* Furthermore then we beseech (5719 ) you , brethren , and exhort (5719 ) you by the Lord Jesus , that as ye have received (5627 ) of us how ye ought (5748 ) to walk (5721 ) and to please (5721 ) God , so ye would abound (5725 ) more and more . * For ye know (5758 ) what commandments we gave (5656 ) you by the Lord Jesus . * For this is (5748 ) the will of God , even your sanctification , that ye should abstain (5733 ) from fornication : * That every one of you should know (5760 ) how to possess (5738 ) his vessel in sanctification and honour ; * Not in the lust of concupiscence , even as the Gentiles which know (5761 ) not God : * That no man go beyond (5721 ) and defraud (5721 ) his brother in any matter : because that the Lord is the avenger of all such , as we also have forewarned (5656 ) you and testified (5662 ). * For God hath not called (5656 ) us unto uncleanness , but unto holiness . * He therefore that despiseth (5723 ), despiseth (5719 ) not man , but God , who hath also given (5631 ) unto us his holy Spirit .
