* For ye are not come (5754 ) unto the mount that might be touched (5746 ), and that burned (5772 ) with fire , nor unto blackness , and darkness , and tempest , * And the sound of a trumpet , and the voice of words ; which voice they that heard (5660 ) intreated (5662 ) that the word should not be spoken (5683 ) to them any more : * (For they could not endure (5707 ) that which was commanded (5746 ), And if so much as a beast touch (5632 ) the mountain , it shall be stoned (5701 ), or thrust through (5701 ) with a dart : * And so terrible was (5713 ) the sight (5746 ), that Moses said (5627 ), I exceedingly fear (5748 ) and quake :) * But ye are come (5754 ) unto mount Sion , and unto the city of the living (5723 ) God , the heavenly Jerusalem , and to an innumerable company of angels , * To the general assembly and church of the firstborn , which are written (5772 ) in heaven , and to God the Judge of all , and to the spirits of just men made perfect (5772 ), * And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant , and to the blood of sprinkling , that speaketh (5723 ) better things than that of Abel . * See (5720 ) that ye refuse (5667 ) not him that speaketh (5723 ). For if they escaped (5627 ) not who refused him (5666 ) that spake (5723 ) on earth , much more shall not we escape , if we turn away from him (5734 ) that speaketh from heaven : * Whose voice then shook (5656 ) the earth : but now he hath promised (5766 ), saying (5723 ), Yet once more I shake (5719 ) not the earth only , but also heaven . * And this word , Yet once more , signifieth (5719 ) the removing of those things that are shaken (5746 ), as of things that are made (5772 ), that those things which cannot be shaken (5746 ) may remain (5661 ). * Wherefore we receiving (5723 ) a kingdom which cannot be moved , let us have (5725 ) grace , whereby we may serve (5725 ) God acceptably with reverence and godly fear : * For our God is a consuming (5723 ) fire .
