* And it came to pass (5633 ) on the morrow , that their rulers , and elders , and scribes , * And Annas the high priest , and Caiaphas , and John , and Alexander , and as many as were (5713 ) of the kindred of the high priest , were gathered together (5683 ) at Jerusalem . * And when they had set (5660 ) them in the midst , they asked (5711 ), By what power , or by what name , have ye done (5656 ) this ? * Then Peter , filled (5685 ) with the Holy Ghost , said (5627 ) unto them , Ye rulers of the people , and elders of Israel , * If we this day be examined (5743 ) of the good deed done to the impotent man , by what means he is made whole (5769 ); * Be it (5749 ) known unto you all , and to all the people of Israel , that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth , whom ye crucified (5656 ), whom God raised (5656 ) from the dead , even by him doth this man stand here (5758 ) before you whole . * This is (5748 ) the stone which was set at nought (5685 ) of you builders (5723 ), which is become (5637 ) the head of the corner .
