* Wherefore , holy brethren , partakers of the heavenly calling , consider (5657 ) the Apostle and High Priest of our profession , Christ Jesus ; * Who was (5752 ) faithful to him that appointed (5660 ) him , as also Moses was faithful in all his house . * For this man was counted worthy (5769 ) of more glory than Moses , inasmuch as he who hath builded (5660 ) the house hath more honour than (5719 ) the house . * For every house is builded (5743 ) by some man ; but he that built (5660 ) all things is God . * And Moses verily was faithful in all his house , as a servant , for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after (5702 ); * But Christ as a son over his own house ; whose house are (5748 ) we , if we hold fast (5632 ) the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end . * Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith (5719 ), To day if ye will hear (5661 ) his voice , * Harden (5725 ) not your hearts , as in the provocation , in the day of temptation in the wilderness : * When your fathers tempted (5656 ) me , proved (5656 ) me , and saw (5627 ) my works forty years . * Wherefore I was grieved (5656 ) with that generation , and said (5627 ), They do alway err (5746 ) in their heart ; and they have not known (5627 ) my ways . * So I sware (5656 ) in my wrath , They shall not enter (5695 ) into my rest .) * Take heed (5720 ), brethren , lest there be (5704 ) in any of you an evil heart of unbelief , in departing (5629 ) from the living (5723 ) God . * But exhort (5720 ) one another daily , while it is called (5743 ) To day ; lest any of you be hardened (5686 ) through the deceitfulness of sin . * For we are made (5754 ) partakers of Christ , if we hold (5632 ) the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end ; * While it is said (5745 ), To day if ye will hear (5661 ) his voice , harden (5725 ) not your hearts , as in the provocation . * For some , when they had heard (5660 ), did provoke (5656 ): howbeit not all that came (5631 ) out of Egypt by Moses . * But with whom was he grieved (5656 ) forty years ? was it not with them that had sinned (5660 ), whose carcases fell (5627 ) in the wilderness ? * And to whom sware he (5656 ) that they should not enter (5696 ) into his rest , but to them that believed not (5660 )? * So we see (5719 ) that they could (5675 ) not enter in (5629 ) because of unbelief .
