* And they came (5627 ) unto John , and said (5627 ) unto him , Rabbi , he that was (5713 ) with thee beyond Jordan , to whom thou barest witness (5758 ), behold , the same baptizeth (5719 ), and all men come (5736 ) to him . * John answered (5662 ) and said (5627 ), A man can (5736 ) receive (5721 ) nothing , except it be (5753 ) given (5772 ) him from heaven . * Ye yourselves bear me witness (5719 ), that I said (5627 ), I am (5748 ) not the Christ , but that I am (5748 ) sent (5772 ) before him . * He that hath (5723 ) the bride is (5748 ) the bridegroom : but the friend of the bridegroom , which standeth (5761 ) and heareth (5723 ) him , rejoiceth (5719 ) greatly because of the bridegrooms voice : this my joy therefore is fulfilled (5769 ). * He must (5748 ) increase (5721 ), but I must decrease (5745 ). * He that cometh (5740 ) from above is (5748 ) above all : he that is (5752 ) of the earth is (5748 ) earthly , and speaketh (5719 ) of the earth : he that cometh (5740 ) from heaven is (5748 ) above all . * And what he hath seen (5758 ) and heard (5656 ), that he testifieth (5719 ); and no man receiveth (5719 ) his testimony . * He that hath received (5631 ) his testimony hath set to his seal (5656 ) that God is (5748 ) true . * For he whom God hath sent (5656 ) speaketh (5719 ) the words of God : for God giveth (5719 ) not the Spirit by measure unto him . * The Father loveth (5719 ) the Son , and hath given (5758 ) all things into his hand . * He that believeth (5723 ) on the Son hath (5719 ) everlasting life : and he that believeth not (5723 ) the Son shall not see (5695 ) life ; but the wrath of God abideth (5719 ) on him .
