* But now hath he obtained (5758 ) a more excellent ministry , by how much also he is (5748 ) the mediator of a better covenant , which was established (5769 ) upon better promises . * For if that first covenant had been (5713 ) faultless , then should no place have been sought (5712 ) for the second . * For finding fault (5740 ) with them , he saith (5719 ), Behold (5628 ), the days come (5736 ), saith (5719 ) the Lord , when I will make (5692 ) a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah : * Not according to the covenant that I made with (5656 ) their fathers in the day when I took (5637 ) them by the hand to lead (5629 ) them out of the land of Egypt ; because they continued (5656 ) not in my covenant , and I regarded them not (5656 ), saith (5719 ) the Lord . * For this is the covenant that I will make (5695 ) with the house of Israel after those days , saith (5719 ) the Lord ; I will put (5723 ) my laws into their mind , and write (5692 ) them in their hearts : and I will be (5704 ) to them a God , and they shall be (5704 ) to me a people :
