* He that committeth (5723 ) sin is (5748 ) of the devil ; for the devil sinneth (5719 ) from the beginning . For this purpose the Son of God was manifested (5681 ), that he might destroy (5661 ) the works of the devil . * Whosoever is born (5772 ) of God doth (5719 ) not commit sin ; for his seed remaineth (5719 ) in him : and he cannot (5736 ) sin (5721 ), because he is born (5769 ) of God .
