* For the time past (5756 ) of our life may suffice us to have wrought (5664 ) the will of the Gentiles , when we walked (5768 ) in lasciviousness , lusts , excess of wine , revellings , banquetings , and abominable idolatries : * Wherein they think it strange (5743 ) that ye run (5723 ) not with them to the same excess of riot , speaking evil of (5723 ) you : * Who shall give (5692 ) account to him that is (5723 ) ready to judge (5658 ) the quick (5723 ) and the dead . * For for this cause was the gospel preached (5681 ) also to them that are dead , that they might be judged (5686 ) according to men in the flesh , but live (5725 ) according to God in the spirit . * But the end of all things is at hand (5758 ): be ye therefore sober (5657 ), and watch (5657 ) unto prayer .
