* And you hath he quickened , who were (5752 ) dead in trespasses and sins ; * Wherein in time past ye walked (5656 ) according to the course of this world , according to the prince of the power of the air , the spirit that now worketh (5723 ) in the children of disobedience : * Among whom also we all had our conversation (5648 ) in times past in the lusts of our flesh , fulfilling (5723 ) the desires of the flesh and of the mind ; and were (5713 ) by nature the children of wrath , even as others . * But God , who is (5752 ) rich in mercy , for his great love wherewith he loved (5656 ) us , * Even when we were (5752 ) dead in sins , hath quickened us together with (5656 ) Christ , (by grace ye are (5748 ) saved (5772 );) * And hath raised us up together (5656 ), and made us sit together (5656 ) in heavenly places in Christ Jesus : * That in the ages to come (5740 ) he might shew (5672 ) the exceeding (5723 ) riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus . * For by grace are ye (5748 ) saved (5772 ) through faith ; and that not of yourselves : it is the gift of God : * Not of works , lest any man should boast (5667 ). * For we are (5748 ) his workmanship , created (5685 ) in Christ Jesus unto good works , which God hath before ordained (5656 ) that we should walk (5661 ) in them . * Wherefore remember (5720 ), that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh , who are called (5746 ) Uncircumcision by that which is called (5746 ) the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands ; * That at that time ye were (5713 ) without Christ , being aliens (5772 ) from the commonwealth of Israel , and strangers from the covenants of promise , having (5723 ) no hope , and without God in the world : * But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were (5752 ) far off are made (5675 ) nigh by the blood of Christ . * For he is (5748 ) our peace , who hath made (5660 ) both one , and hath broken down (5660 ) the middle wall of partition between us ; * Having abolished (5660 ) in his flesh the enmity , even the law of commandments contained in ordinances ; for to make (5661 ) in himself of twain one new man , so making (5723 ) peace ; * And that he might reconcile (5661 ) both unto God in one body by the cross , having slain (5660 ) the enmity thereby : * And came (5631 ) and preached (5668 ) peace to you which were afar off , and to them that were nigh . * For through him we both have (5719 ) access by one Spirit unto the Father . * Now therefore ye are (5748 ) no more strangers and foreigners , but fellowcitizens with the saints , and of the household of God ; * And are built (5685 ) upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets , Jesus Christ himself being (5752 ) the chief corner stone ; * In whom all the building fitly framed together (5746 ) groweth (5719 ) unto an holy temple in the Lord : * In whom ye also are builded together (5743 ) for an habitation of God through the Spirit .
