* For I would (5719 ) that ye knew (5760 ) what great conflict I have (5719 ) for you , and for them at Laodicea , and for as many as have not seen (5758 ) my face in the flesh ; * That their hearts might be comforted (5686 ), being knit together (5685 ) in love , and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding , to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God , and of the Father , and of Christ ; * In whom are (5748 ) hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge . * And this I say (5719 ), lest any man should beguile (5741 ) you with enticing words . * For though I be absent (5748 ) in the flesh , yet am I (5748 ) with you in the spirit , joying (5723 ) and beholding (5723 ) your order , and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ . * As ye have therefore received (5627 ) Christ Jesus the Lord , so walk ye (5720 ) in him : * Rooted (5772 ) and built up (5746 ) in him , and stablished (5746 ) in the faith , as ye have been taught (5681 ), abounding (5723 ) therein with thanksgiving . * Beware (5720 ) lest any man spoil (5704 ) (5723 ) you through philosophy and vain deceit , after the tradition of men , after the rudiments of the world , and not after Christ . * For in him dwelleth (5719 ) all the fulness of the Godhead bodily . * And ye are (5748 ) complete (5772 ) in him , which is (5748 ) the head of all principality and power : * In whom also ye are circumcised (5681 ) with the circumcision made without hands , in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ : * Buried with (5651 ) him in baptism , wherein also ye are risen with (5681 ) him through the faith of the operation of God , who hath raised (5660 ) him from the dead . * And you , being (5752 ) dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh , hath he quickened together (5656 ) with him , having forgiven (5666 ) you all trespasses ; * Blotting out (5660 ) the handwriting of ordinances that was against us , which was (5713 ) contrary to us , and took (5758 ) it out of the way , nailing (5660 ) it to his cross ; * And having spoiled (5666 ) principalities and powers , he made a shew of them (5656 ) openly , triumphing over (5660 ) them in it . * Let no man therefore judge (5720 ) you in meat , or in drink , or in respect of an holyday , or of the new moon , or of the sabbath days : * Which are (5748 ) a shadow of things to come (5723 ); but the body is of Christ . * Let no man beguile you of your reward (5720 ) in a voluntary (5723 ) humility and worshipping of angels , intruding into (5723 ) those things which he hath not seen (5758 ), vainly puffed up (5746 ) by his fleshly mind , * And not holding (5723 ) the Head , from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered (5746 ), and knit together (5746 ), increaseth (5719 ) with the increase of God . * Wherefore if ye be dead (5627 ) with Christ from the rudiments of the world , why , as though living (5723 ) in the world , are ye subject to ordinances (5743 ), * (Touch (5672 ) not ; taste (5667 ) not ; handle (5632 ) not ; * Which all are (5748 ) to perish with the using ;) after the commandments and doctrines of men ? * Which things have (5723 ) indeed a shew (5748 ) of wisdom in will worship , and humility , and neglecting of the body ; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh .
