And at that time there was (5633 ) a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem ; and they were all scattered abroad (5681 ) throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria , except the apostles . * And devout men carried (5656 ) Stephen to his burial , and made (5668 ) great lamentation over him . * As for Saul , he made havock (5711 ) of the church , entering into (5740 ) every house , and haling (5723 ) men and women committed (5707 ) them to prison .
