Spots they are and blemishes , sporting themselves (5723 ) with their own deceivings while they feast (5740 ) with you ; * Having (5723 ) eyes full of adultery , and that cannot cease from sin ; beguiling (5723 ) unstable souls : an heart they have (5723 ) exercised (5772 ) with covetous practices ; cursed children : * Which have forsaken (5631 ) the right way , and are gone astray (5681 ), following (5660 ) the way of Balaam the son of Bosor , who loved (5656 ) the wages of unrighteousness ; * But was (5627 ) rebuked for his iniquity : the dumb ass speaking (5674 ) with mans voice forbad (5656 ) the madness of the prophet . * These are (5748 ) wells without water , clouds that are carried (5746 ) with a tempest ; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved (5769 ) for ever . * For when they speak (5726 ) great swelling words of vanity , they allure (5719 ) through the lusts of the flesh , through much wantonness , those that were clean escaped (5631 ) from them who live (5746 ) in error . * While they promise (5740 ) them liberty , they themselves are (5723 ) the servants of corruption : for of whom a man is overcome (5766 ), of the same is he brought in bondage (5769 ). * For if after they have escaped (5631 ) the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ , they are again entangled (5651 ) therein , and overcome (5754 ) (5736 ), the latter end is worse with them than the beginning . * For it had been (5713 ) better for them not to have known (5760 ) the way of righteousness , than , after they have known (5631 ) it , to turn (5658 ) from the holy commandment delivered (5685 ) unto them . * But it is happened (5758 ) unto them according to the true proverb , The dog is turned to his own vomit again (5660 ); and the sow that was washed (5671 ) to her wallowing in the mire .
