* And the light shineth (5719 ) in darkness ; and the darkness comprehended (5627 ) it not . * There was (5633 ) a man sent (5772 ) from God , whose name was John . * The same came (5627 ) for a witness , to bear witness (5661 ) of the Light , that all men through him might believe (5661 ). * He was (5713 ) not that Light , but was sent to bear witness (5661 ) of that Light . * That was (5713 ) the true Light , which lighteth (5719 ) every man that cometh (5740 ) into the world .
