* But the day of the Lord will come (5692 ) as a thief in the night ; in the which the heavens shall pass away (5695 ) with a great noise , and the elements shall melt (5701 ) with fervent heat (5746 ), the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up (5691 ). * Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved (5746 ), what manner of persons ought (5748 ) ye to be (5721 ) in all holy conversation and godliness , * Looking for (5723 ) and hasting (5723 ) unto the coming of the day of God , wherein the heavens being on fire (5746 ) shall be dissolved (5701 ), and the elements shall melt (5743 ) with fervent heat (5746 )?
