* And they came (5627 ) unto John , and said (5627 ) unto him , Rabbi , he that was (5713 ) with thee beyond Jordan , to whom thou barest witness (5758 ), behold , the same baptizeth (5719 ), and all men come (5736 ) to him . * John answered (5662 ) and said (5627 ), A man can (5736 ) receive (5721 ) nothing , except it be (5753 ) given (5772 ) him from heaven . * Ye yourselves bear me witness (5719 ), that I said (5627 ), I am (5748 ) not the Christ , but that I am (5748 ) sent (5772 ) before him . * He that hath (5723 ) the bride is (5748 ) the bridegroom : but the friend of the bridegroom , which standeth (5761 ) and heareth (5723 ) him , rejoiceth (5719 ) greatly because of the bridegrooms voice : this my joy therefore is fulfilled (5769 ). * He must (5748 ) increase (5721 ), but I must decrease (5745 ).
