* And the third day there was (5633 ) a marriage in Cana of Galilee ; and the mother of Jesus was (5713 ) there : * And both Jesus was called (5681 ), and his disciples , to the marriage . * And when they wanted (5660 ) wine , the mother of Jesus saith (5719 ) unto him , They have (5719 ) no wine . * Jesus saith (5719 ) unto her , Woman , what have I to do with thee ? mine hour is not yet come (5719 ). * His mother saith (5719 ) unto the servants , Whatsoever he saith (5725 ) unto you , do (5657 ) it . * And there were (5713 ) set (5740 ) there six waterpots of stone , after the manner of the purifying of the Jews , containing (5723 ) two or three firkins apiece . * Jesus saith (5719 ) unto them , Fill (5657 ) the waterpots with water . And they bare (5656 ) it . * When the ruler of the feast had tasted (5662 ) the water that was made (5772 ) wine , and knew (5715 ) not whence it was (5748 ): (but the servants which drew (5761 ) the water knew (5715 );) the governor of the feast called (5719 ) the bridegroom , * And saith (5719 ) unto him , Every man at the beginning doth set forth (5719 ) good wine ; and when men have well drunk (5686 ), then that which is worse : but thou hast kept (5758 ) the good wine until now . * This beginning of miracles did (5656 ) Jesus in Cana of Galilee , and manifested forth (5656 ) his glory ; and his disciples believed (5656 ) on him . * After this he went down (5627 ) to Capernaum , he , and his mother , and his brethren , and his disciples : and they continued (5656 ) there not many days . * And the Jews passover was (5713 ) at hand , and Jesus went up (5627 ) to Jerusalem , * And found (5627 ) in the temple those that sold (5723 ) oxen and sheep and doves , and the changers of money sitting (5740 ): * And when he had made (5660 ) a scourge of small cords , he drove (5627 ) them all out of the temple , and the sheep , and the oxen ; and poured out (5656 ) the changers money , and overthrew (5656 ) the tables ; * And said (5627 ) unto them that sold (5723 ) doves , Take (5657 ) these things hence ; make 4160 not my Fathers house an house of merchandise . * And his disciples remembered (5681 ) that it was (5748 ) written (5772 ), The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up (5627 ). * Then answered (5662 ) the Jews and said (5627 ) unto him , What sign shewest thou (5719 ) unto us , seeing that thou doest (5719 ) these things ? * Jesus answered (5662 ) and said (5627 ) unto them , Destroy (5657 ) this temple , and in three days I will raise it up (5692 ). * Then said (5627 ) the Jews , Forty and six years was this temple in building (5681 ), and wilt thou rear it up (5692 ) in three days ? * But he spake (5707 ) of the temple of his body . * When therefore he was risen (5681 ) from the dead , his disciples remembered (5681 ) that he had said (5707 ) this unto them ; and they believed (5656 ) the scripture , and the word which Jesus had said (5627 ). * Now when he was (5713 ) in Jerusalem at the passover , in the feast day , many believed (5656 ) in his name , when they saw (5723 ) the miracles which he did (5707 ). * But Jesus did not commit (5707 ) himself unto them , because he knew (5721 ) all men , * And needed (5707 ) not that any should testify (5661 ) of man : for he knew (5707 ) what was (5713 ) in man .
