James:3:5-10

* Even so the tongue is (5748 ) a little member , and boasteth great things (5719 ). Behold (5628 ), how great a matter a little fire kindleth (5719 )! * And the tongue is a fire , a world of iniquity : so is (5743 ) the tongue among our members , that it defileth (5723 ) the whole body , and setteth on fire (5723 ) the course of nature ; and it is set on fire (5746 ) of hell . * For every kind of beasts , and of birds , and of serpents , and of things in the sea , is tamed (5743 ), and hath been tamed (5769 ) of mankind : * But the tongue can (5736 ) no man tame (5658 ); it is an unruly evil , full of deadly poison . * Therewith bless we (5719 ) God , even the Father ; and therewith curse we (5736 ) men , which are made (5756 ) after the similitude of God . * Out of the same mouth proceedeth (5736 ) blessing and cursing . My brethren , these things ought (5724 ) not so to be (5738 ).
