* Was not Abraham our father justified (5681 ) by works , when he had offered (5660 ) Isaac his son upon the altar ? * Seest thou (5719 ) how faith wrought (5707 ) with his works , and by works was faith made perfect (5681 )? * And the scripture was fulfilled (5681 ) which saith (5723 ), Abraham believed (5656 ) God , and it was imputed (5681 ) unto him for righteousness : and he was called (5681 ) the Friend of God . * Ye see (5719 ) then how that by works a man is justified (5743 ), and not by faith only . * Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified (5681 ) by works , when she had received (5666 ) the messengers , and had sent them out (5631 ) another way ?
