* But though he had done (5761 ) so many miracles before them , yet they believed (5707 ) not on him : * That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled (5686 ), which he spake (5627 ), Lord , who hath believed (5656 ) our report ? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed (5681 )? * Therefore they could (5711 ) not believe (5721 ), because that Esaias said (5627 ) again , * He hath blinded (5758 ) their eyes , and hardened (5758 ) their heart ; that they should not see (5632 ) with their eyes , nor understand (5661 ) with their heart , and be converted (5652 ), and I should heal (5667 ) them . * These things said (5627 ) Esaias , when he saw (5627 ) his glory , and spake (5656 ) of him . * Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed (5656 ) on him ; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess (5707 ) him , lest they should be (5638 ) put out of the synagogue : * For they loved (5656 ) the praise of men more than the praise of God .
