* For if we sin (5723 ) wilfully after that we have received (5629 ) the knowledge of the truth , there remaineth (5743 ) no more sacrifice for sins , * But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation , which shall (5723 ) devour (5721 ) the adversaries . * He that despised (5660 ) Moses law died (5719 ) without mercy under two or three witnesses : * Of how much sorer punishment , suppose ye (5719 ), shall he be thought worthy (5701 ), who hath trodden under foot (5660 ) the Son of God , and hath counted (5666 ) the blood of the covenant , wherewith he was sanctified (5681 ), an unholy thing , and hath done despite (5660 ) unto the Spirit of grace ? * For we know (5758 ) him that hath said (5631 ), Vengeance belongeth unto me , I will recompense (5692 ), saith (5719 ) the Lord . And again , The Lord shall judge (5692 ) (5719 ) his people . * It is a fearful thing to fall (5629 ) into the hands of the living (5723 ) God .
