* If ye then be risen (5681 ) with Christ , seek (5720 ) those things which are above , where Christ sitteth (5748 ) (5740 ) on the right hand of God . * Set your affection (5720 ) on things above , not on things on the earth . * For ye are dead (5627 ), and your life is hid (5769 ) with Christ in God . * When Christ , who is our life , shall appear (5686 ), then shall ye also appear (5701 ) with him in glory . * Mortify (5657 ) therefore your members which are upon the earth ; fornication , uncleanness , inordinate affection , evil concupiscence , and covetousness , which is (5748 ) idolatry : * For which things sake the wrath of God cometh (5736 ) on the children of disobedience : * In the which ye also walked (5656 ) some time , when ye lived (5707 ) in them . * But now ye also put off (5640 ) all these ; anger , wrath , malice , blasphemy , filthy communication out of your mouth . * Lie (5732 ) not one to another , seeing that ye have put off (5666 ) the old man with his deeds ; * And have put on (5671 ) the new man , which is renewed (5746 ) in knowledge after the image of him that created (5660 ) him : * Where there is (5748 ) neither Greek nor Jew , circumcision nor uncircumcision , Barbarian , Scythian , bond nor free : but Christ is all , and in all . * Put on (5669 ) therefore , as the elect of God , holy and beloved (5772 ), bowels of mercies , kindness , humbleness of mind , meekness , longsuffering ; * Forbearing (5740 ) one another , and forgiving (5740 ) one another , if any man have (5725 ) a quarrel against any : even as Christ forgave (5662 ) you , so also do ye . * And above all these things put on charity , which is (5748 ) the bond of perfectness . * And let the peace of God rule (5720 ) in your hearts , to the which also ye are called (5681 ) in one body ; and be ye (5737 ) thankful . * Let the word of Christ dwell (5720 ) in you richly in all wisdom ; teaching (5723 ) and admonishing (5723 ) one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs , singing (5723 ) with grace in your hearts to the Lord . * And whatsoever ye do (5725 ) in word or deed , do all in the name of the Lord Jesus , giving thanks (5723 ) to God and the Father by him . * Wives , submit yourselves (5732 ) unto your own husbands , as it is fit (5707 ) in the Lord . * Husbands , love (5720 ) your wives , and be not bitter (5744 ) against them . * Children , obey (5720 ) your parents in all things : for this is (5748 ) well pleasing unto the Lord . * Fathers , provoke (5720 ) not your children to anger , lest they be discouraged (5725 ). * Servants , obey (5720 ) in all things your masters according to the flesh ; not with eyeservice , as menpleasers ; but in singleness of heart , fearing (5740 ) God : * And whatsoever ye do (5725 ), do (5737 ) it heartily , as to the Lord , and not unto men ; * Knowing (5761 ) that of the Lord ye shall receive (5695 ) the reward of the inheritance : for ye serve (5719 ) the Lord Christ . * But he that doeth wrong (5723 ) shall receive (5695 ) for the wrong which he hath done (5656 ): and there is (5748 ) no respect of persons .
