* In which time Moses was born (5681 ), and was (5713 ) exceeding fair , and nourished up (5648 ) in his fathers house three months : * And when he was cast out (5685 ), Pharaohs daughter took him up (5639 ), and nourished (5668 ) him for her own son . * And Moses was learned (5681 ) in all the wisdom of the Egyptians , and was (5713 ) mighty in words and in deeds . * And when he was full (5712 ) forty years old , it came (5627 ) into his heart to visit (5664 ) his brethren the children of Israel . * And seeing (5631 ) one of them suffer wrong (5746 ), he defended (5662 ) him , and avenged (5656 ) him that was oppressed (5746 ), and smote (5660 ) the Egyptian : * For he supposed (5707 ) his brethren would have understood (5721 ) how that God by his hand would deliver (5719 ) them : but they understood (5656 ) not .
