* These things have I spoken (5758 ) unto you , that ye should not be offended (5686 ). * They shall put (5692 ) you out of the synagogues : yea , the time cometh (5736 ), that whosoever killeth (5660 ) you will think (5661 ) that he doeth (5721 ) God service . * And these things will they do (5692 ) unto you , because they have not known (5627 ) the Father , nor me . * But these things have I told (5758 ) you , that when the time shall come (5632 ), ye may remember (5725 ) that I told (5627 ) you of them . And these things I said (5627 ) not unto you at the beginning , because I was (5713 ) with you . * But now I go my way (5719 ) to him that sent (5660 ) me ; and none of you asketh (5719 ) me , Whither goest thou (5719 )? * But because I have said (5758 ) these things unto you , sorrow hath filled (5758 ) your heart . * Nevertheless I tell (5719 ) you the truth ; It is expedient (5719 ) for you that I go away (5632 ): for if I go not away (5632 ), the Comforter will not come (5695 ) unto you ; but if I depart (5680 ), I will send (5692 ) him unto you . * And when he is come (5631 ), he will reprove (5692 ) the world of sin , and of righteousness , and of judgment : * Of sin , because they believe (5719 ) not on me ; * Of righteousness , because I go (5719 ) to my Father , and ye see (5719 ) me no more ; * Of judgment , because the prince of this world is judged (5769 ). * I have (5719 ) yet many things to say (5721 ) unto you , but ye cannot (5736 ) bear them (5721 ) now . * Howbeit when he , the Spirit of truth , is come (5632 ), he will guide (5692 ) you into all truth : for he shall not speak (5692 ) of himself ; but whatsoever he shall hear (5661 ), that shall he speak (5692 ): and he will shew (5692 ) you things to come (5740 ). * He shall glorify (5692 ) me : for he shall receive (5695 ) of mine , and shall shew (5692 ) it unto you . * All things that the Father hath (5719 ) are (5748 ) mine : therefore said I (5627 ), that he shall take (5695 ) of mine , and shall shew (5692 ) it unto you . * A little while , and ye shall not see (5719 ) me : and again , a little while , and ye shall see (5695 ) me , because I go (5719 ) to the Father . * Then said (5627 ) some of his disciples among themselves , What is (5748 ) this that he saith (5719 ) unto us , A little while , and ye shall not see (5719 ) me : and again , a little while , and ye shall see (5695 ) me : and , Because I go (5719 ) to the Father ? * They said (5707 ) therefore , What is (5748 ) this that he saith (5719 ), A little while ? we cannot tell (5758 ) what he saith (5719 ). * Now Jesus knew (5627 ) that they were desirous (5707 ) to ask (5721 ) him , and said (5627 ) unto them , Do ye enquire (5719 ) among yourselves of that I said (5627 ), A little while , and ye shall not see (5719 ) me : and again , a little while , and ye shall see (5695 ) me ? * Verily , verily , I say (5719 ) unto you , That ye shall weep (5692 ) and lament (5692 ), but the world shall rejoice (5690 ): and ye shall be sorrowful (5701 ), but your sorrow shall be turned (5695 ) into joy . * A woman when she is in travail (5725 ) hath (5719 ) sorrow , because her hour is come (5627 ): but as soon as she is delivered (5661 ) of the child , she remembereth (5719 ) no more the anguish , for joy that a man is born (5681 ) into the world . * And ye now therefore have (5719 ) sorrow : but I will see (5695 ) you again , and your heart shall rejoice (5690 ), and your joy no man taketh (5719 ) from you . * And in that day ye shall ask (5692 ) me nothing . Verily , verily , I say (5719 ) unto you , Whatsoever ye shall ask (5661 ) the Father in my name , he will give (5692 ) it you . * Hitherto have ye asked (5656 ) nothing in my name : ask (5720 ), and ye shall receive (5695 ), that your joy may be (5753 ) full (5772 ). * These things have I spoken (5758 ) unto you in proverbs : but the time cometh (5736 ), when I shall no more speak (5692 ) unto you in proverbs , but I shall shew (5692 ) you plainly of the Father . * At that day ye shall ask (5698 ) in my name : and I say (5719 ) not unto you , that I will pray (5692 ) the Father for you : * For the Father himself loveth (5719 ) you , because ye have loved (5758 ) me , and have believed (5758 ) that I came out (5627 ) from God . * I came forth (5627 ) from the Father , and am come (5754 ) into the world : again , I leave (5719 ) the world , and go (5736 ) to the Father . * His disciples said (5719 ) unto him , Lo , now speakest thou (5719 ) plainly , and speakest (5719 ) no proverb . * Now are we sure (5758 ) that thou knowest (5758 ) all things , and needest not (5719 ) that any man should ask (5725 ) thee : by this we believe (5719 ) that thou camest forth (5627 ) from God . * Jesus answered (5662 ) them , Do ye now believe (5719 )? * Behold (5628 ), the hour cometh (5736 ), yea , is now come (5754 ), that ye shall be scattered (5686 ), every man to his own , and shall leave (5632 ) me alone : and yet I am (5748 ) not alone , because the Father is (5748 ) with me . * These things I have spoken (5758 ) unto you , that in me ye might have (5725 ) peace . In the world ye shall have (5719 ) (5625 ) (5692 ) tribulation : but be of good cheer (5720 ); I have overcome (5758 ) the world .
