* But call to remembrance (5732 ) the former days , in which , after ye were illuminated (5685 ), ye endured (5656 ) a great fight of afflictions ; * Partly , whilst ye were made a gazingstock (5746 ) both by reproaches and afflictions ; and partly , whilst ye became (5679 ) companions of them that were so used (5746 ). * For ye had compassion (5656 ) of me in my bonds , and took (5662 ) joyfully the spoiling of your goods (5723 ), knowing (5723 ) in yourselves that ye have (5721 ) in heaven a better and an enduring (5723 ) substance . * Cast not away (5632 ) therefore your confidence , which hath (5719 ) great recompence of reward . * For ye have (5719 ) need of patience , that , after ye have done (5660 ) the will of God , ye might receive (5672 ) the promise . * For yet a little while , and he that shall come (5740 ) will come (5692 ), and will not tarry (5692 ). * Now the just shall live (5695 ) by faith : but if any man draw back (5672 ), my soul shall have no pleasure (5719 ) in him . * But we are (5748 ) not of them who draw back unto perdition ; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul .
