* If ye be reproached (5743 ) for the name of Christ , happy are ye ; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth (5731 ) upon you : on their part he is evil spoken of (5743 ), but on your part he is glorified (5743 ). * But let none of you suffer (5720 ) as a murderer , or as a thief , or as an evildoer , or as a busybody in other mens matters . * Yet if any man suffer as a Christian , let him not be ashamed (5744 ); but let him glorify (5720 ) God on this behalf . * For the time is come that judgment must begin (5670 ) at the house of God : and if it first begin at us , what shall the end be of them that obey not (5723 ) the gospel of God ? * And if the righteous scarcely be saved (5743 ), where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear (5695 )? * Wherefore let them that suffer (5723 ) according to the will of God commit the keeping (5744 ) of their souls to him in well doing , as unto a faithful Creator .
