* Would to God ye could bear (5711 ) with me a little in my folly : and indeed bear (5736 ) with me . * For I am jealous (5719 ) over you with godly jealousy : for I have espoused (5668 ) you to one husband , that I may present (5658 ) you as a chaste virgin to Christ . * But I fear (5736 ), lest by any means , as the serpent beguiled (5656 ) Eve through his subtilty , so your minds should be corrupted (5652 ) from the simplicity that is in Christ . * For if he that cometh (5740 ) preacheth (5719 ) another Jesus , whom we have not preached (5656 ), or if ye receive (5719 ) another spirit , which ye have not received (5627 ), or another gospel , which ye have not accepted (5662 ), ye might well bear with (5711 ) him . * For I suppose (5736 ) I was not a whit behind (5760 ) the very chiefest apostles . * But though I be rude in speech , yet not in knowledge ; but we have been throughly made manifest (5685 ) among you in all things . * Have I committed (5656 ) an offence in abasing (5723 ) myself that ye might be exalted (5686 ), because I have preached (5668 ) to you the gospel of God freely ? * I robbed (5656 ) other churches , taking (5631 ) wages of them , to do you service . * And when I was present (5752 ) with you , and wanted (5685 ), I was chargeable (5656 ) to no man : for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came (5631 ) from Macedonia supplied (5656 ): and in all things I have kept (5656 ) myself from being burdensome unto you , and so will I keep (5692 ) myself . * As the truth of Christ is (5748 ) in me , no man shall stop (5695 ) (5625 ) (5691 ) me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia . * Wherefore ? because I love (5719 ) you not ? God knoweth (5758 ). * But what I do (5719 ), that I will do (5692 ), that I may cut off (5661 ) occasion from them which desire (5723 ) occasion ; that wherein they glory (5736 ), they may be found (5686 ) even as we . * For such are false apostles , deceitful workers , transforming themselves (5734 ) into the apostles of Christ . * And no marvel ; for Satan himself is transformed (5731 ) into an angel of light . * Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed (5743 ) as the ministers of righteousness ; whose end shall be (5704 ) according to their works . * I say (5719 ) again , Let no man think (5661 ) me (5750 ) a fool ; if otherwise , yet as a fool receive (5663 ) me , that I may boast myself (5667 ) a little . * That which I speak (5719 ), I speak (5719 ) it not after the Lord , but as it were foolishly , in this confidence of boasting . * Seeing that many glory (5736 ) after the flesh , I will glory (5695 ) also . * For ye suffer (5736 ) fools gladly , seeing ye yourselves are (5752 ) wise . * For ye suffer (5736 ), if a man bring you into bondage (5719 ), if a man devour (5719 ) you , if a man take (5719 ) of you , if a man exalt himself (5731 ), if a man smite (5719 ) you on the face . * I speak (5719 ) as concerning reproach , as though we had been weak (5656 ). Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold (5725 ), (I speak (5719 ) foolishly ,) I am bold (5719 ) also . * Are they (5748 ) Hebrews ? so am I . Are they (5748 ) Israelites ? so am I . Are they (5748 ) the seed of Abraham ? so am I . * Are they (5748 ) ministers of Christ ? (I speak (5719 ) as a fool (5723 )) I am more ; in labours more abundant , in stripes above measure , in prisons more frequent , in deaths oft . * Of the Jews five times received I (5627 ) forty stripes save one . * Thrice was I beaten with rods (5681 ), once was I stoned (5681 ), thrice I suffered shipwreck (5656 ), a night and a day I have been (5758 ) in the deep ; * In journeyings often , in perils of waters , in perils of robbers , in perils by mine own countrymen , in perils by the heathen , in perils in the city , in perils in the wilderness , in perils in the sea , in perils among false brethren ; * In weariness and painfulness , in watchings often , in hunger and thirst , in fastings often , in cold and nakedness . * Beside those things that are without , that which cometh upon me daily , the care of all the churches . * Who is weak (5719 ), and I am not weak (5719 )? who is offended (5743 ), and I burn (5743 ) not ? * If I must needs (5748 ) glory (5738 ), I will glory (5695 ) of the things which concern mine infirmities . * The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ , which is (5752 ) blessed for evermore , knoweth (5758 ) that I lie (5736 ) not . * In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison (5707 ), desirous (5723 ) to apprehend (5658 ) me : * And through a window in a basket was I let down (5681 ) by the wall , and escaped (5627 ) his hands .
