. Section 1: "This is the Generation"

• That what?
  
• Seek who? him/thy face? Jacob? Nation of? He that hath clean hands? HE that possess/founded earth? King of Glory?
  
• Is this the generation?

• Would this generation dare admitt the earth is the LORD's and all the fullness therein? (that the LORD founded it upon the seas, established it upon the floods) No not this generation.
  
• Is this the generation that would care the slightest about the King of Glory re-entering the eternal gates triumphant?
  
• No this is the generation of whom it is written:

• Who then is it that we best need to be seeking? Who best should Jacob/Israel be seeking?
  


• Psalm 24 is the fourth of our current Messianic profiles.
  
• Messiah possessor and founder of earth.
  
• Messiah ascended into the hill having received His blessing/salvation
  
• Messiah King of Glory, strong and mighty, re-entering the eternal gates triumphant.

• In this profile we will consider Messiah in perhaps His most important role: Jehovah
  
• You see where I get that: King of Glory = LORD JEHOVAH one in the same.
  
• I know that very few people, even most Christians are not going to agree with me on this, that would mean to admit that Jesus is God. Jews are not going to believe it because that would involve some kind of Trinity or Godhead. Atheists and Agnostics aren't going to touch it because they think Jesus as merely a man (if they think of Jesus at all).
  
• The generation that does eventually seek him will at some point have to seek Him as one would "THY face".
  


• Psalm 24 is the perfect place to re-examine these considerations:
  
• The gates of eternity are opening up and the King of Glory coming back in.
  
• The question is being asked who can ascend into the Father Jehovah's presence, the answer is not any of us, only Him.
  
• The statement is being made the the earth and all it's fullness are possessed by the LORD that founded it, the same LORD that is being equated to the same King of Glory entering back in.
  
• The question has to be, what makes Messiah who He is? how is He able to do for us what no other can do? why is He our only course of salvation? how is it that no other course or pathway towards our salvation will do? The answer plain and simple is that He is not only the Son of Man, He is the Son of God and like no other man or angel can be He is of the substance of Jehovah.
  
• Anything less than this and we are going to start having big logical and logistical problems with our eternal salvation.
  







2. Section 2: " The Earth is the LORD'S"
   

kjv@Psalms:24:1 @ The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

kjv@Psalms:24:2 @ For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

• What a tremendous world view.
  
• How we go about our lives... (mine mine mine) each of us clinging to small pieces (our pieces nonetheless)... not ours for very long.
  
• What do we actually possess that remains ours? What do we possess that can't be taken away in one moment?
  
• How much better to say "The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein"?
  


• The earth and its fullness is not:
  
• Pharaoh's, David's, king of Persia, the conqueror Alexander, emperor of Rome.
  
• It is not Britian's, China's, United States.
  
• It is not the socialist's nor the capitalist's, not even the globalist's
  
• There is an effort today to make the Earth to regather under one government and economy and religion... should they succeed even then the Earth will not be theirs'... not for one moment, and certainly not for long.
  
• "The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein"
  


• There are several more popular world views to contend with this.
  
• view that from chaos came order, from nothingness came all of this. Well then, by all means, grab as much of this temporary order as you possibly can, survival of the fittest.
  
• view that this is all by accident, or is an illussion
  
• view that I don't care what it is or whose it is or where it is from
  
• view that regardless of whose it is, it has been gifted to us, it is ours' to take
  
• Look at how poorly we have been able to take care of and possess it.
  
• "The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein"
  


• "and they that dwell therein"
  
• Before a man is born, whose is he then? When a man dies, whose is he then? Then whose is that man now while he is living?
  
• When a man marries, whose is she? When the two have children, whose are they? One child comes still born. In their later years the wife looses her mind to dementia. The husband can say "my wife"... whose is she really?
  
• We do not like to think in terms of possession because then that leads to thoughts of God, the God whom we think that we are doing just fine without. How well would we really be doing if it were not for God always being in possession?
  


• There is also the view that at one time this Earth was the LORD's, but not anymore, it is the Devil's now.
  
• The prince of the air/power of darkness has stolen it away from God, it's up to God to fight to steal it back.
  
• Surely this Satan does not wish to be someone else's possession, surely neither do any of us, but for those whom will be soon gathered back unto the LORD, the LORD is willing to put up with our raging lunacy.
  
• There should be no doubt, "The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein". That is why this statement is so important to start our discussion on.
  


• Why is it HIS and no one else?
  
• There are many reasons why, one being that from nothing HE created all of this.
  
• The psalmist points to a more specific reason however
  

kjv@Psalms:24:2 @ For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.


• HE took what HE had created out of nothing and made it inhabitable for us to dwell therein.
  

kjv@Genesis:1:2 @ And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.


kjv@Genesis:1:9-10 @ And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.


• There are vast cavernous seas deep below. There are vast expanses of sea now covering 70% of the Earth's surface. But for us that dwell on dry ground HE went above and beyond. What an amazing above and beyond HE made for us!
  
• Now get this, HE made this above and beyond knowing full well what we would from very early on make
  

out of ourselves and out of it.


• Why should we think of all of this as HIS possession? Because only HE knows what it is that HE is driving it to be and what it would take to drive us all the way there.
  


• What would it take to drive us all the way there (wherever that is)?
  
• Someone, a valiant mighty blemish free king to ascend HIS hill, back into HIS eternal gates, receive HIS blessing and the righteousness of HIS salvation.
  
• Who is this King of Glory? Jehovah one in the same!
  







3. Section 3: "kjv@Psalms:24:3 @ Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD?"
   
• The question here is actually two part: 1. who shall ascend? 2. who shall stand?
  
• Most readers will place themselves in the central role. Do I have the ability to ascend/stand? Yes they say.
  
• The central character in the verse however is the hill/holy place. People answer the question without knowing just how forbidding and holy the hill and the place actually are.
  
• It is so forbidding and holy that only one person is intended to ascend and stand in it - Christ. Even then this Christ has to be Messiah Jehovah.
  


• You will recall that Moses had a similar experience kjv@Exodus:3 when the Lord appeared to him on the side of the mount as a burning bush.
  
• Moses had to remove his sandals for the ground was so holy and turn his back behind a rock so as to not look upon the LORD and die.
  
• The third time Moses met the LORD in that holy place, Moses' appearance was so altered that he had to wear a vale just so others could look upon him.
  
• You'll also recall that Moses was not allowed to enter the promised land before his death because he had struck the rock twice instead of once.
  


• Some would say that having received the Law changed all that (men and women are free to ascend the hill and stand in the holy place if they keep the entire Law).
  
• Yes they would be able to do this, no no man or woman has ever been able to keep the entire law.
  
• The Law was not intended to modify our behavior enough for this as much as it was to measure how far the behavior still has to go.
  
• When Israel was given the Law, as a nation they also volunteered to enter themselves into a conditional covenant with the LORD. They swore to keep the Law and obey the commandments, HE swore to doubly bless the nation in all things pertaining to the nation. Should they fail HE would doubly curse their nation as an observable indicator. For the remaining centuries, the only times that Israel momentarily lived in the blessing were the times when the LORD's mercy sought to lift them back out of the rebellion that they had entered.
  
• Sounds to some that the LORD is an impossible task master when exactly the opposite is true, it is man's sin that is the impossible task master and the LORD's mercy its only escape.
  


• The sum objective of the LORD's Commandments is: 1. To love the LORD your God with all your heart and mind and soul and strength. 2. To love your neighbor as you love yourself.
  
• You would think that would be pretty easy, something we all could do, but examine the individual commandments themselves and you'll notice how different a type a love that is meant to be then the type of love we are willing to generate and expend.
  
• We think that the love we currently have is the same love that the commandment requires and yet the Old Testament history of Israel proves over and over that it isn't the same.
  
• We think that we can avoid all the details of the type of well defined love that the commandments seek by simply spewing forth our type of nebulous self serving love and nothing other.
  
• Love for God and neighbor becomes love just as the sinful heart wants it to be, an excuse for doing as it is already doing.
  
• Who shall ascend the LORD's hill and stand in HIS holy place? A man or woman of this fallacious form of love? Certainly not!
  


• Without a proper sacrifice for atonement what does it mean to have clean hands? It means to never have ever dirtied them.
  
• With a proper sacrifice for atonement what does it mean to have clean hands? It means to still remain under the covering of that proper atonement? To have not yet left one's positioning behind it. Whose hands are not all the time dirty?
  
• Without a proper sacrifice for atonement what does it mean to have pure heart?
  
• Without a proper sacrifice for atonement what does it mean to have never sworn oneself to vanity?
  
• Well the we must conclude that for the sons and daughters of Adam it all comes down to that proper sacrifice for atonement.
  
• Well then the proper sacrifice for atonement must come down to the proper sacrifice Messiah Jehovah.
  


• Take the sum of the commandment love the LORD your God with all...
  
• Jesus put it this way: how can you say that you honor the Father when you dishonor the Son whom the Father sent?
  
• Who is this Son? The Shepherd who gave His life for His flock to become the proper permanent atonement.
  
• Who is this Shepherd? The Jehovah Son whom the Jehovah Father sent to be propitiation for the sins of the world.
  
• Why the Jehovah Son and not an Angel or other godly man? Jehovah Son is the only proper atonement.
  
• Why is Jehovah Son the only proper atonement? Because only He has clean hands, a pure heart, never has sworn Himself to vanity. Because only Jehovah Son could leave His holy eternal abode, take upon Him our flesh, become like us tempted in all things as are we, surrender Himself to the Father's will so completely as to suffer His own death, receive upon Himself the transfer of our sins and sicknesses, bury our sins and sickness, be raised by His Father the third day before His body would see its corruption, re-enter the eternal gates triumphant, be placed at the right hand throne of the Father until His enemies could be made His footstool. That's why!
  


• It is not just any man that can ascend this steep of a hill, following the lone trail of incarnation, temptation, trial, death, resurrection and ascension to get there.
  
• It is not just any man that can stand where Jehovah Son now stands in Jehovah Father's most holy place.
  
• While there is many a poor weary soul attempting to climb this hill themselves, the best that they can do is peek for a moment from out of the pit they have themselves dug filled with the muddy drudge their father Adam left for them.
  
• Many to this day included Jesus in that weary lot, else they consider that Mohamed or Buddha or Confucius also climb such a ominous mount and are become a similar proper atonement for us. They did no such thing (it wasn't even on their list of things meaning to gt done - nor could they had they known).
  


• What can we say about Jehovah Son that we cannot say about these several others?
  
• That He is Jehovah Son and no one else is
  







4. Section 4: "and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors"
   
• Jehovah Son = Jehovah Messiah. Doesn't that mean that there is more than one God?
  
• Let me begin this defense by pointing to the context of this psalm as a whole.
  
• If Psalm 24 is not talking about one person (Possessor of Earth and fullness thereof, founder, ascending with clean hands/heart, receiving the blessing of His Father's salvation, sought of by Jacob, returning triumphantly through the gates of Eternity as King of Glory) then there is no continuity in Psalm 24, it is a jerky hodgepodge.
  
• We otherwise have the pleasant thought of Earth being the LORD's, interrupted by someone that isn't in the LORD's holy place trying to behave/work/raise himself back in, interrupted by a generation seeking Jacob's face, concluded by Jehovah parading around the gates of eternity as king of glory. Why didn't David just write four different psalms to avoid the confusion?
  
• The key to me seems to this person ascending. If it is not Messiah, who else has clean enough hands/pure enough heart/having never sworn himself to any vanity? Without a lasting sacrifice for atonement not even Abraham nor Moses could qualify for this.
  
• If it is clean Messiah entering the eternal gates, then it is Messiah that is King of Glory. If Messiah is King of Glory, then Messiah is also LORD of Hosts, possessor of earth and all the fullness thereof, founder and establish-er of it upon the seas.
  
• The problem many people have with this interpretation is it suggests that there is a divinity to Christ in some respect or all respects, and in that the idea of there being more than one God.
  
• ? = does the text of this psalm support either conclusion?
  


• the Divinity of Messiah is considered blasphemy by many.

• Make no mistake: Jesus claimed to be equal to God (and was understood by others to have claimed this without His reproof)
  

kjv@John:5:18 @ Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

• It was primarily Jesus' claim of equality with the Father that the chief priests used to sentence Him. He went to His grave in unapologetic defense of this.
  
• It is not only Jesus that has said this. Isaiah says this about Messiah: kjv@Isaiah:9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, _The mighty God_, _The everlasting Father_, The Prince of Peace". (Names and attributes of Jehovah shared with Messiah)
  
• Jeremiah says this about Messiah" kjv@Jeremiah:23:6 "In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS". (Jehovah's name attributed to Messiah)
  
• Hosea says about Messiah: kjv@Hosea:1:7 "But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, _and (I - Word of Jehovah implied) will save them by the LORD their God_, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen".
  
• Micah says about Messiah: kjv@Micah:5:2 "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting". (from everlasting (past or past to future) - not ever mentioned of angels)
  
• Paul wrote:

• In previous psalms in this series we have profiled the need for Christ to be God's suffering servant, having accomplished that He is qualified to become God's Messianic King, having become that He is qualified to be God's Messianic Shepherd. There is a series of necessary steps Messiah must go through that no other man could accomplish for themselves to become all of these things to us.
  
• The generation of Israel has waited for the man Messiah to appear and accomplish this for them since the time of Jacob and before. Yet they reject the appearance of such a man two thousand years ago based upon His claims of equality with God. It has been such a long time waiting that some have taken to believing this suffering servant to be the nation of Israel itself.
  
• What would it mean to Israel however if "The LORD our God is one LORD" better meant that the Father Son and Holy Spirit are one in actual substance with the Father? It would mean that their searching for Messiah could well of ended 2000 years ago.
  
• As hard of a concept as it is to understand, what is it that is violated by Jesus claiming equality with His Father?
  
• Ask yourself again: what man is there that has clean enough hands and a pure enough heart that has not once sworn themselves to vanity enough to ascend the Hill of the LORD? Perhaps now you see the necessity of Christ being more than man or angel, to have the penalty and remembrance of our sins inflicted upon Him in His death, to be raised to the right-hand throne till His enemies be made His footstool, otherwise there would be no one else that could ascend join Him.
  


• The difficulty even for Christians is to understand and accurately describe how this one substance Trinity or Godhead works without there being a plurality of Gods.
  
• Some describe it as three distinct and separate persons united by will and love for each other (like a marriage)
  
• Some link them by means of delegation, it is the Father behind it all, Son and Spirit are delegated as official representatives to carry it out. There is an equality in that the Son and Spirit speak with the Father's delegated authority.
  
• There is also some that prefer that this is three manifestations of the same one person.
  
• While there are plausible strengths to each of these formulations, there are also inherent weaknesses. I am not as convinced of the mechanism of Trinity as I am the absolute necessity.
  


• It may well be a deficiency of human language or logic to explain the workings of this. Perhaps the closest language we have to describe this is the words chosen by the prophets and apostles and even Jesus Himself: Father, Son, Spirit.
  
• Take the Spirit, the first we see of the Holy Spirit is hovering over the water kjv@Genesis:1:2. The Hebrew there suggests wind/breath/exaltation of God. It is weird to think of the self existent God to be breathing, HE certainly does not breath in as do we, there is nothing other than HIM to breathe in. God would only need to breath out once into this creation and HE is breathing out from within HIMSELF. Jesus and others assign this breath individual characteristics and personality. The Spirit did not begin at creation, it is not said the winds of Earth moved over the waters, the Spirit is just as essential to God as the breath within a man's lung (even though in God's case the breath comes from nowhere other).
  
• Now take the Son, the Son comes from the Father. Jesus claims to have had a glory with the Father before the world began kjv@John:17. The emphasis can not be on the Son having a birth/beginning, the emphasis has to be placed on where His entity is from. His entity is not sourced from any one other than the Father. HE is not self existent in any other fashion than having existed all along in the Father. Just as essential as the breath in a man's lungs is the fruit of his seed (even though in God's case HIS seed has no beginning, has been HIS only seed all along).
  
• Man is not the seed of God in the same sense. Man is God's creation. From nothing was he made other than the voice of God. Man being the fullness of Earth is possessed by God. The Son and Spirit are not possessed by the Father, they emanate without beginning or end from the Father.
  


• Jesus did not claim equality merely by association/representation; any prophet or angel could have claimed that.
  
• Representative (ambassador) = designated person standing in place of officially with the authority to speak for/negotiate for/sign for.
  
• Jesus tells of a rich landowner who sends several of his representatives to collect the revenues of his harvest being withheld/stolen by the vineyard laborers for themselves. Despite their legal authority, these delegated representatives are turned back and severally mistreated. The landowner then sends his son, who not only carries with him representative right but full inherent natural or possessive right of claim, for which he is murdered. Both legal factors can be implied in Jesus' case, the blood right and the representative right; neither can be excluded. There can be no other conclusion drawn as to why Jesus would present to us such an illustration.
  


• With this understanding of both representative and blood right/authority, let's re-examine the Jews' argument:
  

kjv@Isaiah:44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God".


• Can this be translated (without a plurality of Gods)?:
  

kjv@Isaiah:44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel (Jehovah Son/Messiah (King whom the gates of eternity reopen for)), and his (Israel's) redeemer the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Father/Son); I (we by emanant source, being of the same will and authority and substance) am the first, and I (we) am the last; and beside me (us) there is no God (el-o-heem - supreme)".


• Else
  

kjv@Isaiah:44:6 "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel (Jehovah Son/Messiah (King whom the gates of eternity reopen for)), and his (Messiah's) redeemer the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Father); I (we Father/Son/Spirit by emanant source, being of the same will and authority and substance) am the first, and I (we) am the last; and beside me (us) there is no God (el-o-heem - supreme)".


• And again:
  

kjv@Deuteronomy:6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD (Jehovah Father/Son/Spirit) our (Israel's) God (el-o-heem - supreme) is one (united/alike/same in substance and authority/altogether) LORD (Jehovah):".


• The Father's substance and authority shared in three distinct persons, three distinct roles, each Jehovah, all Jehovah, like unto the Father and as the Father supreme; One.
  


• Hard as the mechanics of this are to conceptualize, does the basic concept of it violate there being one God?
  
• It still comes back there being a necessity for this Godhead. There are several puzzling questions found in the scriptures that a single person God just doesn't fill or fit. There are several pictures of the requirements of Christ that are difficult if not impossible to resolve without being convinced of three.
  
• We'll explore a few of those scriptures in the next section.
  


• Jesus makes a curious reference to one of David's other psalms kjv@Psalms:110



kjv@Mark:12:35-36 @ And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.


• In kjv@Psalms:110 LORD Jehovah says to David's Lord âdôn (sovereign master) sit at the judgment side of MY throne until I make your enemies a place to rest/stomp your feet. (Remember Adam was told "crush" Serpent's head)
  
• David is never described as having a master other than Jehovah, certainly not a human master that would be raised to Jehovah's judgment seat. Messiah has to be indicated here, a master David is already acquainted with and is serving. This 1040 years before Messiah appears to us in human flesh. If David had been worshiping a master other than Jehovah or Jehovah's designate would not David receive Jehovah's rebuke?
  
• It is interesting how kjv@Psalms:110 continues. It leaves no doubt as to who David's Adon is; it is Messiah the kingly priest after the order of Melchizedek whom Jehovah will use as HIS rod of judgment over the godless of Earth.
  
• It is also interesting the sequence of events kjv@Psalms:110 that David's Adon is taken to the right hand throne first, waits for Jehovah's further work, then is used as Jehovah's final rod of judgment. (Perhaps first things must come first, Jesus has to be qualified as Priest and King, wait for a time for the Father's further work, before He can be sent again to stomp Satin's head).
  
• Could this be the same kingly priest that David is describing here as the King of Glory? whom he also equates to also be Jehovah?
  
• Could this be the Son whom David elsewhere says the kings of the other nations need to kiss lest He be angry?
  


• There are other curious potential refferences to trinity in the scriptures:
  
• kjv@Genesis:1:26 @ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...
  
• kjv@Genesis:3:8 @ And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day... (who has seen the LORD and lived? kjv@Exodus:33:20)
  
• kjv@Genesis:3:22 @ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us...
  
• Just to name a few...
  
• Now there is certainly debate and mystery. This trinitarian view has been a major contention in the Church throughout all Church ages. It is not until one sees the necessity of this being so that we see the scriptures actually pointing to it.
  
• Other theologies have Christ either as a man or as an archangel. Some see each of us becoming Son's of God in the exact same sense as did this man or angel. We are identified often as children of sons of God by adoption/inheritance. We are mentioned as a royal priesthood, but it was being gods in our own eyes that also made us to fall from grace.
  
• In our case it is because of Christ Jesus that we have been adopted, not like Jesus Christ was adopted. Jesus Christ is the only begotten, not the first begotten.
  
• Our adoption then is not because some man or angel first became this, it is because God became this in the form of HIS only begotten.
  


• We have to again ask ourselves, just as the psalmist, "Who shall ascend"? He who has.... So then who has clean hands/pure heart/not sworn to vanity? God! Who else? No one.
  
• Every one else requires a blood atonement to cover and purge the remembrance of their many sins, even Moses, repeatedly, unless their sacrificial Lamb is Jesus. Why Jesus? Because Jesus is the only permanent covering. Why permanent? Because He is begotten from the substance of God which no other person with out Him is, except in the sense of being redeemed then adopted.
  
• If it is not God providing for the sacrifice of HIS own Son, as illustrated plainly to Abraham, then it is a temporary sacrifice made by Levitical priests of mere animals.
  


• So, when you say Jesus is not God, you are saying that you do not accept God's permanent substitutionary all sufficient sacrifice, you prefer to go on as you are, try to do your salvation your own self, requiring frequent re-atonement, no spiritual regeneration. Or you are saying that the sacrifice of a man or angel is more than enough for you, and that you want to become just like that.
  
• In a world full of a pantheon of various gods, it is important for Israel to know that no other divine 'Eloheem' exits, it is important to know that as confusing as the concept of Father/Son and Holy Spirit is, these triune members of the Godhead behave and interact as one united Jehovah Supreme, one is not going to say or do or judge any different than the next.
  

kjv@John:17:1 @ These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

kjv@John:17:2 @ As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

kjv@John:17:3 @ And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

kjv@John:17:4 @ I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

kjv@John:17:5 @ And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

kjv@John:17:6 @ I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

• I am not sure that there is one definitive verse in the OT that will satisfy everyone's curiosity regarding the divine nature of Messiah.
  
• It is not until one combines these many odd descriptions of the Son and the King and the Priest, priestly orders, gates being entered, LORD of my Lord at righthand throne, rod struck upon the kingdoms of Earth, possessors and founders and shepherd and Jehovah providing HIS own Lamb, the prophetical names of, the ceremonial symbology intituted, shadows and types etc... that one begins asking who is this Messiah? and what makes Him so different than what God could have done say Issac or Moses or David or John the Baptist? what is it that makes His salvation to His Father the basis for our salvation unto Him?
  
• The answer becomes quite clear the more you look into this: what is different and special is that this Messiah is the very image and nature of God.
  







5. Section 5: "Who is this King of glory?"
   
• The question is asked twice/three answers are given:
  
• kjv@Psalms:24:8 ...The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
  
• kjv@Psalms:24:10 ...The LORD of hosts
  
• In all three cases we are given the answer Jehovah (the self Existent or eternal)
  
• Each is assigned warrior like attributes
  
• Perhaps our Messianic Profile today is best describes a Jehovah Warrior (He is the King of Glory entering the eternal gates once again)
  


• At this stage in the Gospel's development most people do not think of Christ Jesus as a warrior.
  
• They think of Him as humble, self sacrificing, a victim suffering the sins of man.
  
• Think though would you in terms of the victories already won, over sin, over death, kjv@Colossians:2:15 "...having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly , triumphing over them in it".
  
• Not bad to start! But wait, there is a whole lot more Jehovah Warrior business left to come.
  
• Neither do most people think of Christ Jesus as Jehovah.
  


• Jesus once said:
  

kjv@John:10:36-38 @ Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.


• John: "whom the Father hath sanctified" = Peter: kjv@1Peter:1:20 @ "Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world..."
  
• John: "the works of my Father" = Paul: "kjv@2Corinthians:5:19 @ To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself....".
  
• "believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him" - These are the types of works (salvation/redemption/purification/sanctification/justification etc...) that only a Son of God with God in Him can do.
  


• The apostle also John wrote:
  

kjv@John:1:14 @ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.


• "the Word" = "kjv@John:1:1 @ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
  
• "was made flesh" = the same flesh Isaiah spoke of "kjv@Isaiah:7:14 @ Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" (kjv@Matthew:1:23 ...Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.)
  
• "and we beheld his glory" - could this be David's King of Glory? "the glory as of the only begotten of the Father"
  


• That is why the apostle Paul wrote:
  

kjv@1Timothy:3:16 @ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.


• And again:
  

kjv@Colossians:2:9 @ For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.




• Psalm 24: "The earth is the LORDS, and the fulness thereof"
  
• *Why is Messiah considered the possessor along with the Father? Because:
  
• 1. Not only was He part of the Godhead who founded and established it:
  

kjv@John:1:1-4 @ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made...


• 2. It was created for Him and by Him all things consist (kjv@Colossians:1:16-17). Better put:
  

kjv@1Corinthians:8:6 @ But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.


• The same is true of the Holy Spirit:
  

kjv@Psalms:104:30 @ Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.


• 3. Not only is Messiah in on the creation, the consisting by and for, He is shown to be part of the Godhead determined to steer this ship to its ultimate eternal destination. In previous Psalms we have profiled the Son's Messianic work as Suffering Servant, Spiritual Shepherd, King, there will also be a profile soon of His role as our High Priest.
  


• Why would the Godhead put themselves and their good reputation to all of this?
  

kjv@Psalms:144:3 @ LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him or the son of man, that thou makest account of him


kjv@Psalms:103:15-17 @ As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

kjv@Romans:5:8-11 @ But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.


• In the end it all comes down the Father's love for the Son, the Son's love for the Father and THEIR love and designs for us:
  

kjv@Romans:8:29 @ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.




• Who shall ascend?
  
• He that has already ascended to the right hand throne:

kjv@Psalms:68:18 @ Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men...




• Whose face should this generation seek?
  

kjv@2Corinthians:4:6 .... the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.


kjv@John:14:8-9 @ Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?


• Who is this Son/King/Jehovah?
  

kjv@1Corinthians:2:7-8 @ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.


• James concurs: kjv@James:2:1 @ ...our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory
  
• Jesus said:
  

kjv@John:15:23-26 @ He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father....




• Psalm 24: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in".
  
• Jehovah the Father never left HIS rightful place, but a sizeable and most precious irreducible part of Him for a moment did.
  
• This portion sent to us for that short time could not stay. His accomplishments remain with us today 2000 years later and are building to one triumphant climax. For now perhaps His greatest accomplishment = the sending of the Holy Spirit to carry on His work:
  

kjv@John:16:7-14 @ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.




• In closing:"Messianic Profile 4: Messiah Jehovah?"
  
• Psalm 24 "Who is this King of glory? = The LORD (Jehovah) of hosts (a mass of organized people on a military campaign), he is the King (Royalty) of glory (splendor/honor)".
  
• In Revelations there is a picture of Jesus Christ (suffering servant, spiritual shepherd, intercessor and high priest), Jesus Son of God, King of Glory/Warrior King along with His redeemed masses returning to Earth and the remaining fullness thereof:
