* My little children , let us not love (5725 ) in word , neither in tongue ; but in deed and in truth . * And hereby we know (5719 ) that we are (5748 ) of the truth , and shall assure (5692 ) our hearts before him . * For if our heart condemn us (5725 ), God is (5748 ) greater than our heart , and knoweth (5719 ) all things . * Beloved , if our heart condemn (5725 ) us not , then have we (5719 ) confidence toward God . * And whatsoever we ask (5725 ), we receive (5719 ) of him , because we keep (5719 ) his commandments , and do (5719 ) those things that are pleasing in his sight . * And this is (5748 ) his commandment , That we should believe (5661 ) on the name of his Son Jesus Christ , and love (5725 ) one another , as he gave (5656 ) us commandment . * And he that keepeth (5723 ) his commandments dwelleth (5719 ) in him , and he in him . And hereby we know (5719 ) that he abideth (5719 ) in us , by the Spirit which he hath given (5656 ) us .
