* For yourselves know (5758 ) perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh (5736 ) as a thief in the night . * For when they shall say (5725 ), Peace and safety ; then sudden destruction cometh upon (5731 ) them , as travail upon a woman with child (5723 ); and they shall not escape (5632 ). * But ye , brethren , are (5748 ) not in darkness , that that day should overtake (5632 ) you as a thief . * Ye are (5748 ) all the children of light , and the children of the day : we are (5748 ) not of the night , nor of darkness . * Therefore let us not sleep (5725 ), as do others ; but let us watch (5725 ) and be sober (5725 ).
