* Neither by the blood of goats and calves , but by his own blood he entered in (5627 ) once into the holy place , having obtained (5642 ) eternal redemption for us . * For if the blood of bulls and of goats , and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling (5723 ) the unclean (5772 ), sanctifieth (5719 ) to the purifying of the flesh : * How much more shall the blood of Christ , who through the eternal Spirit offered (5656 ) himself without spot to God , purge (5692 ) your conscience from dead works to serve (5721 ) the living (5723 ) God ? * And for this cause he is (5748 ) the mediator of the new testament , that by means (5637 ) of death , for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament , they which are called (5772 ) might receive (5632 ) the promise of eternal inheritance . * For where a testament is , there must also of necessity be (5745 ) the death of the testator (5642 ). * For a testament is of force after men are dead : otherwise it is of no strength (5719 ) at all while the testator (5642 ) liveth (5719 ).
